- Linton is a wonderful albeit, small town, with a load of history, distinct, historic buildings, lovely locals and beautiful natural surrounds. Another hidden treasure to be further explored.

love armchair travels with you, Cheryl! what a beautiful small town (my favorite), eerily quiet, serene. Love that you share the before pictures of landmark buildings, so much has stayed true to it's original dwelling. A town frozen in time! Love the footpath walking trails. Loved St Peter's! the monkey trees are beautiful - and the cemetery. thank you Cheryl! 😊
Good Morning Jacqueline!
Ohhh I am so pleased that you enjoyed Linton. It is a lovely, albeit, small town. St Peter's is possibly my favourite building so far in our travels and the location on which it stands is truly stunning and peaceful.
Cemeteries are always fascinating to me as they are full of history. I find myself wondering who the people were, wondering what they did in their life and who mourned them. They touch my heart to be honest.
Hope to 'see' you next video
Cheers

Love Linton, family lived there for decades. Visited often and love that it is not a tourist mecca. Thank you for another great video. Amazing how much you miss when you are just visiting and not exploring.
Hello again Jill,
It is always super to hear from you.
Linton is lovely! We also enjoy the towns that are not tourist heavy. It makes it all more authentic and peaceful to explore.
How interesting that your family lived there....small world!! Why did they leave?
Happy reading and safe travels

Hi Cheryl, I love watching you explore towns around my area. We often drive through these towns but never stop to see the beauty that lies down the back streets. Thank you and cheers.
Good Morning Anne,
You are more than welcome. This is one of the reasons why the channel was begun, so that we could bring the towns and the bookshops/libraries/street libraries to you, in your home for those times and people who cannot explore as we can. We hope it brings a smile to someone's face, including yours!!
Take care until next video,
Happy reading and safe travels

Another interesting town, Cheryl. Looks like a lovely area.
Hello James,
Linton is small, but an interesting and very pretty town with more history than most realise. We truly enjoyed visiting and staying there. We definitely will return as it is also close to other interesting towns.
Happy reading and safe travels

@@AustralianBookTravels-ii8iy Thank you.
@@AustralianBookTravels-ii8iy thanks Cheryl. Been close to Linton once, travelling from Dunkeld to Geelong, via Skipton many years ago.
Interesting tour. But perhaps wear a pair of runners to keep the walks serene, rather than clopping along.
@megbond.
Thank you for joining the channel and watching.
Strange enough, I was wearing sneakers as I do in every video, but the microphone picks up every sound and amplifies it. (we have noticed this in other videos)
Further to this, some viewers have remarked that they enjoy hearing everything to make them feel as though they are right there with me. Others enjoy hearing only music, others want voice-over and the list goes on.
We make these videos with our own funds and on our own time.
I guess not everyone can be pleased.
Thank you again for watching. We hope you continue to enjoy the channel.
Happy reading and safe travels

@@AustralianBookTravels-ii8iy If you know how to editing with software, you can just sit down and recoard 5 mins of ambient sounds and replace and mix into the video repeatedly, even it can be used in any other video when you need.
@@jxmai7687 Thank you but I do know how to edit video. If you view other videos on the channel, I use music and other sounds when required.
Some viewers appreciate all authentic sounds including footsteps, this is why I chose, for this video to leave the footsteps in.
We hope you continue to enjoy the channel.

My mum worked in the bank and that's were she met my dad who was the police Sargent son, that was in about 1947 or so
Oh WOW phoebedavies4383!
How interesting. Do you have more of your family history? This is what I so enjoy with exploring towns and properties, is the history. Trying to imagine who, what, where, when is fascinating.
We hope you continue to enjoy the channel.
Happy reading and safe travels
