They went from the four man set up to the three, assuming so they would not over talk each other, as some liked to do (although it still happened even at three people on screen) and then ceased entirely. It may not have been as popular as AVGN, but that is a tall bar to climb. I guess they just had other things they wanted to pursue. I still rewatch them now.

I love how the Rental reviews are just so casual. You can tell the guys are really giving their honest opinions, which make the reviews feel more real.
It's funny that, while you have TH-camrs throwing out high production quality videos to try and WOW you, we get this really awesome and simple video of just some chill dudes having conversations about movies and having a good time. Just makes you feel like you're part of the conversation even though you know you can't physically add to it. One of my favorite series to watch on TH-cam to be honest keep the rentals coming!
Another vote for *Red Dawn* if James really hasn't seen any other Swayze movies that's next one he MUST see or else he risks losing some of his 80's cred.
I used to live in the east end of Toronto back in the mid 90's and Jeff Healey used to play regularly at a cafe / bar there. Would be walking home from work and stick around to listen once in a while! He was a very nice, cool dude.

And as to the question raised around the 8:00 minute mark, it was apparently a thing for bands to be attacked during performances at bars. Both Sweet's Ballroom Blitz and the Stones You Can't Always Get What You Want were inspired by incidents of the bands being driven off stage by a barrage of beer bottles if I'm remembering to stories correctly.
Tail end was great. Would love to see more casual chats and sharing old stories. Everyone can relate to that. I especially love hearing old stories from behind the scenes from film makers, cheers.
The wire mesh was for crowd control. Bars would have talents on but ppl would be so critical an throw bottles an try to storm the stage. It's mainly for punk bars or dive bars.

He BADLY wanted Point Break to be a franchise, but that didn't happen and wanted to do a remake to get the franchise going, but never got the money, so he ended up producing Fast and Furious which was essentially a remake of Pointe Break of sorts and got the franchise he wanted. He wasn't satisfied, however, and finally got the opportunity to do his remake which was a box office flop.
I remember watching this movie when i was a kid, and of course Patrick is amazing and i like all of his movies, but what really got me was THAT guitar player... i was like, "damn that guy is blind? is he really playing, no tricks??" ... years later, i came to find that was a real guitar player, named Jeff Healey, and oh my god, that guy is f-ing good!! Patrick amazed me with his fighting skills... and Jeff, well, he destroys on the guitar the whole movie... one of the best movies i remember watching, nice choice guys! And RIP both Patrick and Jeff, legends of their time! And remember: Reeeeeeed Daaaaawnnnnnnn.... lol

Trivia: in Spain, this movie was titled "De profesión, duro". It translates to "Occupation: badass". Pretty accurate.
I love how there's actual continuity in the review series.
I want to give James credit for it since he did Board James but all these guys are just clever, I love it.
