well to be honest it was also considering that his area did not have competitions for a long time. So it was a while until his part of the world had a competition.
Really? I have been cubing for 4 ish months and I average around 20-22 seconds. I'm not that much behind where feliks was but he is WAYYYY better than I am.
Wait, but if you give him a WR for breaking 3 WR within a day, shouldn't you give him a WR for breaking 4 WR in a day? Wait, if you give him 5 WR for breaking 3 WR within a day, plus the WR for that WR, shouldn't you give him a WR for having a WR WR or 3 WR? What?!?
Kevin Li I think you misunderstand me - your original comment was that he should get a World Record for getting 3 World Records within a day. I replied with a joke, saying that if he should get a World Record for getting 3 World Records in a day (Which would be 4 World Records, 3+1), then he should get a World Record for getting 4 World Records within a day (The 3 initial World Records + the World Record for getting 3 World Records), which would then mean that he should have 5 world records. And so on ad infinitum.
Oh men!!!!!! Feliks is my inspiration to be speedcuber, I have kind of the same age when I buy first cube, and I have been speedcubing for more or less 1 year and I am sub 15. My dream is to reach him and have the same spectacular times he have all the competitions. :)
I'm so late to this game, forty years old, started cubing this past December just to say I could solve one.. Currently rocking a solid 3.5 minute solve on the 3x3 and learning to hate "parity errors" on the 4x4. To see Feliks killing the 7 second barrier is awesome and humbling at the same time.. I'll be happy when I learn F2L and can get below 2 minutes.
Look it up again Mats holds only one world record. He used to hold those but they've been beaten. Feliks holds right know 5, more than anyone in the cubing history.
Feliks started subbing 20s after just 3 months, I've inky been cubing for 3 months and I'm still in the 30s. I hope he realized when he was 13 he would one day be one of the most famous solvers in history
Hey fazdad1, sorry to keep on bugging you about the musci you use, but what are the songs at the beginning and end of this vid? and are they available for download... and where? :P
You should do one called "The road to greatness" And then show every single world record he has (Shortened of course) and then show his most recent one at the end
@fazdad1 Thank you for uploading this video, it is an inspirational journey that will help many people to work harder in order to accomplish their goals. I am one of those people who will try harder to accomplish my goals thanks to this video.
So how many other talents does Feliks has beside cubing and playing piano. Maybe you should get a film of him doing some piano stuff, I would love to see that and hopefully other people as well! I think it be awesome if you do upload some piano videos that Feliks can do.
@itsdemisselb1 dont worry, fridrich method should probably come next. and btw, pll, oll, f2l are different stages of solving. fridrich is really good b/c it has 2-look pll, 2-look oll, and intuitive 1 step f2l. i can get at around 30 seconds, but ive also just started cubing again.
is Zemdegs part of his first name or is it his middle name? i just ask because you said that his surname is Latvian. it kind of confused me a little bit.
I dont understand one thing , in 0:41 , the photo of feliks's channel is of the Australian championchip 2010 right? , if is , i dont understand the date: 6-14-2008? , in conclusion fazdad1 , your soon is BRILLIANT ;)
1 question...what technik do you use to solve cube...I use f2l,2 look OLL and 2 look PLL do you do that aswell or not? (if you do ofcuorse you don't use 2 look )
what type of cube was feliks using as his main before the lubix ultimate and dayan zanchi? i can't tell if it's a c4u cube or a alpha v because it has c4u stickers but sounds like an alpha v
Things like this slightly discourage me from cubing. My best is 25.56 seconds achieved in about a year of solving, most of the time I didn't even practice. Even though I am not a good speedcuber I try to beat my times. That feeling when you beat your record is just great!
I've been cubing for 2 months and my average is 18.42 ao100, and my best is 15.24, but this was before the internet was a major part of our lives and the algs and stuff has improved drastically so he is god.
i started cubing in fifth grade but unfortunately didnt find the community or speedcubes so i sort of forgot about it until seventh grade. however i took long breaks even since then, so i havent progressed as much as i could have. :(
@Stephen Brush I use that book. It helps a lot and it's easy to understand. My record is 27.39 sec I usually get 30-48 in my solves. I've been speed cubing for about 8 months. I also use other videos.
Yo fazdad1? Is Feliks gonna be teaching his son/daughter how to cube by the time hes a dad? I feel like we 90s kids are awesome like we're going to be awesome parents once we show our kids how to solve the rubiks cubes and then there friends in the future will be amaze at how they can do it!
i wish i would've started speed cubing at a young age so i could've memorized the OLL and PLL algarithms. but now as a sophmore in high school i cant find the time too. maybe i can do it this summer;)
*sigh* I wish I kept cubing when I was 7, I didn't understand how to do it before so I only just got into it like 3 months ago and now im 13 with a pb of 15.xx seconds :(
Does anyone notice that he grew like 5 inches from his first competition when he was 13.5 years old to his second one where he got the 9.21 WR average when he was 14 years old?
Can't believe it's been 10 years!! So many memories! I need to start cubing again
We need a video update! :)
Ciao! :D
Ciao
Ciao
He set a world record in his secong competition?!? Is Feliks even human?!?
Keith Masongsong this was also when records could actually be beaten like that
well to be honest it was also considering that his area did not have competitions for a long time. So it was a while until his part of the world had a competition.
minh thai set a world record in his first competition
No it's a robot
Feliks 2019: *laughs at 4.22 seconds*
Yusheng du: laughs at 3.45 seconds
robot: laughs in 0.38 seconds
Normal people: *laughs at 5 years and counting*
@@arizonaicedtea6438 Feliks has 2 youtube videos of solves faster than that. 3.33 and 3.41 so Feliks still wins.
@@spooderdan9127 Not official time though :>
It makes me happy to see his success and also to see your great support for him. It's very inspiring.
0:00 A legend was born
At 5:58, did I hear someone shout hacks?

That's Tim major
Feliks thought he was going to have a high five
Feliks: Sub-20 in two months

Chrnan6710 it took me five months to get sub 30
CGYT yeah very good
I agree feliks is so amzing, im sub 25 almost a year
After two moths he was able to be sub 20 I have been cubing for a year and my pb is 23.22
Joseph Carinci lol ur pb is .3 seconds faster than my old record wow
My name is Patrick Star now it is 19.40
Joey Cubes my pb's 15 seconds after 2 years of Cubing
Teddylirious I just got a 14.04
Really? I have been cubing for 4 ish months and I average around 20-22 seconds. I'm not that much behind where feliks was but he is WAYYYY better than I am.
Woah, so Feliks broke the single that day, and then beat it again, and broke the average wr? Shouldn't that be a wr for beating 3 wr in a day
Wait, but if you give him a WR for breaking 3 WR within a day, shouldn't you give him a WR for breaking 4 WR in a day? Wait, if you give him 5 WR for breaking 3 WR within a day, plus the WR for that WR, shouldn't you give him a WR for having a WR WR or 3 WR? What?!?
no, if he breaks the world record multiple times, only his latest one counts
Kevin Li I think you misunderstand me - your original comment was that he should get a World Record for getting 3 World Records within a day. oh.... sry bout that
+Alister Haha recursion ftw
This has really inspired me! I hope to one day meet Feliks Zemdegs! You are just amazing sir! :D
In 2 days he’s in my home town in switzerland doing a competition lol
Oh men!!!!!! Feliks is my inspiration to be speedcuber, I have kind of the same age when I buy first cube, and I have been speedcubing for more or less 1 year and I am sub 15. My dream is to reach him and have the same spectacular times he have all the competitions. :)
Hello David. I love the music at the beginning of the video. What is the name of that song?
The song is called 'Soneta Nemieram' . It was written by a Latvian rock band I was in back in the eighties.
@@ZemdegsD Awesome! Thanks for responding.
I was proud of sub 40 in 3 months until I watched this... :(

awesome video
He said ya sure if anyone can beat his world record, and Mats Valk followed his true champion words.
Mats did it only 0.11 seconds faster, and plus, Mats holds only 1 world record, while Feliks holds quite a few.
Look it up again Mats holds only one world record. He used to hold those but they've been beaten. Feliks holds right know 5, more than anyone in the cubing history.
Feliks also beat his 4x4 world record, and beat him in the competations and holds way more records. So who's better?
I know Mats is pretty good but I support Feliks!
Marcos Manuel are you some gayshit or something?
Feliks! Du bist immer fantastich!
He solve 3x3 Cube faster than I solve 2x2 cube.
Wow i really like this video. Its full of hope and purity. You can make sure im taking my cube right now!
i have 18 years old... this kid 15... wow... he is my hero...
PLEASE PLEASE DO a road to championship it would be awesome! This video sure was!
How did he get to sub 20 into two months? I'm barely sub 23 into about a year if I am correct.
I have watched this video sooo many times
Who is seeing it in 2020
I can see how amazing and fascinating the quality of the cubes back then
Feliks started subbing 20s after just 3 months, I've inky been cubing for 3 months and I'm still in the 30s. I hope he realized when he was 13 he would one day be one of the most famous solvers in history
Now he’s gotten a solve about half that time! 3.28

that's a fantastic video, you should be proud of your son.
please will you announce it somehow so that i can be sure that im there to meet him?
At 7:27 an image of a speed solving book titled "SPEEDSOLVING THE CUBE" pops up for half a second. Was that a book Feliks used?
@fazdad1
Thank you for uploading this video, it is an inspirational journey that will help many people to work harder in order to accomplish their goals. I am one of those people who will try harder to accomplish my goals thanks to this video.
David, i have a question to him, is only practising the best way to get faster? Solving and solving again? Or did he do something else?
Took almost a decade for the world record to be half of that
He is one of the speedcuber that inspired me at cubing

How?! I've been cubing on and off for like 7 years and my average is around 25, lol. Do you know full oll?
Where did you bought the 3x3 on 0:43 and the 2x2x2 on 1:48 from??
do you use full oll and pll and if you do, how long did it take you to learn them all?
Has Feliks ever been to the UK open and if he has will he ever come again?
i started cubing in fifth grade but unfortunately didnt find the community or speedcubes so i sort of forgot about it until seventh grade. however i took long breaks even since then, so i havent progressed as much as i could have. :(
Nice he is very fast!!! Does he have any plans on beating christian kaserer 0.69 seconds 2x2?
@fazdad1 are there any seen videos of him solving a magic?
2:35 the guy talking on the mic keeps on glancing at Feliks. Great job!
Feliks is definitely a legendary cuber.
i don't find video in youtube have you a link?
feliks, you are the greatest of all time
Feliks zemdegs please make a tutorial of all patterns.... in 3rd layer and the last layer movess.. please.... :)
This boy was built for cubing.
In the first clip the 19 second solve, did he use full oll and pll? Cus he would have learnt it pretty quick?!
Hey,can you please tell me how much does Feliks practice? :D
who's the song in the beginning of the video??
Hey fazdad do you know what tutorial Felix watched?
Feliks is really one awesome guy!
@Stephen Brush I use that book. It helps a lot and it's easy to understand. My record is 27.39 sec I usually get 30-48 in my solves. I've been speed cubing for about 8 months. I also use other videos.
3:58 sub 9 with this locks, on this cube... Its RC I think. Sick
2019 anybody?........
PLEASE do a road to championship!
What kind of speed cube does Felix use? I wanna get one
If you ask Feliks if anyone can beat that record...
...he says, "Yeah, sure"
These are the words of real champion!!!
awesome video ... loved it :-)
Do you know which method Feliks use?
i need to kno how to solve it faster all i know is the fredrich method any other methods should i kno pls help?
Jack Black You'll need to ask that on the speedcubing forum
fridrich is a good method.. its what feliks uses. however, alex lau, another very fast cuber ("5BLD" on youtube) Uses the roux method. Both are equal.
***** faster w/ cfop but switching to roux because its more fun i average 11 with cfop and 14-15 with roux
What is that cube for the 9.21
Heh, I was thinking of the exact same answer with the question about the 'secret' :D
12 years of non-stop practice... it does make sense.
Yo fazdad1? Is Feliks gonna be teaching his son/daughter how to cube by the time hes a dad? I feel like we 90s kids are awesome like we're going to be awesome parents once we show our kids how to solve the rubiks cubes and then there friends in the future will be amaze at how they can do it!
Thank you for fast answer, without fail? what do you mean? thank you!
@fazdad1 Just update and kind of say how he got from 6.77 to current WR (5.66)?
i wish i would've started speed cubing at a young age so i could've memorized the OLL and PLL algarithms. but now as a sophmore in high school i cant find the time too. maybe i can do it this summer;)
did they already happen. if not when is he coming
What timer is that?
You remembered the exact year, month, day, hour, minute, and second of buying your rubiks cube? Wow. Impressive.
what cube is he using at 3.55?
Hey fazdad, Wheres Fazmom?
Tim McMahon is WCA delegat for Australia ? Am I right ?
Was he CN at his first comp ?
What type of cube does he use now?
Tad kads tev ir istais vards? Davis vai Davids?
0:35 I practice cubing for 2 years, and my average is only 27 seconds (19.88 being my record) 😭
I'm 13 and my pb is 6.76 with a pll skip
Wow impressive :0 keep on kiddo you might become the next "best cuber"
Haha thank you
Nice!!
lol, my pb is also a 6.xx(Forgot the exact time)
*sigh* I wish I kept cubing when I was 7, I didn't understand how to do it before so I only just got into it like 3 months ago and now im 13 with a pb of 15.xx seconds :(
Does anyone notice that he grew like 5 inches from his first competition when he was 13.5 years old to his second one where he got the 9.21 WR average when he was 14 years old?
He practiced 1 hour a day and world champion in 1.5 years? HOW?
dang feliks looked SO young at 0:10 OMG
Excelent video! But now, you will may do a video "Feliks Zemdegs - The road to 6.65" :D
i remember he said somewhere he first learnt to solve the cube with dan brown's beginners method
Ayyyeee. thx for the inspiration, now I gotta learn a 3x3 cube lol
Nice to know. At this time Felix hold the 1-handed record with 6.88 ^.^
why would feliks's dad show a mats valk cubing video?
