On TH-cam for sure, great lord chapter master. xD Ah...I found something in the campaign trailer I would like to bring to your attention. Apparently the whole campaign map including the full display of systems per sector is visible in the campaign trailer. Did a short video on it, maybe you might want to take a look, dear master of the Phalanx.
That's a true story, I was there. CM Valrak, I need your help! Some friends of mine are going to Japan in a few weeks and they plan to bring back goodies. What are some of the Japan-exclusive products, especially space marines but Imperium in general?
@@michaelhowell2326 Space Marine Heroes series 2 is still a Japan exclusive. If you want dynamically posed Terminators that aren't faction-specific, they're pretty nifty. Then they focus their guns elsewhere. Each race is different though; try and get right up in the enemy face with fragile Eldar and you'll get slaughtered.

This is true. A son of Dorn would not shy away from a headon fight. However, wouldn't Dorn use every tool in his arsenal to maximize victory on the battlefield? There are many more battles in this galaxy to fight and the less battle brothers that are lost means a better chance of protecting mankind.
Well, in a Horus Heresy novel Dorn did cloak his forces from an ork Waaagh! . They basically popped from underground positions and decimated the enemy that way. Do you doubt the wisdom of the Praetorian of Terra?
Well there's a solution right there. A Caestus Assault Ram/Boarding Torpedo with nothing but Primaris Sicarius. Can't imagine they'd have a hard counter against him.
Im an ork player through and through but that was the most glorious purge I have ever seen, the foul xenos scoured from their unclean ships even as they attempt in vain to reclaim them
Playing this with a few Hunters for control points/scans. I prefer the Improved augurarray over Terminators. Terminators is only for the flagship :-l Works like a charm.
There was at least one point in that match where if he'd thought to detonate the hulks all at once, Valrak's ships were kind of boxed in and a lot could have been seriously injured or routed.
By the Emperor that was glorious. Dorn would have been proud this day, because this is what I loved about Gothic, taking out the enemy up close and personal!
Only remark I have is that if it is possible, you should’ve attempted to board their drifting ships, bc in this battle he managed to come back in and recapture one of his ships. Board it, capture it (if possible) add their firepower to yours, and after the battle deliver it to the AM or ordo xenos for study..
The simulation shown here has been a fair example of how to conduct a strike fleet, but there are a few things in need of discussion Be aware that launching fighters does show the enemy the launching ships outline for a moment, revealing your deployment. The direction those fighters approach from also gives them information that they don't have to have. In case your enemy is aware of this and attempts to use it for their own plans, place one of your light cruisers aside from your main deployment as a vanguard. When the fighters approach the Xenos fleet from a different angle then your main fleets approach, it might also redirect them to turn their movement, leaving their sides and rears open for the tender reprimanding of your forward bombardment cannons. The same goes for Augur probes. A probe launched from the heart of your fleet is a bold invitation to direct fire at where you are. Better to launch such munitions from places where your force is not amassed. While running silent and striking at an enemy unaware is a sound and approved tactic (Codex Astartes section BXXVII:Obfuscation in the Void / Tactica Imperialis - Void Captains handy Sheet of Reminders p.3472, Paragraph Epsilon), when Battle is joined your Techmarines and Servitors might be better employed in aiding the Gunnery Crews or Enacting Damage Control. Silent Engines do not dissuade Xenos from firing at point blank range, while swifter Bombardments and sturdier crafts are a joy to the Emperor. When selecting what vessels to bring forth, do not discount your smallest crafts. Their ability to reveal hidden enemies is exceptionally useful, especially against foes lacking in the courage to stand tall before the Judgement of the Emperor (Deep inside, they know what they did - we just need to help them to really get that deep inside themselves. Preferably by Bolter and Chainsword). While Drukhari and the other Aeldari ships would like to run around and hide like Catachanian sabre rats - your frigates can keep them from simply vanishing after their cowardly "Vauls Maneuver" ( Personally - I believe it is how they pronounce "Fall back" with their misshapen orifices) so that your Cruisers might tear their sails and invite themselves over for Tea and Bloodshed. The same would go for the Tyranid, but it has been noticed that these Xenos show a distinct disregard for Astartes Boarding. Identifying the literal brain of the fleet and tickling it with all the available Forces of your fleet at once can work.
I really like that fleets can approach victory in a number of different ways , and even though Im not against boarding ships and killing crew , I feel it shouldnt be so easy and fast .
Thanks for sharing this tactic. it works great against the enemies of the imperium even the pesky eldars (whick i hate with a zeal). Haven´t tried it against tau yet but they are on my purge list.
Very nice strat. I still take bigger ships and just find a nice spot to camp, send out probes to spot then fighters to tie up guns while boarding torps take out ships forcing them towards me then I close range, disruption bomb and charge into them like you do and clean up. I'm going to try your strat though as well as it seemed fun.
This style works vs low tier to medium players in the bracket (almost every player). Vs strong/elite players you will be crushed. In elite leagues this does now work so well (this is why races as Tyranids or Space marines are worst in such leagues - but in low tier play they are thought for OP, they are not). VS this style you need to scan constantly to see enemy ships (4 escorts will do the job). Need lances too and planes (balanced builds - not just macro weapons). WIth brace for impact your turrets will be much better vs torpedo/planes spam. Very strong players know this and use it. I am not saying this build is weak - its very annoying and with regular build and not knowing the enemy race it will be very hard... I think we need to know what race the enemy will play to choose proper builds (same as in Total war warhammer 1 or 2). We still will have many options for diferent plays. Now it is very bad - some of the builds are good vs Eldars, other vs Necrons, third vs chaos, etc. You cant prepare vs everything. Such builds as this of Space marines just work very well vs all races - but this is because this is the whole strategy of SM! SM does not have other strategy - only assault!!! If they try to shoot the enemy they will lose every time (except vs Tyranids)... Other SM ships are even stronger in assault actions!!! If you go with 6 cruisers (2 with planes and 4 with torpedos) you will be stronger in assault but will lose steath. So such build with light cruisers is MUCH weaker then cruiser (or even balanced build with BS, C and LC) build if your ships are spotted (which strong players will do). LC are also very weak vs self explode - this would destroy all of your ships (with 1-2 blows - which your enemy did not?!?)...
What I found some success with is to use the battle barg mk1 as the knife fighter and use the lance strike cruiser and 2 vanguard with lances and nova frigates in a group with foreward firing stance
Nice and interesting video. I did not play online at all yet, just focusing onto campaign. I wonder if the disrupter bombs are not visible during their warm-up time in PVP? Are they invisible or why did the Tau not try to avoid their AOE?
