Definitely not as tasty as you make but tasty enough to get complement from my husband every time 😁.love your dishes ,love your channel and love you 💕
I made this last night with an amazing rib eye and OMG it was amazing. One note for you Marion on the website the recipe is missing the amount of chilli to add. I went with 2 tablespoons. So good!
OMG... I made this today. I did steak for my family and chicken breast for me. It was so so good. 😋 Highly recommend trying this recipe! This is the 5th recipe I tried Marion. I am hooked girlfriend!!!
Oh yummm. I have a ribeye in fridge I'm gonna try this. Thank you. I flip my steaks a lot too. Though I never thought to put them in the oven. I will try this too.
I just found this video now. Don’t know I missed it before it’s almost 1am and I’m pondering whipping out the minute steaks and doing this but I’m full from the Soto Ayam I cooked earlier. Nonetheless I’ve found corn chips and Doritos cheese salsa to much on even though my belly is full. Food porn late at night isn’t the smartest idea but seriously how good does this recipe look?! 🤤 🤤 🤤
I've been stewing over what to make for Thanksgiving this year. We will be practicing social distancing so it's just my son and myself. First, I thought we would do a hot pot or maybe hibachi but now that I've seen this, it's a done deal! Thanks, Marion!
Well, you know steak and the USA go together like peas in a pod and who can pass up buttered steak? One of the best meals around with any sides you like. Thank you for another great recipe 🥰
hi!!! I may have to order the tamrind paste online, but before I do, is tamrind sauce the same thing? and your chili powder almost looks like red chili peppers, are those the same things? :)
Hey Marion this looks great once again, thanks for sharing! At what heat do you recommend cooking that steak in the oven? Do you flip it while its in the oven aswell?
@ Freddee Krueger Well you know steak and the USA are the same words so we've been doing this for EVer. From a big family, I remember my mom putting the T-Bone on the table and it was damn near as big as the table! It fed seven of us, plus the steak sandwiches my dad would make?? Ooh la la ❣😍
I'd need to be left alone with that steak too!! Looks scrumptious. Would love some garlic and olive oil noodles to go with it. Yum. 💖💕💚💗💜😍😋💟😄💙💛💘😁💓 Yes, I'm in love with this recipe!
Is there anything I replace the fish sauce with? I can't find it in my local supermarket and with the lockdown here in Germany, it's difficult to travel to nearby towns for the Asian supermarkets.
Also in Germany, odd you can't find it at your local supermarket? Even Rewe here in Berlin has it at all locations - If you strike out you can find it on amazon :) Good luck!
I hope this help en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suea_rong_hai Since this one is an old dish, so there is many different in detail about folktales why we name it like this. Lol Such as: Tiger eat many part of cow until it's stomach feeling full, but one last bite catch a full flavor from brisket part which still left. Make it get big eye open O_O but can't eat anything anymore! So it cry because other carnivore will come and get this part instead. And: One day. A huge tiger hunt down a big old cow and find a flavor from side of brisket part so fabulous~ but it's head already too big to get this part out of the bone. So it decides to bite the bone to crack open, but after finished cracking it's own teeth got badly hurt... to chew that brisket. Then huge tiger feeling regret and cry while continue sucking a brisket juice because it cannot chew anymore. ps. On Southern province of Thailand, have different tales and use other part where it next to cow backbone, more tender and hard to get it out without using knife, while Northeastern province usually use brisket part by common. :)
I tried this but it didn't have much flavor though the steak itself turned out tasty (I've been trying to get better at cooking beef ) The salt was a bit much for my steak but the butter just tasted like butter to me? Did anyone else try this recipe?
The recipe has 1 cup of butter & 1 tablespoon each of brown sugar & tamarind paste. Brown sugar there's keto versions of & the tamarind paste is 7.5 grams of carbs in a tablespoon. So it would end up with 7.5 carbs for the whole cup of butter. It's going to work out to less than 1 gram of carb per serving. Fish sauce is made from just fish & salt so it's fine on keto.
Now you've gone and got me all confused. In many of you wonderful videos you tell us to NOT to touch the meat in the pan, let it sear, brown, caramalise and get great flavour, and now in this recipe you say keep turning the steak over, explain yourself lady!
Marion is such a unique cooking channel because she herself is one of a kind! Makes me so hungry when I see her devouring and reacting to her food ♥️
When Marion was seasoning the steak, it literally went gaga in my head and said
"Rain. On. Me."
**Cue Dance music**
LOL

if someone doesn't like fish sauce, what other substitutions can you recommend?
You're killing me, Marion. Not my Grandma's compound butter:)
Hey Marion this looks great once again, thanks for sharing! At what heat do you recommend cooking that steak in the oven? Do you flip it while its in the oven aswell?
Maybe this will help. She did mention in another comment it was in the I’ve. 3-5 minutes.
@@debbiepoling6205 yeah that accounts for the time, but I still don't know about the heat or the flipping :)

That chili spice is basically red pepper flakes in the US.
Ahh thanks!! Is it easy to find in the US?
@@TheHappyPantry yes it is. It is everywhere. 😁👍
@aliee k doesn't matter, it can be doctored up. I'm just letting people know what they can use if they cannot find her version. I'm being helpful.
how can we use chicken chop shall we use the same method of grill it
Where do you get that pan?
Yes! I would like to know where that amazing pan was bought from! 🙌🏻
Can I make this with shrimp? If so, how do I prepare the shrimp?
I love a good steak!! 💕
It’s called “daging harimau menangis” here in Malaysia. Everyone is making it atm 😛

You could add some salted anchovies no problem.

don`t be so sure we don`t like that much chilly ha ha you`d be surprised
Never thought of putting chillies on steak. You’re going to make me fat. Ok ok... fatter than usual. Rofl. Great video
@ Michael Jin
Awww, chilies won't make you fat! Pile 'em on 😎
aw shoot, I should have watched this video again. She said tamarind paste so I got that, but it's tamarind concentrate I should have gotten.. liquid.
7:22
She didn’t mention the oven temperature or time and I didn’t get what sauce she mentioned after tamarind. Not for beginners I think.
Do you maybe have a keto recipe for the butter because i cant use Brown sugar and tamarind and i think the fish Sauce either
Thai chili powder looks like red chili flakes
Sooo it won't be a happy steak 😂😂
DiD SHE Say Steak?
that not powder is flakes
3.58, I wanna get this guy nice and firm, 5555
Does anybody else think that it looks like she has no actual glass in her new frames? In her black glasses you can see the glass and here you can’t...
she ate too salty food......
Now you've gone and got me all confused. In many of you wonderful videos you tell us to NOT to touch the meat in the pan, let it sear, brown, caramalise and get great flavour, and now in this recipe you say keep turning the steak over, explain yourself lady!
A steak is different to minced meat
