    This is the best ever! making for 2nd time today. Marion, you're a big help today! Started by thawing chicken drumsticks. Then a neighbor brought over a ton of fresh carrots, a friend dropped off Thai bird peppers from her garden( called Thai finger peppers here and they grow beautifully) So am doing this soup, then the carrot salad. Any chicken left? It will be one of your stir-frys tonight, with stuff to share with neighbors & stock my freezer. I've followed you for years, never had a fail! Thank you@

    Love this! I make a very, very similar soup all the time in two variants: one includes the garlic/coriander/pepper paste, OR I omit that an opt instead for some ginger and galangal. I also usually add a bit of oyster sauce with the soy sauces, and chili vinegar and crispy fried garlic as a garnish. It is tied with Sarawak laksa as my favourite noodle soup.

    Great recipe once again Marion, I’m going to use chicken thighs 😉 glad to see your using the skin on the chicken. I like the bought chicken stock it saves a lot of work. Great idea soaking the noodles first.
    I love the green veggies and herbs. Hold the chillies 🌶️ 😊

    Marion - Noodle soup is expensive and hard to find where I live [Dhaka, Bangladesh] but it's one of my absolute favorite things in the world. Every other recipe I have ever seen takes either ingredients that I can't find or hours of simmering. Yours is the only recipe I've ever managed to follow and GOD it was AMAZING

  • @discoverydavid
    @discoverydavid 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Choy Sum (Pak Guang Tung) is one of my favourite "greens:" the tender, deep green, young stalks are really flavourful in an enigmatic way, a kind of peppery celery, but nicer! You're blessed that you can get veg like that. In the UK Asian supermarkets they go for really silly prices; so as they gow easily (even in a UK winter!) you can save yourself a bundle by planting your own Bak Choi, Choy Sum, Holy Basil etc...a window box will do.
