The US dollar became fiat in1971 when the US dollar de-pegged from gold. Its been 53 years since and the damage in now coming to roost and all of us are paying for it as a result 😟
As usual expert should talk about topics in their field. Free education is incredibly important, same as health insurance. Going to country which have both and saying it's the root of all evil is kinda wild.
Nobody is against education and healtcare. It's just that we know, that having government responsible for bread and shoes? Is to eventually get only wrong footed shoes, and quality bread available in quantity, only to the politically connected. And same is happening to the health and education. Literacy rates are dropping like stones. Healthcare costs are exploding like rockets, and availabilities collapsing.
@@Tenebrousable Well, literacy rates in the Czech Republic are nearly 100%. Our education system is bad but it works for the most part. I don't see any better alternatives to the state regarding big spending like building infrastructure and running schools and hospitals.
@@K0T3J1 We know government is the worst functioning and most expensive production alternative for any service. Doesn't matter if you can't see how to build a better alternative. Someone out of millions, will be smarter than you. What we also know, that if they worked in the government? They would not be allowed to practice their building and development abilities, to their fullest extent. The central commitee will not give permission. They can't take the risk, they can't take the cost reduction. They can not take the deflation. Deflation is prohibited. Running costs going down, is prohibited in all government production.
Private hospitals would emerge that are far more efficient and effective. Same with schools. You think the rich send their children to public schools because it ‘works’ as you say. Of course not, they know it’s trash and is built for plebes that have to work all day. Ask yourself this, should you have to pay taxes to fund healthcare for other people that smoke, drink excessively, let themselves become obese, drug addicts. It makes no logical sense that you who exercises and takes care of yourself should have to pay for everyone else who doesn’t. You’re incentivizing people to be unhealthy because they know they don’t have to pay for the consequences of it. That’s why slow societal decline is occurring because no one is responsible for their own actions because their neighbors end up paying for them. Why be a self-determined individual when you can just leech off others with no repercussions. In America most doctors want to just make enough to be rich and then quit because the system is so defunct and corrupt and they hate working in it

What an incredible answer by Saifedean! Clear, concise and to the point. We should show these at least first 5 minutes to everyone.
Totally agree
Amazing discussion. Thank you all. Ammous took some very important political positions. Really deep and smart.
