Thank you so much for this! so for the item dimensions when packed you just measure the package once you have it all packed and ready to go with a measuring tape?
Yep! That's what I do and I've found that it really cuts down on the time it takes me to ship. The only issue comes when someone orders multiple quantities of the same product. Etsy will try to calculate it for you but I usually have to change the package dimensions when I'm preparing the labels.

Hello Charmis, I want to start part time etsy business but no time for packaging orders.what I do.
You might want to check this. A couple of years ago my ex had an amazon account (for like 3 mos) but he opened a ups account for free and was able to get like 50 or 100 of those labels (the 2 on a page ) for free. 😉.

Hey I have a quick question . Can we complete order in Etsy without using Etsy shipping label ? I could do before but not they ask a tracking no to complete order .

Hi Charmeas...I'm using USPS priority flat rate envelopes, but etsy requires three dimensions when the envelope has only 2 dimensions (12.5 and 95 inches)...do you know what I would do in this case?
When you're doing flat rate envelopes, you'll click the drop down under "package type" and choose which flat rate envelope it is and the dimension choices should disappear because Etsy already has the dimensions of those in the system

If I'm using etsy label first class package under 15 ounce , can USPS mailman can pick up from my home if I schedule for pickup. I don't understand pick up is for first class package or only priority.

Hi! I have them pickup both first class and priority. The only things that they say they won't pickup are "items over 70 lbs or 130". And mailpieces weighing more than 10 oz bearing only stamps as postage are not eligible for pickup."

I hope you can help answer my questions please. I am still stuck with the shipping process on Etsy. When the order comes in and you hit get labels through Etsy . Do you need a USPS account set up already , that transfers over to the Etsy account ? Do you ship from your home address? It shows the sender address? Lastly , after you label the packages where do you drop off ? Thanks
No, you won't need a USPS account when shipping through Etsy. You can ship from your home or business address. And you will drop it off at the post office. I hope this helps!
So I have a lot of questions I’m doing a slime business and I wanna know does it matter what packaging I use to send it out or do I have to use the packaging from the post office and use my Pagaging from Amazon and put it in the one from the post office if that makes since, and also I don’t have a printer and I am wondering do post offices print out labels for u Bc I don’t have anything to print the label, and then if u ship of esty do u just weight it and print the label and just go to the post office and ship it. Sorry for all the qestions, also does it cost to ship orders in the post office like do I have to pay them to ship someone’s order, and does it cost at the post office to get the pagaging boxes and the other packaging that is is sorry for all the qestions
Hi! You do not have to use the post office envelopes/boxes unless you are doing USPS flat rate shipping. First class shipping and regular priority mail shipping can be shipped in your packaging purchased from Amazon. I typically decide which to use by the weight and distance it's going. You can go to the post office and stand in line to pay for labels and they will put them on for you. For "Etsy Shipping" you should definitely get a printer because it is is cheaper and quicker to print them at home instead of paying at the counter. Once I print my labels, I have my mail carrier pick them up from my home.
$3.23 OMGG, Thats like $5 Canadian.. :( Canada post charges us $12 to ship within the province and about $16-$18 national (These are small packages too, heavier ones or larger ones can go up to $30). Im honestly envious of the US just for their cheap shipping rates but again I have never had any of my packages even close to being damaged even the box.

Do you use Pirate Ship? You can connect it to Etsy and shipping is usually cheaper than Etsy from my understanding.
I use Etsy shipping on Etsy but I use Shippo otherwise
Hello love your channel. How do you combine shipping if customers purchase more that one item in your etsy store?
Etsy combines them, just make sure you do the correct weight and dimensions of the package on the delivery information page

How does this work.. when a customer has an option for priority mail how does that work for me if I want to do flat rate priority? Does the customer get back the difference if it was less?
Also the WHL what if they purchase more and require a larger envelope or box? You don't know until then. I wouldn't use a large envelope for 1 soap. Is it the WHL after its been placed in its tissue paper or bubble wrap? (Not box or envelope size)

Hi! If I only have a few packages, I take them to the post office. But if I have a lot, I schedule a pickup from my house with USPS

Do you know how to ship with stamps on etsy? I dont see the option on their platform :)
I actually don’t have experience with shipping with stamps but I imagine that you can manually fill out the info on the envelope, ship it with the stamp and click “mark as shipped” or “mark as completed” on Etsy. Hi! I just got my first sale today and i completely forgot to change the shipping to first class not priority in the listing before fulfilling my order can I change it to first class? I really dont want to pay 7.88 dollars for an items that 4 ounces
You can decide to not use that label and create another. You should see an option to refund the original label (it usually takes 1-3 weeks for them the refund it). But if the customer requested and paid for priority, I’d definitely keep it priority

ahhh gotcha. Yeah I would just click refund label and make a new one. I've done that a few times
It cost me 8$ for a shipping lable for 1 lb. Item first class mail ...did I do somthing wrong

Hi sorry if you already answered this but is the shipping fee coming out of our pocket? If so what shipping fee is the customer paying for? I hope that made sense lol
I have my customers pay for shipping but there is a shipping transaction fee of 5% on Etsy which is automatically deducted when the item is purchased. I hope that answers your question

It depends on the destination and weight. And yes, most of my packages are less than 16 oz and I ship them First Class USPS mail through Etsy labels

No problem! Yes, you have to package your product and ship it yourself. You’ll have to set up your shipping info on Etsy then do the individual weights and dimensions for each listing, do the shipping labels and take them to the post office or request a pickup.
