I've finally finished a new vid. I have several in the works right now, but I liked the way this one was coming along more than any of the others. Please ignore some of the minor audio glitches - I did what I could, but WMM is not really conducive to fine-tuning audio. I think this video is one of my favorite videos, if not my favorite video. I hope you all like it, too.
I decided to post the lyrics, also, because I think they are beautiful and fit Thornton very well:

Thank you! I'm very pleased you liked the transition at 2:11. I think the camera work for this movie was done phenomenally, so it made it quite easy for me to put that to good use in this video.

Most of my favorite scenes are squeezed in here, too...of course, if I tried to fit ALL of my favorite scenes into a video I'd basically just be posting the whole miniseries. :)

I'm really glad you mentioned the flashbacks because that portion was a bit of a last-minute inspiration. I'm glad you thought my clips matched well! I always try to fit the story to the song as much as I can. It's one of my pet peeves when video makers fail to pay any heed to the lyrics. I'm glad you also liked how the proposal intertwined. I thought about making a series of videos highlighting specific portions of this story like this. I actually have one for the train scene in the end in the works. We'll see how that pans out. :)

Thanks! I really love this song, too, and I'm glad you especially enjoyed that section. The wonderful thing about this song is that it had so many lovely little unique sections within it (like at 2:11) that I could use many styles of clip choice. It made creating the video that much more fun. :)

As well as the misunderstandings that can occur with inexperience. Many people even then from her background would not have seen a mill or factory & it would have been a shock, the idea that someone could be injured or die there, and of young children working

I recently watched North and South, fell in love with it and the love story, and was so glad to find your videos! This song is one of my obscure favorites and you've worked it in so well with the characters and dialogue. Very excited to see a recent video, I hope you make more! :)

You really made the lyrics flow with the clips and your matching of clips is splendid too. I especially like how you interwove small parts (with sound YAY) from the proposal... Great! @whomels Thank you so much! I try to pay as much attention as possible to the lyrics, and I like adding voice clips that reiterate or enhance their meaning. I agree with you, also, that Thornton has a wonderful voice.

Yeah true. It annoys me a lot too when people won't stick with the lyrics. That would be a good idea: highlighting some scenes that you liked the most. I think you can pull it off, because it worked really well here. The trainscene is so wonderful! And I guess you can do much with it, because there are several parts that show Margaret also sitting in the train. Good luck if you ever decide to make it!
