*nerd voice with braces* Actually game theory proved that dr robotnik is actually faster than sonic blah blah blah mattpat is Einstein blah blah blah science mathematics blah blah blah
+Kawa Senpai True, but nearly everyone knows to check to see which way a Spitfire is looking when it makes its alert sound, so unless nobody's nearby it might be better to drop an EMP nearby to keep it quiet.
Ok I've got a lot here. as an Infiltrater you can hide your cloak sound by timing it with enemy cannon fire. night vision scopes have a "zoom in" time. if you have it equipped you generally should attach a Lazer sight for better hip fire. most starter guns offer a 1x and 2x sight for only 5 certs. you can "q" spot through walls as a non gunner passenger be sure to "q" spot mines on the road and near by enemies for your gunners. crouch walking makes you invisible to recon equipment but not spots. shotguns (and good aim) can beat anything at close range as even with the weakest ones you can kill in one burst if all hit and a few hit the head. the railjack (NC only) can still be led and aimed at moving targets after the trigger has been pulled due to its split second charge up. the vanu engineer is one of the best snipers. simply grab the battle rifle with HVA and a 6x scope. go to a mountain or some place out of the way. drop an ammo pack and enjoy the infinite ammo and 0 bullet drop. I think I should stop now.
Joshino, related to healing/reviving through walls/obstacles you can do the same with infil hacking or engineer repairing. In towers, the infantry terminal on the ground floor can be hacked through the wall. And in bases like Chac Water Purification on Hossin, the shield gen can actually be repaired through the wall, so you're effectively in cover while repairing. Just to name a couple examples.
Tips, 1) grenades at this time can be thrown through walls, just get up right next to It and throw the grenade at the wall and it will go into the next room. 2) snipers can use bushes as active camouflage. 3) railings on top of buildings usually have murder holes in them. Shoot through the railing instead of over it
Tips: Galaxy. Tilting it slightly forwards while pressing thrust up will make it fly faster. With the increased vertical thrust level 3. You will almost go as fast as the speed mod while still having the benefits of vertical thrust which in my view makes it easier to control the Gal in low speed situations. Phoenix: Will gib a person on a Eng turret if you hit the turret while hes on it. Phoenix: Uses flight controls while in the air so use your pitch up, down, left and right buttons to maximize your turning speed while in flight instead of just mouse movements. Excellent for shooting up and down over a wall or similar. Cloaker: If you are using the "pistol only" cloak. Try to keep your cool if someone is closeish. Turning will make you slightly more visible at range and standing still in the open is some times better than hiding close to a rock or similar because people know thats where cloakers usually hide and might shoot there just to check. If people are right next to you however, they might see your shimmer. Spotting: You can edit InputProfile_User.xml spotting (under SpotPlayer) from Q to, for example, Mouse_1 which is the right mouse button. Now you will spot on the release of the ADS (aim down sights) key and can use Q for something else. Spotting only works on the release of the key rather than the press. So thats not different from Q. Doing this you just combine two functions onto one key, which you cant do via the ingame controls. Still a 1-1 action though.
Adding onto #11 If you see an Ally destroying a terminal that you or another ally is hacking or going to hack, kill them, and then tell them in Proximity chat that they don't have to blow everything up. For #18, I feel I can describe each cloak with one word: TR = Sharp NC = Rough VS = Fluid #20 is best exampled at the Canyon between Quartz Ridge and Hvar North Gate. It is practically a Death Trap for Armour if the entire convoy stops for whatever reason, so don't.
Addons: #2 All the more better to look up on top of tall buildings. For example, If you're playing NC and you see a big red pillar of light, that ain't supposed to be there. Switch to Light Assault, sneak your way up, and destroy it. #6 Looking down also helps when, as it at least tries to hide your head. Mind where you're going, though. #10 No longer applicable, Implant Energy is no longer a thing, thank god. #17 Resupplying at a sunderer r terminal does NOT refill your health, so beware.
other tip:besides compensating for recoil, also aim for the head AS much AS possible(especially with sniper rifles and inflitrator scout rifles) When placing a sunderer, place it in the most unobvious spots possible(this will prevent overcrowding of one area with pubs just getting farmed off, and also push the enemy back further with more angles of attack) Eg. I see most sundies are deployed around the hills or behind a rock of a particular base, i move my sundy BEHIND the base(and in enemy territory), risky manuever, but most blueberries don't expect it.
Hey Joshino, thanks for this series of quick tips... Thanks from all ps2 Cannon Fodders !!! I'm a 3years PS2 "veteran" so these are not exactly for me...BUT i also lead an outfit and these short but effective tips applies perfectly to the "i don't know but i don't want to listen" type players. We I3FS call them Cannon Fodders!!! i hope this is a:"TO BE CONTINUED...."
I started watching other videos about Dust 514 which I used to enjoy playing but just found out that it is shutting down soon. So I decided to google free fps games on the PS4 and came across Planetside 2 and after watching a few videos and then some of yours I have decided to pay for the PSN and start playing Planetside 2. I am also subscribing to your channel because your videos are informative, in a clear, understandable, and helpful way. Also I think P2 will be fun because it looks like the type of game that I have always wanted to play. Look forward to more of your videos and getting into the fight myself.
So as many tips as you feel like! I suggested one in yer previous video that wasn't included in this one, so mebbe be used in the next or mebbe you missed it - deploy Sunderer as soon as it's spawned, then undeploy and move off to your way point - 2nd deploy is available MUCH MUCH FASTER than the first, meaning more effective planetman, hiding that cloaky sundy a few secs faster and not getting caught, etc!
my spitfire tip seems to be pretty good ;) another tip , when seeing enemy tankmines you dont need to destroy them just through 1 of your tank mines with theirs and they will usually think it is friendly tank mines and drive over them
Do I understand it right, you want people to put their own tank mines on enemy tank mines instead of destroying them? .... I am sorry, but that's fucking useless
+Just Petrusion well you gotta analyze the situation first. for example if your tr going to and nc and vs fight then it'll be more efficient to place a mine on the enemy mines. besides any competent driver is always looking for mines. if a newer player dies from mines it just teaches them to look for mines. but im just giving tips if you dont like just ignore it. im not here to please everyone.
One thing from me: As a tank always make sure your rear is clear in case you need to make a hasty retreat. Also try not to drive up behind other allied tanks and block their way if they want to retreat. There is nothing worse as a tank driver than suddenly taking a lot of damage and not being able to get away because some idiot decided to plant his tank directly behind you and is refusing to move.
10 tips would be great for you, and for us. Some tips: ( I will go as they come to my mind. Not everything is a tip btw.. :) ) 1. It is always better not to crouch when firing at the opponents at close to mid range. Rather strafe or you can easily got a bullet in you head. 2. Don't forget to change scopes of the same weapon when using specific loadouts. 3 . When playing against a lot of non platoon/squad enemies (you can tell this by concentration of outfit players) apply smoke and have fun by either running into smoke with shotgun :), or flank them. 4. It is always better to try and flank group of enemies. 5. If you get bored, try playing with different class/loadouts vehicles.. etc.. Change your play style. Maybe you'll find it interesting. ( or rather don't be afraid to try out something new) 6. Always say sorry if you kill ally! :) (be respectful to other players) 7. When panic attacks you while firing at multiple enemies :) try to pick your targets rather than shoot what ever you see. (medics first pls :)) 8. If you lonely :) play with real life friend.. (2 or 3 men squad if fun fun, and always better than.. forever dying alone) 9. If you come across harasser race with a tank.. try not to ruin their fun .. ( :( ) That's it. Thank you Josh. Great video as always.
***** OH wait does triage work on flash?? If so I could just go in middle of room with flash, sit on rear seat, still be able to heal and revive people and shoot
It won't imrpove your performance but it's an interesting exploit: If you are using instant action start firing you weapon in the last second. You might here it firing during the loading, and when you land you'll have a few extra rounds in your first mag. Note doing this will sometimes leave your character between a hipfire and ads stat there the optic will be in your face but you will see the hipfire spread, and won't be able to sprint. Also this may not work with lower rate of fire weapons(sorry, nc)
Also, for ESF be sure to spot the aircraft before you engage, this will let you know whether or not you are facing a pilot far better than you or just as good as you :) Yet again Add me puff8 if ye want to learn to fly!
+Commissar tip: when trying to c4 a vehicle, it does not matter where you place the c4. it will do the same damage everywere. So don't waste your efforts trying to get the c4 on the ass of a tank or a sunderer. tip: If you want to c4 a vehicle as a light assault, using drifters is usually the best idea
+Commissar Tip : And if you want to blow up a sunderer, don't use C4, use two tank mine and throw a sticky grenade at them before running : guaranteed destruction except for shielded sundies ;)
Spartanjcb 1 After some testing on the VR training, yes, mineguard does protect from mines even if deployed, though damage is higly inconsistent depending on where you put the mines, varying from 50% to 75% of total health with 5 mines detonated at the same time with a sticky grenade (wich do no damage to the sundy itself), I found that putting them right under the sundy is the most damaging way...
A tip fer later videos be that the Magrider kin still turn in midair, makin' it so ye kin boost off a hill, turn 'round, an' shoot an enemy wit'out exposin' yer back ta'em.
The VS one is easily identifiable (I call it "machine muscle sound"), but the other MAXes can be easy to confuse with each other; the TR has more of a "thud" quality to it, whereas the NC tends to "clank" more.
Pro tip: when you get into a sunderer or other vehicle which is using a kobalt, don't fire at tanks. Don't fire at ESFs. Don't shoot Harrassers or even MAXes unless the driver tells you to. At least 60% of the player base (including some BR100+ guys) don't understand how the Kobalt's mechanics work and I'm tired of having some bozo with proximity chat muted jump in and hold down the trigger. I shouldnt have to squad lock every sunderer I pull.
2-4 shot bursts, headshots only (don't drag down into their body). Don't ever reload, you have 150 rounds per mag. And never, NEVER under any circumstance shoot at a tank. Firing on ESFs and Harrassers only attracts unwanted attention with no real chance of taking them out. Even against a MAX unit you'll get out-damaged pretty quickly, so they should only be engaged if they're close to death or under fire. The top priority targets should be deployable AV turrets, followed by heavies. When you're the Kobalt gunner it's also your job to regularly check third person view and make sure the vehicle isn't getting c4'd or tank mined. It's not difficult IMO to get 25-50 kill streaks playing kobalt conservatively, but when used improperly it's worse than useless and will only serve to get you gibbed by enemy armor.
I actually use the fact that better players listen for call outs against them. I use stalker cloak, equip my factions insta-kill knife, and call out to lure good players into an insta-kill. XD
if you are repairing a deployed sunder and your repair tool overheats go the terminal enter with E and exit with Esc instantly cool you repair tool off. when starting planetside up for the first time after not playing for a day or so visit VR and practise your aim. But be warned DV team in their internal wisdom decided that you should be punished for using VR by it affecting you SPM. Well done DVs well done. -_-
I didn't quite get 24. Did you say that people can tell when you spot someone? So if I'm hidden as infiltrator and I spot people by pressing Q, will they know where I am?
Each faction has distinct voices. So say you are cloaked and spot someone, your character actually says that out loud. People will recognize the voice and know an enemy is nearby.
Even more so, it's not too difficult to tell the direction and more or less - distance to the voice source. To an experienced player you pretty much give out your position with the callout: the closer you are, the more precisely you will be localized. And killed. Remember that.
hey Joshino I been watch you video for a long time now all most a year and I never got a chance to play planetside 2 yet when I first try it out my pc was't strong enough to run it I now got the money to final build on own pc for about 400 dollar I was wonder is this enable to run planetside 2
+MuaricePlayes Minecraft (MuaricePlayesMinecraft) i think so. Do watch linustechtip to see on the budget pc guide. Focus on graphic, ram then cpu. ssd or normal hdisk is up to your budget. I have gtx970, i5-6400 and SSD 240GB with 16GB ram, which is more than enuf to run. you may need to turn of particles and shadow in the graphic options to have better frame-rates and/or competitive style of play.
+KrankyKrapHands hey so can you find a good pc build that under 400 dollar that i can build or buy I don't care what kind I just want to play planetside 2
I can't begin to tell you how often I'll swap to Infiltrator to hack a terminal and get there to find half a dozen people blowing it apart. Heck, one time I was nearly killed by a friendly HA's rocket because he got impatient.
the battle bus is hilarious most days.. a lone lib or a tank or two sees a sundy and think oh yay free certs.. until bursters pop out and heavies with rockets start firing.. too easy lol
Do you know that you can heal a max? yes heal as medic if you are in a vehicle and have triage purchased. on lvl 4 you heal 2% in 5m ray I use it riding a scout flash standing on capture point and healing everybody in 5m radius: )
here's a tip. *TRUST NO ONE!* the amount of times that team mates look me in the face and the proceed to shoot me in the head is infuriating. friendly fire is a bitch.
they basically spent their entire advertising budget on their launch trailers and hiring a comic book writer to make their lore. It worked out at first but they ran out of money and couldn't do much
All precious tips, but once again nobody in these guides ever speak about how to recognize a decent fight from a crappy one and how to look for those. One of the problems new players have is understanding that they are not supposed to try to defend a base alone against an enemy platoon, that following a 96+ friendly zerg down a lane for one hour is boring and they can avoid doing that, and that 96+ vs 96+ is not usually a good fight to be in for an infantry newbie. Somebody should teach these guys how to read the map and find enjoyable fights.
I have done a finding a good fight guide although it is alnost a yearold now. If you go to my channel and acroll down a little there is a guides section:)
Sort your tipps by topic. Not Infantrie tip, then airplane, then a generally, then a class specific one, ... The Amount of tipps doesnt matter. Dont cancel 2 tipps because you want to make a 10 tipps video but you have 12 tips. Sort them to efficiency maybe, the best at last. The small ones first.
+MuaricePlayes Minecraft (MuaricePlayesMinecraft) I'm not very familiar with the CPU tbh, would have thought it would run PS2 but you might not be able to get most of the settings too high without performance problems. Probably most settings mid-high. GL with the build :) Might be worth sharing it here if you want some good feedback on the parts www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/
pls do a best guns video for each of the three teams terrain vanu and the yellow one pls I hv seen ur best finds vid but its from all three and makes it confusing max frm vanu😞 pls if u read this comment pls leave a like or reply so tht I k tht u read ur viwers comments thnx 👍🙂
umm..make tips for each class not in total..will be much easier ;) for example : there is sooooooo much tips to say about infiltrators..btw my favorite class (same as human in cswar3 and rog in wow :D )

as a br 105 I was not aware you could hack spitfire turrets.
+Cameron Cole You can hack them without the EMP but they could kill you if you are on less than full health.
+Cameron Cole There are so many components to this game, I did not know about some myself!
+Joshino move around turrets while hacking and they wont even damage you
+Cameron Cole same

Ok I've got a lot here.

night vision scopes have a "zoom in" time. if you have it equipped you generally should attach a Lazer sight for better hip fire.

the railjack (NC only) can still be led and aimed at moving targets after the trigger has been pulled due to its split second charge up.
the vanu engineer is one of the best snipers. simply grab the battle rifle with HVA and a 6x scope. go to a mountain or some place out of the way. drop an ammo pack and enjoy the infinite ammo and 0 bullet drop.
I think I should stop now.
+Spartanjcb 1 TH-cam marked your post as spam you wrote so muxh. :O Thanks for these though!
+Joshino wow lol I thought it only did that with multiple posts. XD lol
I'll have to try that engi thing... :/ Thx! :p
sorry just commenting yo come back alter and try engi playstyle. never played engi much except for vehicles so I was unaware
+Bob NotRealNameMan I have now tried it. It's ok, but it is so low damage, that you'll have have a really good aim.

Thank you Josh. Great video as always.
As a stalker cloaker.. When someone walks up with a darklight, it is often better to uncloak and kill them and run and hide.
as a medic, you can heal engies that are maning turrets by using your healing aura.
also, medic's triage ability affects MAX units too.
Didn't know about the MAX healing, but you can heal maning engi's with your med tool too XD
+Just Petrusion engies have to jump out of their turret for you to be able to heal them with med tool.aura can heal them while they shoot.
+Just Petrusion yeah, being able to heal max units is the only reason to waste certs on 'triage'
***** OH wait does triage work on flash?? If so I could just go in middle of room with flash, sit on rear seat, still be able to heal and revive people and shoot
CHARGERS!!!!!. i NEVER knew you could make chargers with implants, this changes everything.
Joshino and week are the best man, reviews and everything, just interesting and really good at game, reliable but ps4 different, still really good

Personally I'd say the vanu fart is the most distinctive infiltrator sound, but that's just me.
No, I definitely agree with you there.
Also, for ESF be sure to spot the aircraft before you engage, this will let you know whether or not you are facing a pilot far better than you or just as good as you :)
Yet again Add me puff8 if ye want to learn to fly!
VS cloak sound = wet fart
TR cloak sound = clean sounding
NC cloak sound = Like TR, but with a noticeable "zipping" noise on both cloak and decloak
So many of my tips. I feel honoured!
+Commissar
tip: when trying to c4 a vehicle, it does not matter where you place the c4. it will do the same damage everywere. So don't waste your efforts trying to get the c4 on the ass of a tank or a sunderer.

Spartanjcb 1 I don't know if mineguard is still active when you deploy the sundy, it needs testing, I will try when I have some time :)

4:25 why has it got a guitar riff?
Not only Infiltrator cloaking sounds but also Max footsteps differ between factions.
The VS one is easily identifiable (I call it "machine muscle sound"), but the other MAXes can be easy to confuse with each other; the TR has more of a "thud" quality to it, whereas the NC tends to "clank" more.
Damn me, I really have to learn again how to prefire with the ESF noseguns when I see that thing... -RC :D
#26 Watch out for Wisdomcube in yell chat.
Hi Josh,
Can you upload a video for the new players about how they can use the max unit and when not to use them? Cheers!
What graphics card did you have at this time, and what were your average frames?
what sniper rifle are you using and what scope?
25 quick tips = quips.
+Forced G+ Account genious. I'm definitely going to use that word some time.
Quips are already something else though - witty remarks
Pro tip: when you get into a sunderer or other vehicle which is using a kobalt, don't fire at tanks. Don't fire at ESFs. Don't shoot Harrassers or even MAXes unless the driver tells you to. At least 60% of the player base (including some BR100+ guys) don't understand how the Kobalt's mechanics work and I'm tired of having some bozo with proximity chat muted jump in and hold down the trigger. I shouldnt have to squad lock every sunderer I pull.
+Eureka MarUu How DOES it work?
Also, its a damn 50cal. not a cannon
how do you make the mini map/ chat bigger?
I actually use the fact that better players listen for call outs against them. I use stalker cloak, equip my factions insta-kill knife, and call out to lure good players into an insta-kill. XD
How can u open the vehicle menu to throw out your passengers?
Page down by default
+Batman vs. Bane that was fast :D thanks man :D
+Tom Tiny Yeah. :P You're welcome!
the last one was the best
if you are repairing a deployed sunder and your repair tool overheats go the terminal enter with E and exit with Esc instantly cool you repair tool off.
when starting planetside up for the first time after not playing for a day or so visit VR and practise your aim. But be warned DV team in their internal wisdom decided that you should be punished for using VR by it affecting you SPM. Well done DVs well done. -_-
How do you place a spawn beacon on ps4 I bought but i can't select it
You have to be a squad leader
+Joshino oh thank you so much
I didn't quite get 24.
+KrankyKrapHands hey so can you find a good pc build that under 400 dollar that i can build or buy I don't care what kind I just want to play planetside 2
thats gonna be tuff bro, im at Malaysia, so i would suggest you checkout newegg/amazon if you leave in us/can
I can't begin to tell you how often I'll swap to Infiltrator to hack a terminal and get there to find half a dozen people blowing it apart. Heck, one time I was nearly killed by a friendly HA's rocket because he got impatient.
On PS4 some newer players (who should be on Koltyr)like shooting terminals still after I hacked it.
Benjamin Walker Don't feel too bad; I've seen that happen on PC too.
didnt know about that revive thing
the battle bus is hilarious most days.. a lone lib or a tank or two sees a sundy and think oh yay free certs.. until bursters pop out and heavies with rockets start firing.. too easy lol
You get a like just for saying Robotnik instead of Eggman.
Oh, and the tips were useful too =P
that vehicle terminal one is dependent on where the vehicle terminal is, though
good stuff
You can climb?
Tip:don't be a dick by destroying a friendly deployed Sundy with your own tank mines just so you can deploy your own for XD points :P
Awesome video.didnt know you can heal thru walls.plus no.19 we can't do that in ps4 :/
It should be r1 or up on d-pad but Daybreak hasnt figured out yet.
shit
How bout 10 for the next episode? Maybe explain them in further detail.
I knew them all except the last :P
*The More You Know*
as a br 9, is it possible to 1v1 a br 60+?
Got burt out after 2 and half years amazing game great merroies
when in cqc Crouch after shields are down to throw off the aim
6:15 we can sue fortnite for copying this name for their spawn vehicle
whhyyy :D why did you give away the bacon secret ?! now my bacon will be eaten far more often :(
nice video anyways!
Do you know that you can heal a max? yes heal as medic if you are in a vehicle and have triage purchased.
on lvl 4 you heal 2% in 5m ray
I use it riding a scout flash standing on capture point and healing everybody in 5m radius: )
I think I should probably take a little break from planetside, I have been playing only it for the past month.
do tips 4 ps4
26: You can q spot through walls (feels like a wallhack)
Im ok with long guides they give more details
You are an amazing pilot! I can't even hit a galaxy in an esf -_-
the firts plane i used was a liberator, and some how i managed to turn it backwards on the ground ;_;
here's a tip.
*TRUST NO ONE!*
the amount of times that team mates look me in the face and the proceed to shoot me in the head is infuriating. friendly fire is a bitch.
what about the C4 throwing at MAX's for insta kills ?.
The fart sound is vanu. Now you know all 3.
Eggman runs the fastest, Mario second, and Sonic is the slowest.
"not as fast as sonic but more on Robotniks level" You mean more on the level of the only character Sonic can't run as fast as?
guarantee speedy enough t o"an error occurred" wtf!?!? nice timing
Well after a 1000 hours I already knew all these tips but the one with the spitfire turret , guess i wasted my life a bit :(
These tips just make me realize how bad I am cuz I have no idea what he's talking about
planetside 2 is not perfect but the only 2 things that keep it from growing are 1. The hard first 5 hours and that it is not advertised enough
+Smarackto LP First 5 hours were probably my favorite as I was trolling the fuck out of DaPP XD I later joined them on my VS account.
what is DaPP? I joined it and notice over 3k players in it
Wepth Da Pathy Poopas. They are a major Vanu clan, I don't play anymore but they have some pretty good commanders every now and then.
they basically spent their entire advertising budget on their launch trailers and hiring a comic book writer to make their lore. It worked out at first but they ran out of money and couldn't do much
6:31 every 5 minutes until they fix it
All precious tips, but once again nobody in these guides ever speak about how to recognize a decent fight from a crappy one and how to look for those.
Wtf at tip number 10 I DIDNT KNOW THIS SHIT
i never knew you could hack spitfires.
Omfg was I the only one that knew? And its on PS4.Come on people pay attention! !!
I can do it in 3 easy steps 1, uninstall the game 2, download a different game and 3, enjoy your new game

+Joshino oh ok thank
