    So happy to see you and that you're improving. So sorry you had to go through that was well. My daughter and I would check FCC and see there were still no new videos and we'd pray for you. We've been with you since we did carnivore together and you feel a part of our little family. You have folks in Texas who care about you, Chris! Welcome back and take it easy on yourself. ❤❤❤

    Glad you are back . I admire your resilience! Don’t give up. Sometimes the sheer strength of the mind have gotten people out of hopeless situations (I’m a nurse at a large hospital) I see t all the time
    Sound like your sympathetic nervous system has sustained some damage. I wish you would let us know what the initial triggering activity was so it helps others avoid it .
    I it is my hope you would consider keeping the old channel name because what I have found with all these gut disfunction issues is that they have a big brain /neurological connection. The gut brain connection is a real thing. As Psycologist say : everything psychological is biological. It’s all connected guys . Fixing the guy I believe will fix everything else .
    Good luck on your journey

    • @ChrisGascoigne1
      @ChrisGascoigne1  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for those kind words Cardi, I've always had that attitude towards all of this; sometimes there's no use in complaining as no-one's coming to save you, it's completely up to the individual to strive for a better life.
      I think the sympathetic nervous system was activated big time, and that was why the huge blood pressure spike came and the racing heart - it wouldn't surprise me if many of the symptoms I was left with were a result of just large amounts of adrenaline in the system. I won't share exactly what the event was, but I can assure you no one else will try what I tried, it's far too 'out there' and bizarre.
      I will end up changing the channel name, but I won't change the ethos of the channel itself and the information I'll be presenting will closely link in to what I was discussing before I left youtube last year. Fixing the gut and having optimal digestion is one thing I'll continue to discuss for sure so don't worry about that!

    Sounds very traumatic, glad that you have recovered since then! How is your crohns holding up is that part of your life going well? I think like anxiety also plays a role in ulcerative colitis and crohns like the fear of leaving the household and to reach the toilet in time. We have kind of been on the same path, trying to discover how one can recover from this autoimmune illness, and I have for almost the last 1.5 years been on a plant based diet, and all my symptoms are gone. I know this is highly anecdotal and what works for me might not work for others. I know for my self I think that this calmed my anxiety and the whole stress my body went through being sick, and that this is more in line of the person I want to be and I also think that animal products has been devastating on my microbiome. I now identify as a vegan, and I dont want to participate in any animal cruelty anymore. Will be interesting to follow your new content, and I hope you will have perfect health for the rest of your life. If there is one person that deserves it it is you! Cheers, Chris!

    • @ChrisGascoigne1
      @ChrisGascoigne1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My overall digestion last year was doing far better than it had been over the previous 5 years Henning, so it was a really unfortunate time for this to happen. The UC definitely plays a role in anxiety and wanting to reach a toilet in time in public - sometimes the only way someone could possibly overcome that situation (other than improving symptoms), is to not take themselves so seriously, and if anything happens, hey ho, these things happen in life! It sounds like you're having loads of success eating that way - I'm super stoked for you, you really deserve a good period of rest bite, relaxation and the ability to enjoy yourself. Thank you for your encouraging words, it means a lot!

    • @ChrisGascoigne1
      @ChrisGascoigne1  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven't Sebastjan, I did try magnesium at first to try and calm things down, it just made things a lot worse - my understanding is that the event may have just caused a huge adrenaline surge and the subsequent symptoms were as a result of that. Takin that stance, I believe time should be my best friend in terms of settling things

  • @vejce4

    You have not told us if your ekg was good or what was it. It could be caused due low potassium levels due crohn disease. Muscle twitching and palpitations would explain it

    • @ChrisGascoigne1
      @ChrisGascoigne1  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I only had an ecg and that was apparently fine Pavel. My Potassium level was well within range. Although I agree lots of the symptoms sound like it could be a potassium deficiency, I presume that's highly unlikely seen as the symptoms arose following a sudden stress event; far more probable that stress hormones contributed to this - that's my thoughts

    Dude, I hope you've seen a heart specialist. Sometimes your condition can be cured with a heart-restart, Sometimes it's genetic and requires an implanted pace-maker to control the arrhythmia (which is my case). This can be life threatening, so insist on seeing a heart specialist.
