    Thank you so much, sir! I've been on the hunt for a straightforward explanation about NRI and PIO, but I couldn't find any until stumbling upon your video. I feel incredibly fortunate to have found it here. Now, everything is crystal clear to me!

      Hi do you have someone local in India? I am no expert but it is not going to be easy as it will involve legal and bureaucratic process. I would suggest contacting someone if you have that connect. Meanwhile let me see if I could gather any information

    What will happen to my adhar card & Pan card in India ?

    Great video. Does an OCI have to stay in India for at least 182 days in a year to have an Aadhaar Card?

      Have you recently relinquished citizenship of India. If yes no need. Your existing Aadhar holds good

    I am NRI and have NRE & NRO account. We have had shares in the 1980s but can not access them because we can not get a demat. We can't get an OCI because my parents no longer have their passports. Any Idea...?

      Hi have you considered reaching out to registrar of the companies whose shares you hold I am sure they must have got many such concern in past. You can check their details from this website www.nseindia.com/

    • @canadatriedandtestedoriginal
      @canadatriedandtestedoriginal  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      enter the name of share you hold and you can check the company directory from the left had side and reach them to enquire. They might even tell you how to get DEMAT done. Without OCI its going to be a challenge for sure. Can you check with consulate near you on what alternate document can be given in absence of India passport to get OCI? I will try finding answer to this and will post here.

    An OCI living and working in India for long cannot open savings account? Only NRO account is allowed?

    If an NRI changes his/her current status to OCI and is already holding a NRE/NRO/FCNR and a Demat account, do they still continue to hold these accounts as an OCI or need to make any changes to these accounts? Is there any additional requirements or any KYCs they need to comply with ? Appreciate your thoughts. Thanks

      Hi I can speak in our case. I converted my account to NRO/NRE as NRI and when citizenship changed during my visit provided my document which were asked by bank and signed few forms then and there. Have had no issues so far. You may check once with the bank relationship manager if you have one.

      You are OCI. PIO has been discontinued. If you don't have OCI then you are foreign national. Hope this helps.
