The best safety video I ever seen! For me, always will be a pleasure to watch safety demonstrations, instructions. They is for our safety, for our lives...wonderful!
Beautiful video with nice dreamy muisc! I like the small attention-catching details like the luggage falling out of the overhead compartment, or the child trying to read the safety card upside down ;-)
No glitz or glamor or it being overly cheesy, but it's just an honest, simple, personal, somewhat intimate and down to earth safety demo that really helps you relax and be informed. It brings me fond memories of going to Sweden by myself for the first time to reconnect with my Swedish heritage (aka visiting relatives) and shedding a slight tear of joy as my A330 taxied towards the runway in Dulles.
And yep I flew on A340 on August 16th! and fortunatly I flew in first class( business for SAS) and it was so comfortable!!And the food was so good!! And the hostess was really really nice!!
Super! I loved it so much! How I wish I could get on board a Scandinavian flight, all I get is just Philippine Airlines benefiting from Mabuhay Miles, Mabuhay Rewards, and so on
@mashdaniel If something goes wrong during take off or landing, or if there's severe turbulence during the flight, it's possible for people to fly out of their seats and get injured. This HAS happened.
Uhm, there had been several accidents where the accident reports stated that the staff successfully got the passengers out by relaying these procedures.
LOL!!!! Last time I flew with SAS,the staff were rude and stressed. As a Norwegian man,I thought they would be polite. Since Norwegian Air Shuttle started,SAS is not my kind of choice. PS: Got a huge surprise when flying to Frankfurt with Lufthansa!!!!! Everything onboard is free and the staff are VERY polite.
I think that the version shown on an A321 has a slightly different text at the beginning, something like, "Modern travellers are busy people. Nobody understands it better than Scandinavian Airlines...", but perhaps someone will correct me.
Those are only used for flights to Asia and North America Copenhagen: Chicago O'Hare Newark New Delhi (probably ended already?) Seattle (ending soon) Washington Dulles Stockholm: Bangkok (didn't they end this already though?) Beijing (ending soon?) Chicago Newark
I love SAS!! Maybe I'm going to fly on a A340 of SAS this august from Copenhagen to Chicago! I have also an audio recording on a A321 flying from and to Milan/Malpensa!
This brings back memories from my last SK flight to Chicago.. Great video, music, capturing the magic of flying which with SAS is fantastic =)And isn't that Joanna Lumley talking?
A shorter version with subtitles in a Scandinavian language (and sometimes also Chinese, Japanese, etc., depending on the destination) is played after this video.
Well, you have no idea: they withdrew Dashes, because the planes were not up to SAS safety standards. It's very problematic aircraft (the 400-series), with the highest % of emergency landings at Copenhagen airport. A lot of other carriers had problems with landing gears in Dashes, including Lufthansa/Augsburg Airways and Austrian, their Dashes took emergency landings, too.
SAs used to be great, now its average. And the fact that you have to pay for.. ANYTHING is just pathetic. It creates a trafficjam in the aisles during flights. And their old crappy MD80's GET RID OF THEM. You might get more passengers that way, and reduce fuel expenses.

The background music is so wonderfully soothing..
This is an extraordinary video of SAS this Airbus A320 must have a safety screen like SWISS

I remember watching this safety video back in 2009-10.

Sas is world 29st safety airline. 1st is Qantas, 2nd is Finnair and 3rd is Cathay pasific. Qantas, Finnair and Cathay Pasific join Oneworld alliance.
My thought exactly... Did sound like her. Scandinavian Airlines are pioneers, I sincerely hope they retrieve the top spot in Northern Europe.
We have met this air hostess and she is just as nice and goodlooking in real life!!! SAS forever - if she's still there...

I think this is the same voice as on Southern Rail announcements.
SAS Norway is the most on time airline in Europe this month, for the second time

Is there anyone has the SAS safety video that is in Norwegian/Swedish? Please. Takk.

I would guess A330 or A340, it's their long route airplanes
it's nothing wrong with the MD 80's, in fact, at least at SAS i prefer them cuz they have more leg room
Maybe just on its long-haul routes...
i just know they have a bat safety
Icelandair is the best but it just my hehe...
