Ive been watching this channel for quite a while, especially with the Brutally Honest reviews of Singapore Airlines flights. With SAS leaving Star Alliance and joining SkyTeam, I feel that one of the key member have left as SAS was among the 5 founding airlines for Star Alliance when it was formed in 1997
@@Kiraasuka12590 Not really a shock. They have been struggling for years and was in play with the big 3 network carries in Europe for at least the last 5 years on who may buy them.
Flew this same route going the other way this past summer in regular Economy. Food was good, crew was friendly, seats were comfy. Only complaint was that the IFE had a rather limited selection of movies. Still a Great flight! Thanks for reviewing it SA!
Can I just say I've been watching your channel for more than 4 or 3 years I think and this is just nostalgia hearing the iconic intro song 0:12. Love your work keep it going!
I haven't travelled for many years due to health issues. I used to fly SAS everywhere due to family working for the company, and your videos capture the general atmosphere and experience of flying and travelling so well. I feel like I'm sitting in your seat, the sounds and visual almost gives me that slight pressure in my ear drums when we descend. Thanks for the video and I wish the best for SAS with SkyTeam.
Great report! I remember taking this same flight last year in economy and it was one of the best flights I have experienced. The meal was one of the bests I have had on a flight.
Flying on so many different airlines, on so many different aircrafts to so many different countries must be a breeze to you guys. You guys have the best job in the world. Pls, you all be safe at all times. God bless. 🌎 🙌 👏 👌😊
Hi Simply Aviation, i really love your channel. Although I don’t fly often, your videos makes me feel like im on a plane. Congrats for these awesome videos mate 🎉
One of my favourite airtravel channel is SIMPLY AVIATION.... superb account and very detailed..nothing gets missed.. the sights and sounds of airtravel is so refreshing to hear....thanks for the great vlog and keep it rocking.
Can't imagine saying this. But the catering seems on par with or even better than that of SQ.... also quite sad that SAS is going to leave star alliance...
I flew premium economy on SAS from San Francisco to Copenhagen. The seat was comfortable and the inflight service was very good. However the aircraft didn’t have individual vents and the A/C was not working properly. It was very warm inside the aircraft😢
I wish the maps at the start of the vid were kept orientated north when the plane travels between airports. Otherwise, great vids as usual! I will thumbs up too
@Simply Aviation, bro I would like to ask you that what causes ear pain when on a flight? I sat many airlines planes but 1 particular Company plane I sat years before, my ear & the drum starts pain throughout the flight, but other plane i sat doesn't have such thing ear pain ya! So if my ear pain again on a flight, do I need to wear ear plug or what! Thanks! 🤔😒🛫
do you have an infection? sinus issues or a cold? that’s pressure on your inner ear from the altitude and cabin pressure. be careful, as it could rupture.
SAS may not have the fanciest stuff on the flight market. But what they do have is a great accident record with only 4 fatal accidents since its founding in 1946, 2 of which being the fault SAS pilots basically flying the plane into the ground. The other accidents was an in-air collision caused by the British Royal Airforce and the other was a ground collision. SAS has a total of 214 fatalities where they were involved. They also only have 1 fatal accident since 1969. The last fatal accident was at Linate Airport, Italy, in 2001 where 118 people died. 110 on the SAS MD87, 4 on the Cessna Citation CJ2, and 4 on the ground in the baggage handling terminal, as well as 4 injured. The CC CJ2 did a runway incursion without being cleared to cross the runway. The MD87 was about to take off and hit the CJ2 mid-rotation. The pilots of the MD87 ultimately ended up saving potentially hundreds of people. By engaging port side engine's reverse thrusters, this not only slowed the plane down, but also steered it to the left, avoiding collision with the passenger terminal and instead crashing into the baggage handling terminal. This is still the 2nd most fatal ground collision ever. It's also, still, the biggest aviation disaster ever in Italy.
Moving to Skyteam will largely deflate the case for SK flying ARN-ORD. It makes sense now as United is in Star Alliance. AY enhancing their ARN offerings by flying ARN-ORD? Oneworld partner American has a large hub there.
I flew SAS from LAX to CPH in 2021 and WATER costed $4, which pissed me off. Charging for water on some domestic budget airline is one thing, but on a full service long haul flight!? Seriously? It wasn't even a full size bottle of water either, but one of those short stubby ones. I was thirsty as hell but I still refused to pay for the water out of protest.
Pssst: that meal service is EXACTLY the same they get in Monkey Class, you know. Presentation on china with beverages i real glasses help a lot though...
Unfortunately I can’t do that yet, because Brutally Honest episodes are significantly more work than Tripreports. A Tripreport takes 2-5 hours of work, while a Brutally Honest episode is easily 15 hours or more. Therefore, it is simply not possible for us to narrate all videos. I completely agree that it would be nice. I wish I could do it. But for now, I don't see how. I’m sorry about that.
I actually prefer the “regular” videos. Sometimes, it’s nice to not hear a narrated video and simply hear the background sounds. It’s almost ASMR aviation that way.
Intro & Maps😅Wow, airplane is wrong ass I'm sorry owned buy SAS, Latam or AirFrance?😊Cargo Xpress need😢 with @SimplyAviation How are you iPhone, GoPro🙏?!?
The second mealservice looked really special! 👌🏻

Very true😢😢...
SAS wasn't really a key member of Star.
I flew both biz and pre eco with SAS last year on their 359 and 330. Pretty solid. Shock to hear SAS is leaving SA.

now THATS a prelanding mealservice... tired of the pizzarolls and stuff... this looks great!
Felix. Thank you for a great video. It’s always a treat to see your experiences.
Excellent trip report as always Felix!😸
Another great video! And that SAS flight was phenomenal. Excellent meals!
Holy cow another trip report keep up the great work guys

Well, when you have content from a year ago, that is now outdated, why not upload it.

Nice flight review, their premium economy inflight service looks good.
Good to see felix back :)
That salmon looked really good considering it was on a plane. It looked fresh as heck.
That looks like some amazing food for an airline!
SAS is one of the best airlines for transatlantic flights.
i really enjoy these morning uploads to wake up to
Best Premium Economy Class is not Air France, sure !!! Great Job SAS
But it is now, since SAS is owned by AirFrance 😂

Amazing report! Very good work! 🌎
It would be cool to see you try this product on the narrow body A321LR, as the seats are configured in a 2+2 for the premium product.
Nice New Premium Economy Class😎

Great video. 13:05 Which app are you using to track flights lining up to land?
The app is FlightRadar24

i miss those days when Air India had a direct flight from stockholm to delhi

Do they do Premium Economy to Bangkok ?

Fun fact some airports around the world do operate flights to America it depends on which one

How much money does this guy have that he travels THIS often and on premium economy aswell?
smoked salmon?,bro eating in europe economy better than USA business class
Please tell me the opening BGM. very impressive.
Hopefully, Westjet joins Skyteam. They seem to be a perfect fit considering that most of their airline partnerships are from the alliance.
This seat is the definition of ”wing view” 😅
here before 30 seconds!

SAS will move to SkyTeam soon.

It’ star aliance not sky team
you need to follow the news. If the plans go through SAS will leave Star Alliance for SkyTeam, most likely during the coming years
SAS joins Skyteam SEP1

SAS, you’re making a BIG mistake by leaving Star Alliance

SAS will switch to SkyTeam on September 1st, 2024.
