Totally work on 1.17 I don't understand others comments which say the system is broken, personally I succeeded the first time, it's very well explained thank you! (i preferd the system with the cauldrons in creative but with the barrels on survival)
Hey Awesome video! 😃 I've got to admit though, I had no idea what I was making until I got to the end and hit the button to cycle the machine from 0 to 1 and it suddenly dawned on me that it's a big ol' piston feed-tape! 😅 (I can be slow in seeing things sometimes. Lol!). Again, I really like the cleverness in how this works! Thank you for sharing! 👍
This tutorial was really good. Nothing too fast, you speak clear etc I could go on but I think you get my point :) Just for clarification: I can put as many of these next to each other as I want, correct?
Mighty MeerHut I have another question: how fast can the circuit be activated? I am trying to set up a system that counts the number of drops from an item farm by detecting whenever a hopper receives an item. So I would activate the system twice per second. Is that too fast for this redstone counter?
Can you count down with it? I was looking for an automatic countdown 7-segment display. I guess I'll continue looking, unless you plan on making a video on that. Thanks tho!
@@ErTnEc No, I wasn't able to find anything that would work unfortunately. :/ There were a couple other tutorials I tried that would potentially give me what I wanted, but they didn't work (I'm assuming because of future updates, or my own mistake in making them). I have since moved on from this project a while ago, but I hope you and others are able to find something that works!
Hello me hear it's ok if you don't know how it works but can you make a vidio on how this works please I just like to know how stuff works so I can work on it and improve it
Hi, this is really cool! Do you think we could make one that counts from 1 to 100? With a manual reset? i want to count mobs in my grinder. i made a computer but it doesn't operate a segmented display and is huge lol. can you help?
Replace the monostable circuit with like a dropper hopper combo with items from all redstone output level groups would be a start. Would have to do on all three though.
@@MightyMeerHut yeah, my idea was a dispenser with 6 shulker boxes and a comparator but not sure how turn that into the correlating number on the lamps. Will have a go tonight!
Hey, I haven't finished the video yet but it looks like you'll have to press the button every time you want to increase the number, is there theoretically any way to make this automatic? Thank you for the tutorial btw :]
Hey! So I built and connected all of them there is one problem though: When the first button is pushed, all the others also activate. Any reason why this might happen?
Hi just built the thing and the number come out weird but I have the exact amount of shovels and I built it block for block but the numbers look weird. Any fix?
I have tried to build this 3 times now and every time it breaks after one due to a barrel getting pushed into a piece of red stone dust near the observer, any idea on how to fix it?
But HOW does this actually work? I really wish you would have included the actual coding in the video with some explanations. Why does each barrel need to have the number of items it does? How does this whole machine translate into actual numbers on the display? I don't just want to recreate it, I want to understand it. @Mighty MeerHut
Lol well that would have made the video way too long. Essentially as the barrels rotate, the associated comparator that it lines up with will read different signal states based off of how many items are inside or if it's the block in front of a barrel, or if its glass. All different signal strengths feeding the comparator to either light the lamp or not. Mumbo Jumbo has this in a video expaining comparators
I do not, at the moment. This design was trying its best to be as small as possible. A reset system would make it a lot bigger lol. Maybe in the future.
I can but I'd need to know like what you were using it for, like what kind of input system you had in mind. An input for counting how many time someone tripped a trip wire hook would be wildly different than say counting items placed in a barrel or chest.
Yeah I'll look at how to do that, off the top of my head the chest goes to a hopper with a comparator that would take the signal to the counter. Only hang up would be to slow it down cause the system has to actuate every time and hoppers would be too fast. I'll work on it!
This is so useful to me because I’ve been building a Redstone computer but I need a very specific size display screen that can make a two digit number
Totally work on 1.17 I don't understand others comments which say the system is broken, personally I succeeded the first time, it's very well explained thank you! (i preferd the system with the cauldrons in creative but with the barrels on survival)
Loved It!
Man, im a big fan of redstone which made me stuck playing minecraft. I just wish i could master redstone and be as smart like you. Deserve a sub!
I watched and copied like 10 tutorials and only this one worked. Ty very much
Thank you so much, I've been looking for something like this, you are so underrated, hope you continue what you do and get to 1 mil!😄
#roadto1M lol lofty goal, we'll see
*Black Panther voice* “Get this man a thousand subs”
Hopefully soon lol
thank you so much! I could not find a seven segment display that worked in my version
I’ve looked for one of these for like, a month and u got the first working one my guy, thanks a bunch!
No problem

I can confirm this works on Bedrock version 1.19.83
Edit: I am now subscribed
Thanks bro it still works, I made it automatic and I was also able to connect more to it ❤
amazing video
THANK YOU FOR THE AMOUNTS AT THE BEGINNING!!!
I would say that im alright at redstone however I still dont understand counters thanks so much!
Thanks works great!
Finally a working display! Awesome video! Question: Can the system work in reverse and how? (Also, I am the 100th person to like the video)
This tutorial was really good. Nothing too fast, you speak clear etc
I could go on but I think you get my point :)
Just for clarification: I can put as many of these next to each other as I want, correct?
You sure can, only thing holding you back is render distance
Mighty MeerHut thanks for the quick response! :)

I am trying to set up a system that counts the number of drops from an item farm by detecting whenever a hopper receives an item. So I would activate the system twice per second. That would be too fast because this system is limited to the speed of the pistons moving
This one is way more simpler and has audio good job
I built it but I don’t get the redstone. A break down would be awesome
Saw this straight after your old design.
I’ve changed the challenge from 999 to 999999 😂
rofl awesome!!
Thank you so much for making this.
Can you count down with it? I was looking for an automatic countdown 7-segment display. I guess I'll continue looking, unless you plan on making a video on that. Thanks tho!
Same, looking for one which will both count up and down, did you manage to find anything suitable?
@@ErTnEc No, I wasn't able to find anything that would work unfortunately. :/ There were a couple other tutorials I tried that would potentially give me what I wanted, but they didn't work (I'm assuming because of future updates, or my own mistake in making them). Great video, works on bedrock 1.19.1
Hello me hear it's ok if you don't know how it works but can you make a vidio on how this works please I just like to know how stuff works so I can work on it and improve it
ahh yes, MineCraft, BedRock, and RedStone
A tip, put subtitles of multiple languages for other people from other places to understand because your Brazilian and do not understand English
Je veux bien le Français aussi avec ! :D
I had a slight problem, in the current version, 1.16.2, it will change a number too far ahead and will say 1012 when it should say 0012 how do i fix?
I've noticed that can happen randomly due to lag
Ok thx
Hi, this is really cool! Do you think we could make one that counts from 1 to 100? With a manual reset? i want to count mobs in my grinder. i made a computer but it doesn't operate a segmented display and is huge lol. can you help?
Anyway you think this could be adapted to be six numbers randomised, like a dice. Will have to mess around with it to try.
Replace the monostable circuit with like a dropper hopper combo with items from all redstone output level groups would be a start. Would have to do on all three though.

Yes you could attach this to almost any input you want! Glaf you liked it
Noice!

Nevermind. I fixed it.

Same

That's odd, join the discord send pics
Could you make it a countdown
I think you could, if you play with the number of spoons in the barrels enough. Good question!
But HOW does this actually work? I really wish you would have included the actual coding in the video with some explanations. Why does each barrel need to have the number of items it does? Is it possible to create a button to reset directly to zero from whatever number the display is on?
How do you automatically reset the #s
It works besides 1 and i tried to fix it but i couldn't
Pitbull ordi Irvin Utah grevi hank fo
Do u have any design with a reset system?
I do not, at the moment. This design was trying its best to be as small as possible. A reset system would make it a lot bigger lol. Maybe in the future.
Redstone comes off of pistons every time I activate
I tried but it didn't work in 1.16.201 and the display is not showing out how can I fix that?
you just have to double check everything, it's still working in my test world, no beta no java
@@MightyMeerHut It even works in 1.18
I didn’t watch the whole video yet but I want to ask can I connect it so there’s more than 1 digit?
yes!!! Certainly can and yes I go over it in the vid so you don't have to worry!
Mighty MeerHut Oh ok
I am sorry but can we put 4 in row to display to 0-9999
If you're still planning on doing this yeah it works
should
and just repeat the same circuit?
Yup!
@@MightyMeerHut thanks i'm not very good at redstone you helped me a lot
Same
just curious if i put 8 in a row will it count up to 99999999?
rofl should
@@MightyMeerHut k I am sold :)
Hey! How can I make it go backwards? Do I just build the tutorial backwards?
bru
does this work for ps4?
It absolutely should, but I don't have one to try and test it lol
@@MightyMeerHut it works perfectly man thank you
@@harrymcdougall7923 awesome! Glad to hear it! Bout to add my 4th module of it over on BrokeRock for my 1k!

Can u make a input system for this machine
There are a lot of different inputs that you could apply to this, just depends on which one you want.

are you on bedrock or java
don't work
Probably the new update
i just wasted an hour of my life doing the other one. please just delete that video. Waste of time. This is clearly better anyway
