🕉😀 When You Believe You're Unworthy - Mooji

  • Advaita Vedanta Master Mooji shows that our self-doubt and sense of unworthiness can only exist if we identify with this body-mind-mechanism. The only way out of this misery is moving towards and become our true Nature, which is Beingness.

Mooji (born Anthony Paul Moo-Young) is a spiritual teacher / nonduality teacher, originally from Jamaica. Mooji is a disciple of the renowned Advaita master Papaji, who himself was a devotee of the advaita and non-dual master Ramana Maharshi. Mooji shares self-inquiry, directing his students to the non-dual Self by encouraging them to question who or what they are at the deepest level. One well known exercise is to identify the natural feeling 'I am' or 'I exist' and staying with this for 5 to 7 minutes at a time. Another is to come to the recognition that everything (thoughts, emotions, sensations) can be perceived, and then inquiring, "Can the perceiver itself be perceived?

We all attract the persons and situations to learn to (finally) take that power back, which is actually a gift in itself. Being the witness of your true self also helps to see the 'enemy' without letting it take over.
By mindful watching you'll recognize not only the enemy out there but also this amazing peaceful force inside you - that is your true nature which is already pure love and light - timeless, endless, formless. It doesn't need anything extra.
This way, the 'enemies' will step-by-step retreat and inspiration/passion for life kicks in again.

I wish I'd heard this when I was a child... This conditional "only IF you become this or do that you'd be worthy or lovable to us" message was at the very heart of my years growing up... It describes not only my parents' attitude but the virulent mindset that ultimately ran the program of all interactions within my whole family.
As usual, Mooji's understanding and clarity on the subject allows him to convey that which could be complex for the listener into a powerful message of deliverance.

I can verily relate to what you are saying. Growing up I was only accepted for what I could 'do' to meet my parents expectations or demands. They were emotionally unavailable. I am still struggling with an actual sense of self worth beyond what I can 'do' or perform & I am past my mid 30s

  • @DanielRamBeats

Thankfully I am able to realize I am the awareness in which this whole experience runs. My identity has always felt that it was not good enough, not attractive enough, not successful enough... this narrative runs constantly on my personhood. When relationships come, my identity suffers when they end as all desires end eventually... but to a burning degree... this video has taught me that I cannot stay with my identity because it will always suffer now... I have to remain vigilance and remain in the realization of my awareness that I can witness this happen and to dispel the stories and ideas and beliefs I tel myself because it’s told to a fictitious entity that is my identity... it would have been nice to heal my identity but I realize you cannot heal what Is not yours... and my identity isn’t mine and isn’t me... so there is no healing I can do just compassion...

Calv Candie after almost about a year from watching this, I can tell you that as you become more mindful of your awareness and less focused on your self concept you can heal many of the issues you have yourself by way of diminishing the ego (self concept). The more you realize your undefined true self the less your own thoughts have a place to land and so you can prevent many of the negative self talks you have.

*Love this! I am THAT I am.*
There are so many more people who could potentially love us...if we only let go of the ones who don't.
The subconscious mind is like a computer; it remembers things we want to remember & things we don't. Even when we are *consciously aware* it can still be upsetting to remember harsh or harmful things said & done to us & still be afraid of making new connections because of past 'bad' experiences.
    *Only love can heal pain.*
*Stay as Awareness, feel the peace & love already here.* This helps immensely.
With many thanks to the Universe, Mooji, the woman in the video & the Uploader of this Video.
*Much love and many blessings to all ❤🙏*

Ah, I was falling for this trick of the mind whole heartedly. My mind makes me look at the life I lived up until now and says there's no way I've struggled enough, overcame enough challenges, done enough good deeds to be worthy of awakening. Its so tricky cuz its so closely connected to my heart. That feeling that I can't be happy because other people are sad, its really strong in me and feels like a spiritual obligation, like I need to suffer more to be in solidarity with my fellow beings.
