    best dyna ever made!! and 4 magazines in the u.s.a said the dyna fatbob is the best handling Harley ever made!!

    The DYNA, the last of the old school Harley Davidson.

    • @motobob
      @motobob  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey hootiekai - I’m genuinely interested so maybe you can help me out. But why were some people so upset about the end of the dyna when the soft tails were launched?

    • @hootiekai
      @hootiekai 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello MOTOBOB. Of course i cannot speak for others but for me i suspect folks were/are emotional about the change because of a change to tradition. DYNA is its own legacy with air cooled engines like the DYNA's forefathers, the old school swing arm with external rear shocks on each side like all the motorcycles i had when i was a kid (Now 60). If Harley was going to do away with the DYNA legacy they should not have used the model FatBob on a softail machine. I understand HD is in business and must attract younger new buyers to stay in business and this FatBob new model is not emotional to this new generation, its just us older folks I suspect who are. I just tell folks i have a REAL FATBOB Ö¿Ö Just My Humble Opinion.

      I get what you’re saying. Loved the fatbob when I tested it - would be interested to compare it to the softtail version though.

    Some people knock Harleys but I LOVE them!

      Me too Matt - after testing a couple of them my appreciation has definitely increased! Roadster probably still my favourite.

      +Harley Dave cheers Dave! Do you run the stock pipes on yours? Wish I'd heard it with some aftermarket pipes...

    I imagine you get depressed after getting back on your er6. Great review - keep em coming!

    • @motobob
      @motobob  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Abdi Osman hmmmm kindof. The er6 is much faster round corners and between traffic when you need to filter so it's always interesting to get straight back on it and see how it feels. The Fat Bob standard exhaust was pretty lame so it was nice to get back on something loud! 🤘

      +BigBadWolfMoto haha 🔮🔮🔮🔮 they're pretty fun but I can't see myself commuting into central London on a fat bob. They sound awesome tho! Just wish the demo bike I rode had better (louder) pipes

    I've got a Harley and a Enfield I hate riding super smooth bikes obviously 😂😎🏍its all character! Ride safe Tomas.

    • @motobob
      @motobob  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can totally see why Tomas. Loud rumbly bikes are the best :D
      Loved riding the Enfields in India and Nepal - almost made me want one!

    You're driving on the wrong side of the road you maniac! :) Thanks for the review, I love the look of this bike. Best looking Harley aside from the softail slim in my opinion.

      +AndyLee103 just googled it. Looks awesome. Although the Harley parts are crazy expensive, seems like you can pick up eBay versions for a reasonable price

    The only complaints I have with mine are the loud gear shifts and poor leaning ability. My pegs are getting worn down from dragging em lol. Gotta use your heels as a gauge

    • @motobob
      @motobob  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I tested the softtail fat bob last week and I think it leans a little better. Was a nice bike indeed!

    How tall are you and how did you find the forward controls?

    • @motobob
      @motobob  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Maxwell Actual I'm about 5 foot 9 and the bars were ok but the pegs were a bit of a stretch. Could probably get used to it, but I think the roadster was an easier ride for me

    • @motobob
      @motobob  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks David - I'm afraid my knowledge of Harleys is still developing so not great at picking up the nuances. Definitely a beast of a bike - would love to hear it with the screaming eagle pipes...

  • @walcott423
    @walcott423 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    i own one of these. i found the stock pegs got uncomfortable on long rides or at high speeds for extended times so i got some mini floorboards and it solved the problem instantly. and you will probably want an aftermarket seat if you are going to ride 2 up. the passenger seat is fairly worthless from what ive been told by the people who have tried it out.

    • @motobob
      @motobob  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good tip on the floorboards - cheers!

      For sure! Don't think I could handle the Fat Bob in town, but the 1200 Roadster is one of my favourite bikes I've ridden!

      MOTOBOB I ride my 2013 everywhere. Town - rural - to work every day as well. Pillion my wife on weekend rides with a group. Absolutely love this bike. The more you ride it the nimbler it becomes. Lanesplitting regularly.
      Have V&H 2 into 2 Big Radius and it sounds wicked.
      Great review. The only thing I can say now is - GET ONE!!
      If you enjoyed the initial ride I can tell you it only gets better.

    • @motobob
      @motobob  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I bet that V&H sounds crazy! It's such a beast of an engine and totally stifled by the stock silencer, as with pretty much all bikes.

    • @samuraidarryl
      @samuraidarryl 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      My wife (pillion) and I went for a local blast with another couple (again his wife pillion) this weekend gone. Recently purchased a 2010 Wide Glide 96cube. Has SE slip-ons and was throaty but the V & H 2 into 2 killed it. Freakin awesome ride - feed / beers / sunshine / laughs. Awesome noise and ride but the full system was a killer in comparison. Just grab a fatty as soon as you can.

    Every so often, comen sense eludes me, and I have a test ride on a Harley, then I remembered why I could never own one, I love a bike with caricture but it Still has to handle well, and not give me pins and needles in my hands and feet after 30 minutes! Still overpriced as we'll. Only one reason to buy a Harley Brand snobbery! Pretty much every manufacturer has a better cruiser , in my opinion.

    • @motobob
      @motobob  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      One factor that has me is they sound pretty awesome! And the styling of the sportsters in particular looks great to me. But riding them isn’t for everyone I guess! What do you ride Ray?
