When I was playing this in one of my recent playthrough the limo went inside the monument and stayed there for the whole till I was ordered to destroy it Lol the bug happened
I have tried that before, while it may stop the president's limo for a while, your cryocopter (or apollos) will get shot down by enemy apollo fighters and your destroyed air units will fall out of the sky and crash onto the president, killing him and you will fail the mission. So it is risky to use this strategy.
@RedAlert2Havoc I always try to take out the power plants and the air base so the enemy defences are powered down and they can't spawn anymore fighters to shoot down the cryocopters
Don't bother building a freaking SAM net. No matter how many there are not even one Apollo will get shot down, not even on easy. And you leave your base vulnerable while you were wasting time.

I find myself wondering why Ackerman didn't use this super weapon when the war with the soviets was still hot....then again he's apparently an empire robot....but also isn't?
I didn't use any camera mods for this game, this is the default view on my PC at 1080p resolution (videos are rendered to 720p). But if your game camera is over a cliff or higher ground in game, it tends to zooms out a little more, I believe. There is however a game camera bug that I have encountered sometimes only on some skirmish games where the camera can be zoom out all the way until the game map is not longer being rendered, as well as able to zoom all the way in till the camera can go through units and buildings!
@LANDEN TEEL - STUDENT I guess the Soviets could use their Vacuum Imploder if it has the range or maybe sent Kirovs. They might be able to use their iron curtain to protect their buildings if they hear that the weapon has been fired. If they are truly desperate, they might risk using their time machine again.
YOUR ENGINEER HAS ALREADY LANDED PUT HIM INTO THE HEAD BUILDING ALREADY WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR YOU'RE LITERALLY IDLING REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE ok I'm calm now. but seriously, the delay between paradropping an engineer and actually capturing the head buildings is ungodly long and has cost your ally a whole lot of troops
I delay the capturing is to give me more time before he activates/ drives to the next area. If the president see that you have already captured a building before he reaches there, he will drive off to the next area instead of waiting before he starts to activate the tower. So my engineers only capture when I have no more spare time and much capture the buildings when the president starts the activation.
The Allies don't know of the word "excessive" you speak of Exactly why they made the Century Bombers literal carpet bombers, suited for lower altitudes
You can freeze the president limo with cryocopters, his limo will freeze and stop in its tracks. However I have tried this before and the Allies will sent in apollo fighters to take down your cryocopters. Your cryocopters will get shot down and may crash into the limo, destroying it and you will failed the mission. You might be able to buy yourself some time by freezing the limo, but you run the risk of losing the mission instantly if the limo gets destroyed (which it is very vulnerable due to it being frozen).

My strategy was to have base defences, while building up an airforce. I use the bomber planes to sneak by the side of the enemy base and target their power plants, then their construction buildings. I have a few anti-air planes also to protect them. I airdrop multiple engineers to the various buildings that will activate the Mount Rushmore laser but I don't sent them engineers into the buildings until they get activated by the limo, this will give you the extra time to complete this mission. This way the limo will try to activate each building instead of skipping buildings you have already captured with the engineers. I have tried to freeze the limo with cryocopters before, but I don't recommend it, as the enemy will sent their anti-air planes to shoot down your cryocopters and they might crash into the limo and destroy it, causing you to instantly fail the mission. However if you managed to prevent them from building any anti-air planes and there are none on the map, you might be able to safely freeze the limo to give yourself unlimited time. Once you have taken down their power plants, construction yard and other production buildings with your planes, you can charge their base with a ground army or continue using your airplanes if you have time.
