If we finally got a tinker class, we have to be able to customize our turret, mech suit or drones, whatever we can use, i wanna be able to customize it!

Could have the shield and shoulder piece just hang on the side of the tank. like viking ship have shields on their sides. The tank spec could just be the gnome or goblin driving in a literal tank or just a shredder, then the other spec just have this as dmg absorb CD instead of being permanent.
I would absolutely love to have the Tinker coming, but honestly there is no way they would add it in a .5 patch. A new class is a huge selling point in each expansion, and it's always hyper-advertised. But I can agree, Undermine would be the best time to implement the class (after Mechagon..). However, there is still hope, that in The Last Titan with all the Ulduar/Titan facility stuff (especially Mimiron) they have some plans with a Tinker-like class.
I can see them setting up the lore for a tinker class during this patch but they absolutely wont release the class just randonly. A spec for evoker is one thing but a completely new class they wouldve marketed to get full price sales on release.

I can personally confirm that 3 of my friends would return to WoW if Blizzard made a Tinker class. Many of them (myself included) have been waiting for this class since BC. We all played the Dwarf Engineer together in Warhammer Online, then again in Guild Wars 2, and now again as the Machinist in FFXIV. But we all love WoW the most. But I’m the only one that still plays. They’d throw their wallets at Blizzard so fast it’s insane
As a huge goblin fan I’ve been wanting this for so long, turrets, mech suits, possibly a mechanical pet aspect, a support like spec like augmentation already existing, I feel like they’ve been building this up since at least BfA, with actual lore rich tinker characters being at the head of goblins and gnomes in both factions I feel that they will be in midnight after all this buildup
Melee dps with chainsaws, shotguns, tazers and a Gazlowe style exo-suit. Ranged dps with rifles, grenades, and turrets. Tank with a mechsuit like the mounts/Mekkatorque, flamethrower and big ol' robot fists. Healer with a healing turrent / healing mist grenade / darts filled with healing potions, etc. Could have a power infusion style buff with what is basically an adrenaline/steroid shot. Have wanted it for years. Only reason I'd play a Gnome/Goblin, personally.

Once I suggested a scavenger class, by fantasy these are tinkers, who make stuff out of random stuff they can get their hands on. 3 spec which would be a gadgeteer (healer or support), tinker (dps), and exo(skeleton) (tank).
Oh man...could finally be another ranged dps with a tank spec for an option (that isnt druid)....would love it!!! Ranged explosion class, mech tank spec and then a support heal/buff class with gadgets and turrets...sick!

I wish to have some sort of Artificer based on few type of resources. first type it`s nanobots to dynamically create any offensive or defensive tools , second it`s electricity to energy supply this tools so jumpjet\jetpack ailgun\shock-gauntlets\energy sheilds.... like enchants for equipment infusion for boots - speed boots infusion for back - jetpack infusion for sword - chainsaw bleed damage infusion for gauntlets (huge fists aka Arcane)- shock crash lightning...
Humans, Orcs, Gnomes, Mechagnomes, Goblins, Dwarves, Lightforged Draenei, Blood elves all have mechs of one sort or another already in game. This would be great with each race having special customizations and such for their mechas, etc.Different racial, talent, spec or cosmetic choices change how your mecha and Tinkerer arms/gadgets looks and play. Make it so you can have tracks, wheels, legs, hovercraft, etc as your means of locomotion. Rocket launcher, drills, blades, saws, lightning/beam, flamethrower, big ass shield, etc as weapons, etc. We had a Alliance and a Horde Tinkerer team for Island Expeditions in BfA. Tank in a mecha, ranged physical dps w/ turrets and a healer.
Yes! I dare to say I think they are introducing Tinkers. I said right away when seen elements what fits perfectly for Tinkers in upcoming patch. We getting teased and slowly introduced and before we know it. Just like in dragonflight BAM there it is
BfA/Mechagon was thematically the best time to add Tinker, but since adding something like that mid-pac was not a thing Blizzard would entertain back then it simply wasn't going to happen in 8.2. However, Tinker's were used extensively in Island Expeditions, which was a launch feature, so Tinkers were add-able 8.0 thematically speaking, but the issue there is that Legion already added a new class and at that time breaking away from their pre-existing "patterns of content" was not a thing at Blizzard, so we weren't going to get a new class in back-to-back expansions. Waiting until 9.0 would've been a great solution, but it was so far off piste thematically, there was no chance of it being added then. Since Blizzard seem more prepared to redesign the wheel that is their design cycle, this _is_ now our best chance of getting Tinker added to the game, at least thematically. However, which is more likely? New class mid-pac or stop relying so heavily on the theme of an expansion to dictate the new class? I think the latter will happen before the former. We technically get new classes in the pre-expansion patch anyway, and there is no reason for 100% of the pre-expansion patch to be used to tell the new expansion's story, they can go back to both Undermine and Mechagon and give Tinkers the love they deserve. Also, give Mechnagnomes the customisation options they deserve while they're at it.
I'm alright with All Shorties if we also include Dwarves, Dark Irons and Earthen. They have Tinker stuff themselves. Vulpera Tinker is some Ratchet & Clank dream tho 👀
Imo all races besides Tauren and trolls should be tinker. Every other race can be tied to some background of having experience with machine making (iron horses, apothecaries, artificers, scrappers, etc)
@ Also Island Expeditions had Tinker class teams with a mech tank, ranged DPS and healer, and the Alliance one was 3 gnomes but the Horde one was two Goblins and a Forsaken

I agree, I think if they were to release a tinker class... this might be the last chance they have. I feel like, we missed a chance with Mechagon, but this is the Undermine (tinker central) and we have Earthen machine speakers (sort of tinkers). I think if they don't release it sometime this expansion, we will never get tinker
It’s either this expansion or the last Titan where we’ll return to ulduar and mimiron will likely be our “main” npc to help us with the Manifold and all of the Titan machinery. After that I can’t imagine there being a better opportunity
Bro, sometimes you don't know what need until you experience it I went my entire life in wow never played survival hunter, but when I made my mechagnome survival hunter I had so much fun tossing grenades I didn't realize how fun it would be. So a tinker spec would be perfect for me! Also, it dawned on me how in mechagon you have those guys that toss the shields out you can stand in inside workshop, and I could see that as an ability they use as a support spec similar to how the DK bubble works. That might be really fun!

I think Blizzard doesn't have the creative power to make a Tinker or Bard class right now. As in, come up with a design/specs for this class that would fit in WoW. 😆
Bard - no, but tinker - why not? You can easily have up to 4 spec ideas with tinker - mech tanking, mech melee dps, light mech/turret ranged dps, and some "repairment" healer with literal meds, injections, defibrilations, and power shields. I mean, I don't believe that the class will be released so unexpectedly, yet you don't really have to have a lot of the creative power to introduce a tinker class. Creative power is something that's needed for a 3-spec necromancer that won't feel like a DK/SP/AW/FrM mix.
Thankfully there are creative players who have already mapped out the blueprint for them. Mech suit Tank Torbjorn turret style RDPS Mad scientist healer
I have been playing for a while with the idea of class skins: Necromantic, Tech, Void, Fel, Light, etc themes for the class skins. For instance, Demo-warlocks with necromantic gives the spells death magic visuals and pets are undead, or Demo-warlocks with Tinker theme would make their pets robots and spells shoot missiles and things like that. You can imagine a figure out the same for any other spec and class with different theme for the class skin. Gameplaywise the class is the same but with a different flavour. That sounds cool to me.
I think absolutely no1 would be against tinker class. Tank: mech suit like the goblin shredders Dps: guns, deployable turrets on timers, bombs with diff effect like poison, Electric, explosive etc. Maybe hero talent that gives shoulder mounted gun that autofires at your target. Healer: special water sprays, small deployable mech that heal or cleanse nearby allys, healing bombs Support: Bots that gives out buffs. Aoe deployable buffs/debuffs. Endless possibilities
To be honest during the Warcraft 30th video, when they said ONE MORE THING, I thought they would announce the tinker class coming with goblin patch. Housing is cool as well, but that is for the next expansion anyway. We could use a new class mid expansion to bring more people

I would love a tinker! i hope for a very explosive dps, with turrets, bombs, goblins missiles; a healer class with healing turrents and very "medical" thing; and a tank with a huge mecha tanking for u! or maybe a big armor for u, like Gazlowe in HOTS
If every spec would get Engineering style set bonuses, then fury NEEDS explosions and fire. It’s basically the only aesthetic we get other than “rocks” but it’s much cooler
I think it'd be Earthen, Dark Iron, normal dwarf, Gnome, Mechagnome, Vulpera, Goblin, Nightborne would work but also I could see it just being Earthen, Vulpera, Goblin, Gnome, Mechagnome & that could be why Workshop is coming back for the season. It's completely tinkerer themed. So could be part of the first hint for me to actually have some hope again that tinkerer may be a thing & It'd finally give us another class that can use ranged weapons. I'd assume they'd be either 3 or 4 specs. the 3 being Melee dps, ranged dps, healer but tank could be very probable.
Their mechs could be their race mounts, similar to how Paladins get their own race specific ones. Upgrading as they increase their level. I would totally reroll a Tinker, I've been waiting patiently for that for years. And it would give range weapons to another class to utilize.
In BFA I thought we was going to get a tinker class back then because on some of the expedition islands there was a tank, healer and dps that was on the dock.
Tinker might actually be the thing that forces me to finally quit. Lets look at some themes here and see how well they match: Alexstraza's forced childbearing Child soldiers the Industry of Death and suffering powering a nation state Undead being in a living state of Captivity and if mind control is the same as slavery Bigotry and second class citizens Religious fundamentalism Genocide Bob the Builder Totally fits. I'm sure the devs will give a GDC conference "How to undercut years of tone building in a single move" about how they planned for it to all be as terrible as it would be.
You guys have super hyped me for a Mail tank, ngl. I'd be open for almost anything with this spec, but do think Tauren and Draenei shouldn't be a tinker, at least initially
Dont get my hopes up for the tinker. I wanted it since burning crusade. I was hearbroken when we thought it would come after boa with all the "tinkers" in the iland expeditons. And on the subject of tier sets, they should do the bonuses to line up with the hero talent spec insteed of the regular spec
I don't think Tinker is coming in TWW, but Blizz purposefully changing their narrative style for goblins to be more than comic relief makes me think it will come eventually. Also I'd say TLT may give them opportunity for more gnome development, given the gnome heritage questline.
I think the tinker will come in midnight and will be a tank, since we are missing a tank that uses mails, and a dps support likel augmentation evoker, and the final specialization will be normal dps or healer around mid-expansion.But since BFA we have "clues" of Tinkers and nothing happened, I think this will be the same, maybe they will release another class that nobody asked for
Gw holosmith was so good. If wow did a support tank, a melee with a stun baton, and a ranged with a minigun/rocket launcher and tons of dps and support turrets I'd never play anything else. Unless a bard came out
Love to see Latinos being represented in the Warcraft community! I think that Tinkers need to come soon if possible and they should probably have a Tank, DPS and support role (be it healer or something like Aug).

Finally a good class to use for mechagnomes. I’d for sure go hard with a tinker class. Instead of doing the bare minimum rep grinds and tmog runs every week. I might start playing again.

If tinker becomes real and happens to be a support class then it should only be support spec, healer, and tank. At this point if support roles are here to stay they need to make devastation evokers a tank spec so it can actually see game play. A dps spec and supprt dps spec will always favor the support spec more and make the other obsolete. Only other concern i have is 1 dps and 2 support spec groups. Imagine fire mage or destro wl being meta and roling 2 supports bouncing off of each other juicing the living hell out of 1 dps spec even unholy dk....king of aoe pull entire dungeon and do 50 mil dps

I’ve been saying tinker and instanced player housing forever literally … and it might actually be a reality soon ….. I’m so happy ❤
Humans, Orcs, Gnomes, Mechagnomes, Goblins, Dwarves, Lightforged Draenei, Blood elves all have mechs of one sort or another already in game. This would be great with each race having special customizations and such for their mechas, etc.Different racial, talent, spec or cosmetic choices change how your mecha and Tinkerer arms/gadgets looks and play. Make it so you can have tracks, wheels, legs, hovercraft, etc as your means of locomotion. Rocket launcher, drills, blades, saws, lightning/beam, flamethrower, big ass shield, etc as weapons, etc. We had a Alliance and a Horde Tinkerer team for Island Expeditions in BfA. Tank in a mecha, ranged physical dps w/ turrets and a healer.
Yes! I dare to say I think they are introducing Tinkers. I said right away when seen elements what fits perfectly for Tinkers in upcoming patch. We getting teased and slowly introduced and before we know it. Just like in dragonflight BAM there it is
BfA/Mechagon was thematically the best time to add Tinker, but since adding something like that mid-pac was not a thing Blizzard would entertain back then it simply wasn't going to happen in 8.2. However, Tinker's were used extensively in Island Expeditions, which was a launch feature, so Tinkers were add-able 8.0 thematically speaking, but the issue there is that Legion already added a new class and at that time breaking away from their pre-existing "patterns of content" was not a thing at Blizzard, so we weren't going to get a new class in back-to-back expansions. Waiting until 9.0 would've been a great solution, but it was so far off piste thematically, there was no chance of it being added then.
Since Blizzard seem more prepared to redesign the wheel that is their design cycle, this _is_ now our best chance of getting Tinker added to the game, at least thematically. However, which is more likely? New class mid-pac or stop relying so heavily on the theme of an expansion to dictate the new class? I think the latter will happen before the former.
We technically get new classes in the pre-expansion patch anyway, and there is no reason for 100% of the pre-expansion patch to be used to tell the new expansion's story, they can go back to both Undermine and Mechagon and give Tinkers the love they deserve. Also, give Mechnagnomes the customisation options they deserve while they're at it.
I would go so hard on a tinker class. That would be instant main for me.
I'm alright with All Shorties if we also include Dwarves, Dark Irons and Earthen. They have Tinker stuff themselves.

Imo all races besides Tauren and trolls should be tinker. Every other race can be tied to some background of having experience with machine making (iron horses, apothecaries, artificers, scrappers, etc)

I agree, I think if they were to release a tinker class... this might be the last chance they have. I feel like, we missed a chance with Mechagon, but this is the Undermine (tinker central) and we have Earthen machine speakers (sort of tinkers). I think if they don't release it sometime this expansion, we will never get tinker
It’s either this expansion or the last Titan where we’ll return to ulduar and mimiron will likely be our “main” npc to help us with the Manifold and all of the Titan machinery. After that I can’t imagine there being a better opportunity

Bro, sometimes you don't know what need until you experience it I went my entire life in wow never played survival hunter, but when I made my mechagnome survival hunter I had so much fun tossing grenades I didn't realize how fun it would be. So a tinker spec would be perfect for me!
Also, it dawned on me how in mechagon you have those guys that toss the shields out you can stand in inside workshop, and I could see that as an ability they use as a support spec similar to how the DK bubble works. That might be really fun!

I think Blizzard doesn't have the creative power to make a Tinker or Bard class right now. As in, come up with a design/specs for this class that would fit in WoW. 😆
1 tank 2 dps, 1 being a support style spec like dracthyr, boom you got tinker

You don't think they could do a bard class, but they already added one in dragonflight. Did you even play since DF?
Bard - no, but tinker - why not? You can easily have up to 4 spec ideas with tinker - mech tanking, mech melee dps, light mech/turret ranged dps, and some "repairment" healer with literal meds, injections, defibrilations, and power shields. I mean, I don't believe that the class will be released so unexpectedly, yet you don't really have to have a lot of the creative power to introduce a tinker class. Creative power is something that's needed for a 3-spec necromancer that won't feel like a DK/SP/AW/FrM mix.
Thankfully there are creative players who have already mapped out the blueprint for them.

I have been playing for a while with the idea of class skins: Necromantic, Tech, Void, Fel, Light, etc themes for the class skins. For instance, Demo-warlocks with necromantic gives the spells death magic visuals and pets are undead, or Demo-warlocks with Tinker theme would make their pets robots and spells shoot missiles and things like that. You can imagine a figure out the same for any other spec and class with different theme for the class skin. Gameplaywise the class is the same but with a different flavour. That sounds cool to me.
If we get Tinker, surely my hope for tank shaman isn’t too far fetched

I think absolutely no1 would be against tinker class.
Tank: mech suit like the goblin shredders
Dps: guns, deployable turrets on timers, bombs with diff effect like poison, Electric, explosive etc. Maybe hero talent that gives shoulder mounted gun that autofires at your target.
Healer: special water sprays, small deployable mech that heal or cleanse nearby allys, healing bombs
Support: Bots that gives out buffs. Aoe deployable buffs/debuffs.
Endless possibilities
Been wanting Tinkers for so many years now... I truly hope that Evoker was a "test" for support classes with Tinker in mind.
To be honest during the Warcraft 30th video, when they said ONE MORE THING, I thought they would announce the tinker class coming with goblin patch. Housing is cool as well, but that is for the next expansion anyway. We could use a new class mid expansion to bring more people

I would love a tinker! i hope for a very explosive dps, with turrets, bombs, goblins missiles; a healer class with healing turrents and very "medical" thing; and a tank with a huge mecha tanking for u! or maybe a big armor for u, like Gazlowe in HOTS
If every spec would get Engineering style set bonuses, then fury NEEDS explosions and fire. It’s basically the only aesthetic we get other than “rocks” but it’s much cooler

Don’t forget the island expedition teams that had a potential tank/healer/dps specs for a tinker.
I think it'd be Earthen, Dark Iron, normal dwarf, Gnome, Mechagnome, Vulpera, Goblin, Nightborne would work but also I could see it just being Earthen, Vulpera, Goblin, Gnome, Mechagnome & that could be why Workshop is coming back for the season. It's completely tinkerer themed. So could be part of the first hint for me to actually have some hope again that tinkerer may be a thing & It'd finally give us another class that can use ranged weapons. I'd assume they'd be either 3 or 4 specs. the 3 being Melee dps, ranged dps, healer but tank could be very probable.
Their mechs could be their race mounts, similar to how Paladins get their own race specific ones. Upgrading as they increase their level. I would totally reroll a Tinker, I've been waiting patiently for that for years. And it would give range weapons to another class to utilize.
Tinker would be really cool but class-wise, I'm hoping we get something like Spellbreaker in Midnight. Loads of Elves and Magic about!
In BFA I thought we was going to get a tinker class back then because on some of the expedition islands there was a tank, healer and dps that was on the dock.
It is the perfect time for a Cosmic Void class during Midnight. The talks about Tinker have haunted me at this point.
Tinker might actually be the thing that forces me to finally quit.

Everyone. No reason to race lock, especially as they want to expand all the classes to every race eventually (except for evoker and DH).
You guys have super hyped me for a Mail tank, ngl. I'd be open for almost anything with this spec, but do think Tauren and Draenei shouldn't be a tinker, at least initially

Dont get my hopes up for the tinker. I wanted it since burning crusade. I was hearbroken when we thought it would come after boa with all the "tinkers" in the iland expeditons. And on the subject of tier sets, they should do the bonuses to line up with the hero talent spec insteed of the regular spec
Yes, good strategy to add another pain point for class balance while introducing a new class when everything else is bugged or not balanced.
I don't think Tinker is coming in TWW, but Blizz purposefully changing their narrative style for goblins to be more than comic relief makes me think it will come eventually.
Also I'd say TLT may give them opportunity for more gnome development, given the gnome heritage questline.
I think the tinker will come in midnight and will be a tank, since we are missing a tank that uses mails, and a dps support likel augmentation evoker, and the final specialization will be normal dps or healer around mid-expansion.But since BFA we have "clues" of Tinkers and nothing happened, I think this will be the same, maybe they will release another class that nobody asked for
Gw holosmith was so good. If wow did a support tank, a melee with a stun baton, and a ranged with a minigun/rocket launcher and tons of dps and support turrets I'd never play anything else. Unless a bard came out

I think that Tinkers need to come soon if possible and they should probably have a Tank, DPS and support role (be it healer or something like Aug).

Brann Bronzebeard has some abilities that could fit the tinker class. Like the healing potions he throws (reminds me of the wc3 alchemist hero)
Finally a good class to use for mechagnomes. I’d for sure go hard with a tinker class. Instead of doing the bare minimum rep grinds and tmog runs every week. I might start playing again.
Ive been playing Tinker, such a fun class to play.
Bring us Shaman tank, tinker class (with tank, dps, healer, and support), and move disc healing to support as well.
I wanted a Tinker class ever since Legion where I saw Mekkatorque shoot a demon in the face with his mech suit.
Tanking with mechamachines, dps with turrets, and I want a flamethrower spell!! xD, sotilèges to heal with kit and darts, and forms of mobility in jet pack OMG

If tinker becomes real and happens to be a support class then it should only be support spec, healer, and tank. At this point if support roles are here to stay they need to make devastation evokers a tank spec so it can actually see game play. A dps spec and supprt dps spec will always favor the support spec more and make the other obsolete. Only other concern i have is 1 dps and 2 support spec groups. Imagine fire mage or destro wl being meta and roling 2 supports bouncing off of each other juicing the living hell out of 1 dps spec even unholy dk....king of aoe pull entire dungeon and do 50 mil dps
is there even anything to back up the tinker idea? Any datamining, any quests, any logs, really anything except "Goblin patch = tinker".
