@@john-hanner Sensible transfers has traditionally been a series based around pinpointing a weak point in a team, and then providing sensible transfer options. If we’re going by the “move from a position of strength logic”, then it’s still a strange episode of sensible transfers. For me, not what sensible transfers has historically been about, and so it seems like a strange episode to me.
@@sorryminati4719 he's good but not elite. Still think it would have been smart to give him the odd runout though, if anything to boost his transfer fee.
Marquinhos, Edmond Tapsoba, Wesley Fofana, Sven Botman, Bastoni, and the wild card Tomiyasu (great in the air, ambidextrous and press resistant would be a great anchor in the middle given time and guidance).
Giving Ampadu a chance. Guehi & Tomori sold. Zouma should be sold & buying Skriniar/Lacroix would be top choice. Rüdiger Silva Christensen Ampadu Skriniar Azpilicueta When Rüdiger leaves X.Mubayemba or Sarr or whoever can take over
Ampadi's biggest plus is his versatility though I think he should be moved given that we have two very promising CBs in Mbuyamba and Levi Colwill for the future
Christensen has already proven himself to be a pretty capable replacement for Silva. Chelsea have five excellent central defenders, surely it isn't their top priority?
One of the fastest CBs and it's left footed with world class potential 60 million max i would buy. Guehi 20 million Zouma 30 million and there you go buy Torres
The most impressive thing about silva is the leadership qualities. Even when he couldn’t speak a word of English he was the main man in the defence. It’s probably his most important attribute to the Chelsea back line and it’s important a replacement for him can show the same leadership…
Andreas Christensen was starting for Chelsea under Conté in the Libero role at the age of 21 during the 17/18 season. I don't think the club have to look any further than him; he's basically a younger, quicker and taller version of Thiago Silva. Maybe not as experienced, strong or efficient with his weak foot, but the player profile is strikingly similar. We don't call him "The Danish Maldini" for no reason
Christensen proved to play the central defending position very well. In fact, I must admit I was surprised at his timed tackles and reading of the game.
Chelsea are 2 players away from serious title bid - centre back and forward. Kounde should be perfect, young and bags of potential, other would be imo Milenkovic from Fiorentina who maybe isnt that great passer but moving current Chelsea rcb to "libero" is the thing to mix it up. Forward - Haland is probably biggest bet and him and Werner should be great upfront with Kai or Mount, so Tuchel could finally have a squad to make things interesting.
Zouma was brilliant for the first half of last season, Rudiger was brilliant for the second half. They can be our left sided centre backs. Christensen is another capable backup, Don’t think we need another CB until Thiago Silva leaves
Azpilicueta is one of the best transfers of all time 7 million for him insane. 2 Premier league's 1 Champions league 2 Europa League's 2 FA cups and lots more. One of the best premier league captain's and he never makes mistakes ALWAYS reliable.
Rudiger, Azpilicueta, Silva, Zouma, Christensen and James can play in the back 3, I'd say we could stick with that while players like Ampadu and Sarr develop or even Xavier Mbuyamba
because the club and manager couldn't put their trust in him and gave him the game time he needed, so Tomori pushes for a permanent move. When the player already wants to go, there is not much the club could do to keep him. (with some exceptions, like Messi).
I think the club got good money for him plus he wasn't playing last season and wanted to play more. Now that TT plays a back 3, he would've been the perfect backup for Rudiger but alas, AC Milan were willing to pay 30M I think for him so Chelsea had to let him go. Sucks though, he might become a top class CB but then we'll just buy him back 😉
@@HendriS_1707 There is always a lot the club can do to keep a player. The reason we've seen this in practice with Messi is simply because his value is so important to Barcelona. In Tomori's case, Chelsea clearly didn't want to keep him and were happy with £25m
@@PeterEhik It was only £25m unfortunately. Chelsea sold Tomori and Guehi for a combined £45m, meanwhile Arsenal signed Ben White for £50m. What's the world coming to?
We don't need a new CB. And if we did go out and buy one I'd be pretty disapointed given we just sold Tomori and Guehi. Christensen is the successor to Thiago Silva, Reece James the Successor to Azpilicueta and Levi Colwill the eventual successor to Rudiger. Striker and Defensive Midfield are the two areas that need investing in
@@abzda1700 they are all old and dont have much time in the club. Silva probably last season and hes our best and experienced cb atm. That is why u said "young" so he can get experience from silva. Cesar will probably leave after 2 years so does chris. So i think its time to get a young cb and make him ready for future
the other option which is very realistic is Declan Rice as he wants to join Chelsea, almost a center back playing in midfield he can comfortably take up the middle of a back 3 role at chelsea
For long term, there's players out there like Milan Škriniar, Luiz Felipe, Cristian Romero or Sven Botman. For a slightly shorter term there's de Vrij, Varane, Gimenez or Koulibaly. But Chelsea need a 35+ goal per season striker, Håland or Lukaku are the go to right now
I think if we are playing back 3, Declan Rice surely can play that CB role. Imagine a team, Mendy, Chilly, Rudiger, Rice, James, Adama Troare, J5, Kante, Havertz , Mount Haland. With the bench of CHo, Pulisic, Ziyech.. we would be unstoppable going forward.
I'm surprised that Ethan Ampadu is not even part of the discussion. He was good at Sheffield and this is the perfect season to see if he belongs at Chelsea or not by keeping him on as the sixth defender. That premier league experience last season should hold him in good stead. If he turns up, Chelsea saves money. If he doesn't, then he'll go for 20m or so. Additionally, he can also be a back up defensive midfielder for Kante if the Declan Rice/Camavinga/Tchouameni bids fail.
@@jackgallagher4523 so yeah there's a win now approach, however some of these are for the the medium to long term which is where the Colwill's and Mbuyamba's can come in

Christiensen is absolutely perfect for the middle of the back 3. This analysis is poor. And kounde is a RCB his height means he won't be perfect in the middle of a back 3
People say that Chelsea needs a striker more than a defender or center back, tbh Chelsea just needs their attacking players to score more and take their chances. I am not talking about timo alone, I’m talking about the whole attacking options
I think Chelsea are a very complete squad. Maybe a young def midfielder to rotate with jorginho and kante. And a CF which can smash in the goals. Someone like Gabriel Jesus - in terms of pressing/movement
Weird that Christensen doesn't get a mention after a fairly excellent season in the exact role of Thiago, and a superb world cup showing. Marc Guehi has impressed on loan at Swansea, is about the same age as Kounde, and has already captained Chelsea and England. It's a matter of whether he can perform at the top level and whether the club can show faith in him, but I'm not convinced we need to panic buy a new player. Covering for Azpi long term makes more sense. If the system is preserved it would be ideal to move James to RCB where he was rather good (except for a couple of blunders that can be ironed out in time), and sign a wing-back. Hakimi was perfect for this but it's hard to compete with PSG.
I definitely agree about Christensen, he is the long term heir to Silva. Unfortunately Guehi has already signed for Palace by the looks of things, presuming chelsea have a buy back clause
@@samn90834 Goddamn, I didn't realize he was gone. Kind of gutted, but yes apparently Chelsea have the option to match any future bids for him, for what that's worth.

No, I love Tifo to bits but I disagree with signing another CB for Chelsea - particularly a sweeper - as being a sensible transfer. Thiago Silva is currently one of the best in the business, Christensen is a great backup and a player who can grow in the role. They also have Ethan Ampadu should they want someone to backup Christensen when Silva leaves. On the right they have Azpi, on the left Rudiger - with Zouma, Sarr, and if necessary James being great backup options. Tuchel may also switch to a back 4 which would mean sales are more needed than further acquisitions in this area of the pitch. Kounde, Sule, Akanji are all great players but they’re costing approx £30-60m each and they’re not significant upgrades.
cristian romero or marquinhos or any world class cb is the actual need for chelsea ! with tomori and also zouma almost leaving this opens up a spot already so they need to consider all these aspects
@@needlemouse39 there's no reliable option right now as acm who can shoot and score from outside the box against park the bus opponents like Coutinho, bruno etc. For cdm though i know we are not in dire need but as reports are saying if we get rice for 50M it would be a great addition to an already good mid. @@veler6049 Yep, I agree with that. it's the chances that we don't convert that frustrates me the most!
please no jorghino and kante too defenensive
that 7 defensively minded players and we won't score enough goals.
@@michaelhenry6821 you can have 10 offensive players if you want but with werner as striker you’re lucky to get 1
If you had told me 2 seasons ago that people would be complaining about Jorginho being TOO defensively stable smh
Centre half is one of the positions I’m least worried about, we need a proper number 9, if Tammy isn’t favoured
I feel like we're going to regret losing Tammy
Christensen arguably in the top 5 CB prospects, and he’s already very well rounded excelling for Denmark in the Euros. Seems a strange episode of Sensible Transfers
i swear some of yall didnt even watch the video, they said that while chelsea CB is in a decent spot, they should make a move in the position of strength rather than wait for problems to arise, especially azpi and thiago silva are not long term options
@@john-hanner Sensible transfers has traditionally been a series based around pinpointing a weak point in a team, and then providing sensible transfer options. If we’re going by the “move from a position of strength logic”, then it’s still a strange episode of sensible transfers. It’s like looking at Arsenal’s strikers and saying well, they have Aubameyang, Lacazette and Nketiah but two are ageing so they ought to move now for a striker when they’re in a position of strength. For me, not what sensible transfers has historically been about, and so it seems like a strange episode to me.
Chelsea are one decent no. 9 away from competing for the prem
Come on
They have a good one like Tammy :-P
@@sorryminati4719 Tammy's play style doesn't fit Thomas's idea
Just need to remember not to give him the number 9 shirt
@@sorryminati4719 he's good but not elite. Still think it would have been smart to give him the odd runout though, if anything to boost his transfer fee.
Kai havertz, werner, and abraham
the answer: trevor chalobah
Maybe Chelsea are doing sensible transfers this time. Good video Tifo
Watching this after Chelsea are in advanced talks for Kounde 😄
Marquinhos, Edmond Tapsoba, Wesley Fofana, Sven Botman, Bastoni, and the wild card Tomiyasu (great in the air, ambidextrous and press resistant would be a great anchor in the middle given time and guidance).
Before watching the video: With Rudiger, Zouma, Christensen, Thiago, Azpilicueta and Sarr they need a Striker.
Smart CB signing - shouldn’t have sold Guehi
We still have Malang Sarr and Mbumyamba
shouldn't have sold Tomori either, especially for that little...
They absolutely rinsed Palace for him... Excellent transfer negotiating to get twenty million for him
@@iceytoa1 I didn’t mind Tomori going cause Guehi was considered way more talented and going to be “the one” to break through
@@absolutespoon2074 guehi ain’t all that tbh
the second video in a row where tifo sugest a position for a club that they don't really need, first real madrid, now chelsea
Is Matthias Ginter a good Option ?
Andrea Christensen, a Chelsea academy product who had a great euros 2020 and CL final is the rightful hier at center half for Silva and Azpi
Giving Ampadu a chance. Guehi & Tomori sold. Zouma should be sold & buying Skriniar/Lacroix would be top choice.
Rüdiger Silva Christensen
Ampadu Skriniar Azpilicueta
When Rüdiger leaves X.Mubayemba or Sarr or whoever can take over
Ampadi's biggest plus is his versatility though I think he should be moved given that we have two very promising CBs in Mbuyamba and Levi Colwill for the future
Malang sarr is underrated
He will be recalled to the first team soon
The guy was horrible playing for Porto's B team in the reserve league what makes you think he could make it here?
Sadly he's signed his career away to Chelsea's loan system
a guy who can't break into porto's fisrt 11 will not do anything massive for us
Tf? 😂 Bruh even Porto fans don't like him. The Chelsea Vs Porto was mocked by being called whoever loses take Sarr 😂. The man's not rated at all
Dont judge him based on his perfomances at porto
He was a beast for Nice.
Christensen might actually be good enough for the CB role
actually really happy with what we have in defence
Marina stalking these videos - looks like Kounde is on his way.
That drawing of Manu is hilarious, knew he was going to be one of tifo's picks when i saw the title.
Christensen has already proven himself to be a pretty capable replacement for Silva. Chelsea have five excellent central defenders, surely it isn't their top priority?
If Chelsea wants CB who have the experience playing in the prem, Vestegaard or Joachim Andersen could play in that position.
what?
Got to be raising those expectations.
I think a more urgent transfer for Chelsea lies in the striker spot...
I think a CB is not a priority right now. But if it was, Pau Torres could be a great option
One of the fastest CBs and it's left footed with world class potential 60 million max i would buy.
Guehi 20 million
Zouma 30 million
and there you go buy Torres
Christensen could be that long term CB for them. I don’t think they need to be spending too much on the future in defence
The most needed transfer position for Chelsea is a striker not a center half.
Loving the percentile stats in these videos
Can you guys do one for Man Utd's Defensive Midfielder problem?
A central defender experienced in the middle of a three, excellent distribution and a leader - sure you’re not talking about Conor Coady?
Tifo usually is a bit more insightful in the areas that need strengthening. Chelsea need a striker before a defender.
why sign Süle when we have Zouma...? they are nearly the exact same profile
Zouma was brilliant for the first half of last season, Rudiger was brilliant for the second half. They can be our left sided centre backs. Christensen is another capable backup, Don’t think we need another CB until Thiago Silva leaves
Do an episode on Liverpool identifying Gini’s replacement and a more traditional number 9.
De ligt would be a good transfer but too expensive. Then again it is Chelsea.
Cb is the last thing they need, they need a proper forward who can finish and they are literally complete
I still don't understand why we let Tomori go 😭
because the club and manager couldn't put their trust in him and gave him the game time he needed, so Tomori pushes for a permanent move. When the player already wants to go, there is not much the club could do to keep him. (with some exceptions, like Messi).
So angry about that he’s going to be world class
Striker and Defensive Midfield are the two areas that need investing in
This is the best football series on TH-cam!
I thought Chelsea crave for a scorer?
Yes but from next season we will also be needing a cb. This is the right time to buy one good young cb so he can get some experience from Silva.
@@LauraLasan69 we don’t really we have 3 cbs
@@abzda1700 they are all old and dont have much time in the club. Silva probably last season and hes our best and experienced cb atm. That is why u said "young" so he can get experience from silva. Cesar will probably leave after 2 years so does chris. So i think its time to get a young cb and make him ready for future
@@abzda1700 club who dont think about future will end up like Barcelona
@@LauraLasan69 I’m talking about rudiger Christensen zouma and Reece
the other option which is very realistic is Declan Rice as he wants to join Chelsea, almost a center back playing in midfield he can comfortably take up the middle of a back 3 role at chelsea
This. Completely overlooks the youth talent Chelsea have e.g. Colwill, Mbuyamba, Simeu etc
@@jackgallagher4523 so yeah there's a win now approach, however some of these are for the the medium to long term which is where the Colwill's and Mbuyamba's can come in
How do you make the animation for Tuchel n Lampard I've always wanted to know
Finally Chelsea content 💯... Love to see it
I am suprised you didnt say de ligt...
As a chelsea fan, I was also very impressed by that Czech guy, Kalas. But from a average Championship side to a top PL side would be a big jump for Kalas. I hope some smaller PL club gets him so we can see him more.
He used to play in Chelsea 😂
Tifo never does anything sensible when it comes to chelsea. We need a striker not a cb.
Not to knock them too hard, but this time last season I think they were saying we would do well to start Bakayoko again. I like their other content, but these transfer videos seem pretty out of touch.
@@Logstickz nah their videos are amazing including transfers but when it comes to chelsea, they don't seem to be positive. We are linked with haaland instead of making a video on how good he will be they made a video saying if we really need him. When we won UCL they didn't acknowledge it. When we turned our season around under tuchel they didn't make a video. They always ignore chelsea and in the rare times they make a Chelsea related video it's complete nonsense. The Abrahmovic, marina videos we're good though.
Please do one for Manchester United for CDM.
What about Caglar Söyüncü?
Christiensen is absolutely perfect for the middle of the back 3. This analysis is poor.
And kounde is a RCB his height means he won't be perfect in the middle of a back 3
This^
Hoping for a videos on Crystal Palace’s transfers and rebuild at the end of the transfer window!
Genuinely, Akanji really impressed me at Euro 2020. But I don’t see Chelsea needing a CB this summer
I don't think we need CB. Striker is our priority now. With Giroud gone, Abraham leaving soon.
Maybe Christian Romero could fit better than Kounde and Sule for a more central and leader role. Exciting names by the way.
Sensible transfer: Milan-> rw, cam & st
They simply don't need another centre half. They need a striker. Thats it
I don't think akanji is by any means a compromise to the other options.... In fact he may be better defender then the other two...
Make one on dortmund and how they can replace sancho and how should they use the sancho money to improve in other positions.
Not at all. Rudiger is one the best CB in Europe since Tuchel’s appointment.
We need a replacement for Silva? Yes. But it’s not the main priority this summer. Maybe in January or Summer 2022.
What about Maxence Lacroix, has excellent distribution, is a young leader, taller than kounde, and more reliable than sule
Actually We don't need a CB. What we really need is a CF, CDM and somehow ACM.
why do we need an ACM or CDM
@@needlemouse39 there's no reliable option right now as acm who can shoot and score from outside the box against park the bus opponents like Coutinho, bruno etc. For cdm though i know we are not in dire need but as reports are saying if we get rice for 50M it would be a great addition to an already good mid. Moreover you can't rely on Kante all the time, man need rest as well to stay fit although he's a machine. Kova is more of an box to box and Jorginho might crumble under intense high press opponents like we saw against Spain. So one more good cdm is somehow a good thing to have.

We don't need CB purchases. We have Christensen, we have Ampadu
