Thanks for the spectrogram explanation - it's something I never thought to use, but now I realise how informative it can be. The 3D mode combined with track colouring is simply amazing.
I love this. And love how happy you were with how mono the song is. This often off puts me and has me guilty of mixing more with my eyes than my ears. Some songs are Ok slightly mono 🎉
A great explanatory video, thank you. Incidentally (and I'm not sure which is correct), in college back in the stone age when using both horizontal and vertical inputs with oscilloscopes, the instructor called it Lissajew, but I notice most Sound people call it Lissajuss. At any rate, Insight 2 is a great plugin and I use it constantly for the master. I will use it more on individual tracks now as well.
Thanks for the share on this, didn't realize about the relay aspect for spectrogram. I haven't been able to get much resolution out of the low end though, does anybody know if it's possible to increase resolution there?
@@iZotopeOfficial I can vouch for the experience with the N4 oscilloscope. Out of all the ones I have tried, the one packaged in N4 gives me the best insight to sound distribution etc. All personal preference mind, but I like it a lot.
am i the only one who's just use paz analyzer and ears? 😊 for everything else, cubase has it also in super vision. i maybe would buy this for 30-50 dollar, but 200? for what? the 3d animation? 😅
Fantastically in-depth breakdown but I hate to be that guy - voice track here is boomy and muddy and the video itself is peaking at 3db over. I found it distracting and odd for one of the biggest audio quality and restoration companies in the world...

The "Everything In" series are excellent demos.
Insight 2 is the best plugin ever made.
I'm one of those whose owned this for years but never opened because I was intimidated. As of today that is no longer the case!!! TY

Thank you so much. That 3d spectrogram is gold for analysis.

What exactly is the ‘Everything’ feature ???
It does EQ, compression, saturation, limiting and adds 10 Sausage Fattener instances. No mastering engineer required :P
@@noahbecerra you’re giving away the good stuff!

what about intelligibility?
Intelligibility is a post-focussed feature. This video was intended to only showcase music production workflows.
@@iZotopeOfficial Ooo I was trying to use it to make sure vocals were in the green. Thanks for the info
Why is it that a very good oscilloscope is very hard to make by plugin developers? It is way too helpful in understanding how your audio works.
Not for iZotope! You’ll find one in Neutron 4, learn more here: th-cam.com/video/HufSg9cd_9A/w-d-xo.html
