Hear blood curl.... screaming and the word help or that hurts but didn't call for help!! I hope I never have a neighbor like that if I'm being hurt 🤕 😭😢😢 I mean to me it's common sense or in my nature to want to help if I seen someone in pain and if I hear fighting or distress I'm calling for help and have been put in that position before
I was in my backyard one night with the dog before heading to bed and I heard two people screaming and a woman started screaming no over and over. I immediately called police and held my yapping Chihuahua while talking to them (baby was asleep inside) only to find out the neighbor two doors down was watching a horror movie in his backyard theater. I felt so stupid, but I'll never be sorry for calling the police for what I thought was real.
Maybe, maybe not. I’m autistic (they don’t use the term Asperger’s anymore). I went through, and still go through problems with emotional regulation. However, I haven’t committed any murders. Do I think people might misread my responses and falsely accuse me? Hell yes.
The way Aspergers/Autistic Spectrum Disorder played a part in Brandon's parent's murders is Brandon didn't know how to act to not look guilty. I believe it's plain to see he did it, but he thought he was smart enough to get away with it.
I think that's farthest from the truth. He doesn't know how to lie and I believe him having friends was more important than anything. I think that friend took advantage of him
The last story of John McCabe is so very sad, the fact that her husband died not hearing the guilty verdict. They are all upsetting and may they ALL RIP 💖🕯️
Sweet Bill, died, trying to find his son's killer. He finally gave up, too be with him. How heartbreaking. His wife, is, one strong lady. That family, is beautiful.
The amount of people who hear someone being murdered and don’t call the police is astounding. *Make the call!* If you’re wrong, fine. If you’re right, you just saved someone’s life. The sister in the second case knows deep down her brother did it. I feel for her tho. It’s a harsh reality to accept. The “large” dog door is most definitely not the way that guy got into their home. It’s silly to even say that tbh. There is no way he could fit given his size. If the defense used this argument in court prosecutors could’ve had someone similar in body size attempt to do it, so people can see it’s not plausible.
I’ve watched the John McCabe case before but felt compelled to watch again. I’ll never understand how people can be so cruel to another over something as insignificant as a teenage romance. Very sorry the second guy wasn’t found guilty as well.
You can't carry keys on a key ring inside a wallet. And the brother SAID he gave him the keys, AND sent him there to 'scare' his parents. 100% guilty, no doubt.
I have one key, it detaches from my large phone wallet. Just sayin..;) being an ICU nurse down here in South Florida we used to take minimal amount of stuff back and forth from work. And I can tell you there is no whatever Medical Center they're talking about ,or, special CDC facility during covid down here
I have a son with Asperger’s and the way this young man was interviewed was not appropriate or fair. I think detectives need to be coached trained on how to conduct this type of interviews with people that have mental disabilities.🤷♀️ Autistic people sometimes they say yes ,to whatever you may say to them to get you off their back , they don’t like confrontation it gives them anxiety , , they also say random sh** without meaning what they say. I think he was manipulated by his guy friend, and he fell for it, now he has to pay the price of his mistakes.😐Prayers for his sister may God give her the strength and acceptance to move forward in life🙏🏻✨so 😞

So everyone is in agreement Felix murdered the parents, but opinions of whether the son was involved vary. If Felix did this on his own, what was his motive? What does he gain? The answer is nada. He doesn’t have a motive and he gains nothing from committing this crime at his own volition.

In a traffic psychology experiment, a seemingly serious traffic accident was once staged - a wrecked car and an injured person lying on the ground next to it, "covered in blood". More than a hundred drove past without reacting. A few kilometers further on, the police stopped the drivers and asked them why they had not tried to help. They heard all sorts of stupid excuses: "I didn't have time, I couldn't miss my flight! I've already been late for work twice this week, my boss wouldn't have believed me! I was sure that the people behind me would stop! I was just turning the car radio and didn't see any of it!" etc. etc.

Because of all the FALSE 911 calls. If you can't read instructions, it's on you. It's disgusting how people blame EVERYTHING else except themselves. Take some responsibility. Does your phone automatically dial 911? Why aren't you bawling about that?
Why are people not already programmed to be clever?
“When I see him again I will give it to him” made me cry
Me too.
I dont think his sister really understands her brother's diagnosis. And I feel for her , pushing aside her own needs to protect her brother and be respectful and honor their mom and dad! 😢 Prayers for her 🙏 She needs to step back and see the reality.
Maybe deep down she does--at the end it's written that Brandon has written to her from jail proclaiming his innocence, and she says she's never responded.

I appreciate them telling us Kobe was adopted to a good home! 🐺

The Mcvabe family is just beautiful. Their story breaks my heart. Evelyn is a firecracker and so sweet
Worst 48hrs Interviewer EVER--"You really miss your (dead) parents don't you??"
Me--🤦
I really hate the questions they ask the victims families sometimes. Very insensitive and borderline line disrespectful
Agreed worst ever
How does that make you feel? What an insensitive question.
It's eyebrow raising but I believe they've spent long enough time together by the time Erin can "comfortably" ask such a question. The interviewer has decades of experience in those situations. One of the things a lot of people find very real about these 48hrs investigation is that the Interviewers do not dance around issues.
My heart always break whenever I watch the John Mc Cabe story, his dad really fought for him hard, seeing him on the stand is just sad to see 😔
The fire story is awful. It happened to me. My husband and I were on our way to pick up my mom. We saw smoke and my husband joked and said "looks like your brother caught the house on fire." We get there and my mom was being air lifted. Her 6 yorkies died. No one was ever charged for the arson. It took 2 years for my mom to get functional. My husband felt guilty for joking. We took care of my mom for 16yrs when she died from diabetes.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine how he felt after seeing what happened. Nothing stings quite like words that can't be taken back.
I bet husband felt felt REALLY bad sorry for lost You had good years with your mom 👩
Love these marathons, 48 Hours!! Keep em comin!!
Still the absolutely slickest produced crime videos on TH-cam, with terrific film edits and top notch interviews. I really like the ominous sounding music intro. Well done !!
I live for the music! It sets the tone for me.
Years ago I was alone with the kids in a new home.Someone parked across the street and it just looked suspicious so I called. Many years later that logged police call as they had come out helped convict a man accused of R that night in my town because it confirmed he was there that night and had hid his car on the other side of town across from my house 😐
Well done 👍
Thank you for doing the right thing. ❤️
I hate that the neighbor heard such screams and never called the cops.
Seemingly intelligent, experienced adults talking about ‘soulmates’ and then rushing into marriage and living together. Hard to fathom.
I hope someone adopted his dog and gave it a loving home

People Scream bcuz they need help & are hoping someone will come to their aid! It’s always Better to be safe than sorry If you hear an Adult screaming then just call the authorities.
Children on the other hand do scream while they’re just playing but you can usually tell the difference in life threatening & play…but if you’re not sure then again it’s better to be safe & call than sorry for not.
I know! That neighbor is the worst!! You hear a scream and do nothing?? Gretchen could have been saved! That truly infuriated me! RIP sweet Gretchen! ❤️🩹❤️🩹🙏🏾🙏🏾
Can't believe neighbors didn't call authorities
True. People do not care about one another any more. What happened to love thy neighbour, being a brother’keeper? Yes!Adults do not just scream for the love of it! Someone screaming !And you dot report?
Hear blood curl.... screaming and the word help or that hurts but didn't call for help!! I hope I never have a neighbor like that if I'm being hurt 🤕 😭😢😢 I mean to me it's common sense or in my nature to want to help if I seen someone in pain and if I hear fighting or distress I'm calling for help and have been put in that position before
It's crazy that the neighbor didn't call police but talked to 48 hours??? That blew my mind. How can they sleep at night?? 41:58
Brandon so clearly did it
I feel sorry for the sister but I think Brandon did it
I was in my backyard one night with the dog before heading to bed and I heard two people screaming and a woman started screaming no over and over. I immediately called police and held my yapping Chihuahua while talking to them (baby was asleep inside) only to find out the neighbor two doors down was watching a horror movie in his backyard theater. I felt so stupid, but I'll never be sorry for calling the police for what I thought was real.
Nobody is going to protect you, you have to protect yourself at all times.

Brandon's sister is in denial. I can easily see him commit that crime.

I think that friend took advantage of him
My goodness that last story about John😢Wow Wow Wow. John's parents never gave up
The last story of John McCabe is so very sad, the fact that her husband died not hearing the guilty verdict.
Gretchen’s neighbor who heard her being killed and did nothing is officially the worst human being on the planet. 😪
worse than the one who killed her????
I Think Brandon did it,so sad
I agree with you. Money is the root of all evil.
I’ve watched the John McCabe case before but felt compelled to watch again. I’ll never understand how people can be so cruel to another over something as insignificant as a teenage romance. Very sorry the second guy wasn’t found guilty as well.
Who says he's guilty? I'm not at all convinced.
I am seething with anger that the neighbor didn't call 911. What the hell is wrong with people ⁉️
Yes Brandon is probably guilty, but damn that blonde is just blatantly using him for money she stupidly believes is there.

You can't carry keys on a key ring inside a wallet.
And the brother SAID he gave him the keys, AND sent him there to 'scare' his parents.
100% guilty, no doubt.

So everyone is in agreement Felix murdered the parents, but opinions of whether the son was involved vary. If Felix did this on his own, what was his motive? What does he gain? The answer is nada. He doesn’t have a motive and he gains nothing from committing this crime at his own volition.

Why would his sister be worried about saying the wrong thing… Why doesn’t she just tell the truth.
A golddigger has a name: Sarah
Spot on. I said the same thing. And she's extra shameless for coming on 48 Hours like this.
She thought she had an easy one to take to the cleaners (well she would have if he got away with it).
It's gross that 48 Hours kind of portrays her as a victim.
I wouldn't be surprised at all if she knew about, or even instigated Brandon's actions.
*[EDIT]:* For some reason "Sarah" tends to be a common golddigger name lol. (Apologies to all the non-goldigger Sarah's lol)
Imagine having to spend the rest of your life knowing that you could have done something to likely prevent a tragedy, but in the moment chose not to call 911 and as a result, someone payed the ultimate price. I don't think I could live with that kind of guilt and shame. But perhaps that's just me.

There is screaming and there is Screaming. If you hear a really bloodcurling Scream you dial 911. Better safe than sorry.....it should just be common sense....
These people who hear screams & don't call the Police make me literally sick! I mean, what the actual F*!? 😡
How, literally, how can they sleep at night??? After hearing that and...they just continue checking emails? It's really crazy and sickening. I saw an episode where the neighbors heard someone moaning for hours and didn't call 911. The person ended up dumped at a hospital and dying. I wish there were real consequences and jail time for people who don't call 911! They could have saved someone's life. It's crazy to do nothing. How can they sleep? With someone screaming or yelling for help. How is that possible?

In a traffic psychology experiment, a seemingly serious traffic accident was once staged - a wrecked car and an injured person lying on the ground next to it, "covered in blood". More than a hundred drove past without reacting. A few kilometers further on, the police stopped the drivers and asked them why they had not tried to help. They heard all sorts of stupid excuses: "I didn't have time, I couldn't miss my flight! I've already been late for work twice this week, my boss wouldn't have believed me! I was sure that the people behind me would stop! I was just turning the car radio and didn't see any of it!" etc. etc.
