You truly never know. I was out with three friends in Manhattan’s Washington Square Park. A guy who sold us a couple of dime bags, rode back up to us on his bike and pulled out a 12 to 15 inch blade and attempted to hold us up right there in the park. The cops were on horses only 150 feet away from us. We made a bit of a commotion the guy rode off. About 15 people walked past us during the event and nobody saw a thing. Even his mother in law said ,.I liked very much, she was so beautiful. They seem all the looks .My husband were both good looking but people would say they were so good for each other both so giving and work so well together. First before they say we were a cute couple they would say powerful family oriented couple.
I feel absolutely terrible for that little sister & little brother of April. Those 2 kids depended on her for stability. She was the only thing left that they had, that was the closest thing to their mom. & he snatched that away from them. When they were living with them when they were 1st married, I feel like there is so much more to the story as to why they got sent away to live with relatives, & I want to know the reason behind it.
Why would not he take things away if he eanted to stage a robbery? Is not it strange? On an other hand the robber could just freak out of what he did...
He is the most dangerous type of narcissist that exists...that is...one who can feign humility and/or sadness and actually fool someone else... I have little doubt that he would victimize anyone who stands in his way...
His mimicking of genuine emotion really is cringe. We as actual humans and not psychopaths recognize this guy’s phony grieving act IMMEDIATELY. But I think in his charming, courting, grooming mode he was probably quite convincing to naive women. 🤮
I must be gullible and naive. I didn't think he sounded like a narcissist or murderer during his speaking. I was really surprised when they said he did a search about shooting himself.
Before the evidence started piling against him, I thought he was innocent. He is a very good actor. And the fact that he was cheating on her and at first lied about it, made it clear he could not be trusted. He was a liar. Now I am convinced he is a narcissist psychopath. A wolf in sheep's clothing. I'm glad the jury prayed for wisdom.
He is so guilty it’s written all over his face. He said he didn’t want to go knocking on people’s door because he didn’t want to wake them…What kind of man considers other’s feelings when it comes to his wife’s life? A man who truly loves his wife would have stepped in front of the assailant and possibly died trying to protect her. The fact that he was shot 4 times on areas that were not life threatening, but April’s shot was fatal. What kind of robber shoots their victim and not take anything??? 🤦🏻♀️ RIP April.
April was so very beautiful. And how very tragic that she was taken far too soon ❤. And what an incredible young Lady she raised her siblings after her Mum sadly passed away to Cancer. This is so heartbreaking and deeply unfair. 😢 This case rang a bell with me when I realised I had heard of it before, some years ago. It's difficult to imagine that Justin could have done this to April, but obviously all evidence points to him. My heart aches for her Siblings because they have been through enough heart ache. And then to lose their inspirational Sister April who was their rock through traumatic times is dreadful.
I actually grew up next door to April. Patty helped to raise me as well. When this happened we were so sad. I was pretty young, but my family always believed he did it.
Yes, it was Harold's death, as I watched him a lot on 48,hours..that made me take my asthma much more serious, especially after I was found unconscious beside my bed one morning..He was a amazing man, and his nephew is a reporter too , he was so cut up talking about his uncle.
After the first 5 minutes in I can say I remember this in real time. Justin is trying really hard to convince himself and the Interviewer that he's innocent but he fails miserable. This was also on a episode of "Forensics Files" and/or on another crime show.
He looks like hes trying so hard to convince people he feels bad, the way his eyebrows are throughout this entire interview are more like someone who is pleading for another to believe them rather than someone who is genuinely mourning. Something about how he talks and looks during this interview just seems completely disingenuous.
10:25 While explaining the horror he felt there is literally a smile crossing his face... In the same second he realizes that and tries to hide it with forcing to turn corners of his mouth down. I was shocked to see that.
I thought I might have been reading too much into it but I saw it too! According to The Body Language Guy it's called "duping delight", which is a tell - it's joy at the thought that one might have gotten away with a lie.
Wow, thanks for pointing it out. Didn't spot it the first time around. He was re-living in his mind what happened that night, and for those few seconds he just couldn't contain his joy for what he did. Absolutely chilling to watch. If you pause at 10:28 you see a look of absolute bliss.
The tears welling up while he stares dead ahead, no attempt to clear them or collect himself, just unbroken eye contact. It's unsettling, like he's trying too hard to come across as sincere by not looking away, but it feels unnatural.
Let's us not forget, he forgot his cellphone at home that night too. I bet money he drove one direction to throw the gun then drove back the other direction before getting help. The jury got it right. And, I love how they prayed about it before
Right , then passes a million places he could have stopped at. But keeps driving 10 miles. That's a long way to go when you been shot 4 times . ..and you left your wife in the beach. This one was obvious...and .. the thing about him wearing his wedding ring around his neck. That dude did that for show and nothing else. But he didn't count on ppl thinking that was no it sincere , cause he's a raging narcissist!!!
It’s a very sad story. I am glad for the jury’s decision. First of all , they both were so young, with no children why he bought a $2,000,000 life insurance for her ? If anything happened to his young wife, he still could work , he has the capability to survive without his wife income . He planned it .
Another thing I found strange about his story was the walk on the beach. Not sure why she would want to take a nighttime walk on the beach with him when she wanted to divorce him. I can see them going to dinner to discuss things, but not a nighttime walk on the beach unless he somehow persuaded her to go under false circumstances. He lied about so many things, so might have made up a reason for her to go down there with him. So sad.
not me and my partner looking at each because we love walking on the beach at night 👀 tbh it quite romantic and fun when you're alone with the person you love at night
I wondered aboutt that too after they said she was leaving him why she would go on a walk on the beach with him. Maybe he said he wanted to talk about things, maybe promised to change or get help for the marriage. Guess we'll never know.
April was beautiful not just on the outside, but beautiful on the inside, as well. Her calling to help cancer patients after her mother's death makes me think of some of the best nurses in the profession who came to nursing in the same way. God Bless April's family.

His family is crazy to think he’s innocent. I can understand not wanting to believe it, but wow. Reaching. Sorry to everyone for their losses all around. Crazy how much pain one person’s act of greed and selfishness can run the lives of so many other people.
From first-hand experience, at first you just CAN'T believe this person you love would do a horrible thing. Then, things start seeping into your brain, memories of things they said and did, lies, justifications. Sometimes the truth comes in slowly. And it makes you sick, sick, sick.
I know I saw that too , for some reason that doctor they brought seemed biased to me , the way he was saying things , felt like he was trying to help his lawyers .
I remember this heartbreaking case. April deserved so much better than having her life taken far too soon by this monster! My thoughts and prayers are with April’s family and loved ones. Rest in peace April. 💗
I was born in Seattle in 1973, where I grew up. Japanese-American. Male. Stories involving Washington, Oregon, and British Columbia resonate with me the most, because I can place myself at the scenes of the crimes. For those who haven't seen this case on Forensic Files, it's a great watch!
So despicable! I remember this case. The jury gave him what he said they should give the murderer. The judge saved his life. Wonder if he is even grateful..

This was morbidly fascinating to watch. The first couple minutes while going in with no information I found him really convincing. Then, as it became clear this wasn’t the direction this is going, his acting was so painfully obvious. What a horrible, callous person.
I’m glad I watched this without reading comments first. Because he had me convinced up until the 10 mile drive and then of course the internet search sealed it for me
I think the thing is, a little bit of crying and voice breaking when reliving or telling particularly emotive details is totally normal so at first you think "ok, so they've started with a bit where he is struggling". But the entire interview is like that, with weird almost-crying. This isn't a police interview straight after the event, it's months later and I've never seen a sincere person act like this.
In the beginning I thought that Justin was innocent. He cried and said he loved his wife April. But in the court room the Google search he made were terrifying. How could he do something like this to an innocent person. It's so heart breaking to see innocent people getting murdered for no reason. At least he should have thought about her two siblings.
You would think the unknown assailant would immobilize him before killing his wife... 🤔 His wounds, although painful, seem to be very calculated. Also, the driving 9 miles seems like a time wasting tactic. This reminds me a bit of the Diane Downs case; she took time getting help after "being attacked," and she also shot herself.
As a "detective", I would have checked along the road...all 9 miles...for the weapon. It's got to be there somewhere. Just a hunch. Yeah this fella is guilty. Glad they didn't give him the easy route via death penalty...he will live out his miserable life with his guilty conscious in his little cell...God works in mysterious ways...Amen.
@@kellyismyname777 I wondered myself if the side roads were searched and I was really wishing the interviewer would ask him about the internet searches.

@@dlyras Why? Buying a life insurance policy is best done when you are young while it is cheap. And it makes sense if you own a house and have bills. And once you have kids it is even more important to carry it. And it may sound a bit morbid but my wife and I agreed that if either of us die we might as well make some money from the death so the other could carry on comfortably and without worry.
Omg the way he asks "Have you ever been kicked by a horse?" is just so cringe, and such a classic narcissistic thing to do. Narcissists will choose extreme circumstances and examples so that they can seem like they're trying to relate while also keeping the roadblocks up and keeping you distracted with trying to empathize so you don't think logically and won't smell their BS.
I think Mr Dow was about to laugh also. So cringe 😅😂
It’s shocking how people can lie so easily. I’m glad the jury saw right through him.
I’m not lol. I’ve been watching too many of these .
He very well may have done it, but what actual direct evidence did they have to prove it? Those jurors failed. They made a judgement based on their opinions, suppositions, and emotions. There was more than enough reasonable doubt for him to be innocent.
@@slicedbread5692i agree, you only convict if there’s no doubt. So many innocent people are convicted and then proven innocent years later
@@timothymccrary442 you're absolutely correct. It's as if people have completely forgotten about being innocent until proven guilty and the concept of reasonable doubt.
@@slicedbread5692 It seems like often there is reasonable doubt but the husband or wife often gets convicted because there is no other suspect . That being said since the jurrors prayed about it as a Christian i would have more confidence in their verdict than if they had not prayed about it.

It’s amazing that all four shots ended up superficial and non threatening while his wife’s were just fatal!

I think he is a stud and his last gf was such a hottie. His wife gained weight and she didn’t age well so he fell out of love. That’s any man tho
It’s a very sad story. I am glad for the jury’s decision. First of all , they both were so young, with no children why he bought a $2,000,000 life insurance for her ? If anything happened to his young wife, he still could work , he has the capability to survive without his wife income . He planned it .
Yea, that is when aunty should probably have said to April, get out now he is dangerous.
Why he didn't have a life insurence for himself??
Another thing I found strange about his story was the walk on the beach. Not sure why she would want to take a nighttime walk on the beach with him when she wanted to divorce him. I can see them going to dinner to discuss things, but not a nighttime walk on the beach unless he somehow persuaded her to go under false circumstances. He lied about so many things, so might have made up a reason for her to go down there with him. So sad.
He could have pointed a gun at her and forced her to go down the beach with him.
not me and my partner looking at each because we love walking on the beach at night 👀 tbh it quite romantic and fun when you're alone with the person you love at night
I agree. As her aunt (who is a judge) said it was planned and all set up by him.
I wondered aboutt that too after they said she was leaving him why she would go on a walk on the beach with him. Maybe he said he wanted to talk about things, maybe promised to change or get help for the marriage. Guess we'll never know.

Now justin is qualified to go to hollywood, or into politics.
In the beginning I thought that Justin was innocent. He cried and said he loved his wife April. But in the court room the Google search he made were terrifying. How could he do something like this to an innocent person. It's so heart breaking to see innocent people getting murdered for no reason. At least he should have thought about her two siblings.
When he started talking it was enough for me. If he was telling the truth it was the worst interviews I ever heard.

Anyone who says their goal in life is to be a CEO is probably a psychopath.
