@@MimeswithRhymes Both excellent games if you ask me, i like this one a bit more but very close, avp2 is a gem no doubt about it but man i love what they did with this game with modern feel, excellent game and also amazing and very fun multiplayer, i seen some hate on this game when comparing to legendary avp2 but i just don't get the hate at all.

Considering how blown away I was as a kid when they remastered the first two Halo games, I’d happily pay top dollar and a kidney if the same was done with this game. Still a masterpiece as it is, though.

Such an underrated gem! Both this and 1999-2000 ones are masterpieces. They always talk about Alien Isolation bein' awesome and they're completely right but still...AvPs deserve full credit among the best Alien franchise tie-ins!

Always loved Tequila's approach to first aid. Rookie's been hit in the head, knocked out, potential concussion. Remedy? Hit him in the head to bring him round. Nice.
11:00 i love the detail of the blue dot showing your teammates, and as they die, they disappear just as the door opens.
Me and my brother when we were pre teens had this game the marine campaign freak me out a bit mostly because of the face huggers jump at you out of nowhere and also the creepy laugh the predators make.
I'd get so mad trying to locate those face huggers in the dark lol. And yeah the predator voice was super eerie. I just wish the marine got to fight the predator more than 1 time.

And if we had to choose a side, I would choose the marine side because yes, the aliens and predators are strong but sometimes marines aka humans survive through all that
I still play this and it still outdoes a lot of games. Hell, I think it’s better than Aliens: Fireteam Elite by a long shot.

literally the best alien game
i used to play this for thousands of hours as a kid and many games these days attempt horror by using cheap jumpscares,irony or just "trying to spook you" with this game it has the perfect formula, despite having powerful guns and tech, the atmosphere, the aliens ai even, and the loud pinging radar and feeling of absolute dread and isolation creates a horror experience like nothing ive ever played. As alot of people in the comments agree a remaster if done right would be extraordinary, a man can dream as they say 😅
Now we just need an Alien vs Predator vs Engineer game
Nice to see how the three campaigns are interconnected. A pity the Alien ending implies our human character gets screwed later.
Edit: the intro makes it a bit confusing to realize your character is the black dude that looks at the camera before landing.
2nd edit: seems that no Alien and Marine end up in different ships. Good, i wouldn't want a "horror movie bad ending" for him after going through all that.
Nah, thats not the same ship at all, just recheck the endings, alien ending the predator nuke hasn't gone of yet, at the marine one it has, alien campaign ends before the middle of the marine campaign, so no, the alien ending dosen't imply anything like that.
The alien got shipped to a Weyland Yutani ship, the Rookie has gone to a Marine one

Still can't forget the nightmarish days spent on Marine highest difficulty to get Platinum for this on PS3
I was upset back then, because I believe the only trophy I had to get was the Alien Nightmare finish. I can't remember entirely what happened but something happened to the disk at the time and I didn't have the extra money to replace it, I have it on Steam now but... without working servers I can never do that again. It would have been one of the few games I had that I 100 percent completed.

This game still to me has the best and most flourished Alien AI ever. It climbs quickly, and in different angles. Whil3 also being able to dodge and attempt to avoid damage. The human enemies(androids) are the most annoying but I reason why that is, is because the Alien AI is just to good it gets the most attention in detail while humans(androids) are meh

this game was awesome at its time. 3 Campains 1 Multiplayer with all 3 races. Marines also had a Wave mode were you need to survive multiple waves was great fun with friends. 2 Action Campains with aliens and 1 Horror Campain wich was awesome (The Constant peeping of the movement tracker was giving much feel to it when you think your alone then you suddenly track something in the walls or dark). i sadly couldnt buy the dlcs because of the region lock that came 1 week after release or so glad i preorded the game and still was allowed to keep in steam. i realy hope they create a new AVP with all 3 races Campain + MP

was completely scared shitless when I first tried marine at 8-9💀, I legit didn’t play it until I had a older cousin play it and it gave me the confidence to try😂
This game was awesome, all 3 of the campaigns were unique in their own way, both alien and predator, you felt like a monster hunting down your prey but as a marine you felt pretty helpless.

Now this was a fun one.
Cool game, fun and interesting. One large complaint was the marine campaign you only fight 1 predator. The fight was good but I kept anticipating another one to show up down the line like in that sweet jungle area but nothing ever did.
I wish they would make one where you play as a your personal character a colonial marine or rogue weyland yuttani security or merc and you wake up from cryo to find out your ship or colony has been taken over by xenomorphs and there are predators actively hunting you through the ship or colony with a more dead space atmosphere with a little doom 3 style of combat with a classic call of duty controls and before each mission you get to slect a loadout but also give the player the ability to switch between first person and 3rd person camera and make it co op 4 player minimum that would be so sick
I played this when it first came out and still enjoy this game, AVP2 and the expansion where my favorite's, didn't enjoy the first one though

We need a new Alien game, with open (ish) levels, good gunplay, and it being scary like Isolation. I'm almost 100% positive that it would be the greatest, most immersive Alien game ever.

This has the biggest feel change. Unlike the others that allow you to go guns a blazing you play as a human and sometimes it gets dark and seriously this is the horror campaign unlike the other ones.

I remember I played this thing back in 2011 and I was scared as hell to play as the human at the time I was 8 and I never realized I never finished the campaign until about 6-7 years later so I completed it and it was fun as helll

I just play this game and when i try the marine campaign i was like "yeah nope,nuuh"
And when i try predator campaign i was like "is this action game ? Dang kinda cool"
You can really see some promising aspects of this game. It clearly suffers from the 2010's console-ization trends, and infinite gun ammo in a horror game is not a design choice I can condone, but there's so much good here. I think this was ultimately (the marine campaign anyway) a very underrated game.

I assume the Typhoon is some sort of ship and riding shotgun usually means a front row seat

I got completely screwed in the final boss fight with Weyland. I only had 30 bullets with the smart gun left so I ditched for two other weapons, only to be blasted by Weyland's overpowered shot gun and when I respawned I suddenly had the smart gun with only 30 bullets again, which isn't even to kill him. So I have to keep running, shooting and then hopefully find a weapon to swap out. But of course it also spawned me WITHOUT med packs. Not that they work in this fight since he can kill you faster than your slow ass can use them.
The motion sensor sound got me on edge so hard, just everywhere but nothing insight.

Great playthrough, although honestly the constant breaks in gameplay to listen to voice recordings broke the flow of the game for me in a lot of places, and actually got a bit annoying after a while.

So which campaign is supposed to come first if you plan on playing it in order?
I believe the "Order" Would be the Alien campaign as it happens prior to the Predators and Marines coming to the planet. Technically Predator would be second with Marines following last. But truth be told aside from Alien being the starting point due to it going through the start of the infestation, there isn't any real "order" to the campaigns as all three are connected to each other in some way or the other.
