That's great !!! I live nearby.. I will have to check it out. It's a good size place I haven't spent much time down that way. I always head to Pa. It's amazing up there....
I've been to over 50 parks. It's an addiction.
Are the crystals a nice size ? Happy hunting😉

I live in Central Maryland and am so interested in rock hounding but I can never find minerals. Is there any place you could recommend. Also I really am looking for agates. Very little information on Maryland rockhounding.

I also live in Maryland. I always find myself going to Pa. The Parks and waterways Are Amazing? I've been to over 30 parks between Maryland and PA.
It is hard finding good specimens.
I always look for crystals, amethyst, geodes, fossils and Indian artifacts. I've found many Indian artifacts when I was not looking for them. Many of them I didn't know they were Indian artifacts until 15 years later when I learned more about them. Found hundreds of garnets. Still looking for the mother load. But I don't think it will be in Maryland. I llivr North Central Maryland, of the PA Line....

Go along the bay area where there are lots of hiking trails along creeks. Creeks can be the best way to get quartz especially.

@@LHRtv1 I was watching a video of a youtuber in mid md at an old quarry was pulling out geodes . He said he's found softball size geodes there. He even gives the town. You probably know the town. Very popular in civil war. But I've never tried the spot.

Your side of the bay has galena,a lead sulfide mineral used as lead ore,and in md the galena can contain 2-5% pure silver
You can make jewelery out of it
