- There are hundreds of gangs in GTA series. Here I've added the main/prominent gangs in each game and basic information about them which will be helpful for you when interacting with them.

The most dangerous gangs in all GTA: police, SWAT and the military😂
1992 SAPD and 2001 LCPD is the most annoying one..... 2001 LCPD dgaf when the gang is hostile and open fire nearby them but when Claude retaliate their commitment to catch him is beyond amazing and SAPD when CJ is too far they will open fire to him lol

@JM1993951 Nah, not really. All gangs in GTA IV dress as if they're random pedestrians. Spanish Lords surprisingly look the most like a gang. You can see them wearing Black and Gold Jerseys and Jackets.

Am I the only one who actually notice there is actually a lot of San Andreas references on GTA V? like Ballas member sometime can be heard discussing if Big Smoke is the backstabber to his own gang, Famillies member who talk on the phone can be heard saying "what's good CJ?" and Franklin and Lamar did talking about Grove Street Famillies though only briefly but still..... I'm genuinely shed tear of nostalgia when knowing that for the first time

After you capture all the hoods they will just say a hello to you and if you point a gun they run away. You can see three to four ballas in light green areas sometimes.

In GTA IV, some members from the Irish mob are often seeing hanging out in the Steinway Beer Garden. The Irish mob/gang is so underrated imo. They pulled an entire bank heist, robbed the mafia, kidnapped Ancelotti's daughter for diamonds.

It was everything, the story , the gangs, the mission, side mission, gameplay, concept, activities everything etc. Overall it was a great game and the greatest GTA
It was definitely the story line... obviously the missions were dramatized but gta SA was the most realistic storyline in the entire series. Corrupt policeman causing mischief and eventually destroying the hood was a real thing all across the country during that time.

I saw them going for a ride with 5 members and i was laughing and amazed at the same time i was on my sanchez and followed their trip very nice detail of the game. (The trip ended because they all crashed on a bridge while going fast) lol
I love how Rockstar made their own counterparts of irl gang:
Families - Crip/Hoovers (possibly some bloods inspirations here and there too)
Ballas - Mostly Bloods with few crips inspirations
North Holland Hustlers - A blood set of some sort.
Southside Hoods - Pirus/Vice Lords ( I would say Vice Lords since they wear black and red)
Spanish Lords - Latin Kings
Dominican Street Gang (TBOGT) - Trinitarios
Vagos - 18th Street
Aztecas - Surenos
Diablos - A Nortenos set of some sort
Rifas - San Francisco Nortenos
Da Nang Boyz - probably based on one of the irl asian gangs, not sure which one it is (Asian Boyz/Wah Ching, etc)
Marabunta Grande 13 - Mara Salvatrucha XIII

There were gangs in GTA 2 as well, you had to fight one to get respect from another, so you could unlock the best missions.
The mobsters on the first island in III are brutal. Later in the game (after you kill Salvatore) they agro you, and the ones armed with shotguns can blow up your car in one blast if you’re unlucky. I just avoid that part of the map entirely.

Yeah there are a lot more gangs in IV and V, people seem to forget The Professionals, Aztecas, Armenian mob, and Kkangpae are even a thing. But I guess it makes sense considering they have so little relevance in the story

You're missing three gangs from GTA V. There's the Aztecas that Trevor faced in one mission. There's the Triads that work for Wei Cheng that Franklin took out to save Michael. Then there's Madrazo cartel under Martin Madrazo that Michael and Franklin had a shoot out with before Martin forced Michael to pay for the house he destroyed.

It's ironic and depressing to see the Ballas controlling Grove Street in GTA V. I know that the new games after GTA IV are separate universes from the older games but it still makes me wonder if CJ and Grove Street eventually lost the war with the Ballas.

@@scottzummers2812 LOL, that ins't heavy, mate, that can cause some goosebumps on some edgy teen, but it doens't make people as unconfortable as it was to torture Mr.K, for example, now that was unconfortable violence, if you call heavy a game that doens't even has bullet holes, then you're really soft.
So agree with you. GTA 5 was a bummer for me. I often found myself staring at the HD world in awe at the beauty yet so bored I would often turn the game off and go back to an earlier GTA title. 5 had so much more potential IMO in story mode. That all got moved over to online I feel.

In GTA4, TBoGT and CTW, North Korean Gangs appear as well: Korean Mob in 4&TBoGT, and Midtown Gangsters (Wonsu Nodong 원수노동) in CTW.

The first Gang of Gta Sa, the name is only "The Families" but "Grove street" is the name of the neiborhood and the Clique. Other Clique is "Temple Drive" & "Seville boulevar"

You missed quite a bit of gangs in both GTA IV and GTA V
GTA IV you missed, Irish mob, Albanian mob, Triads, Jamaican gang, African American gang (in Firefly Projects and Acter), North Holland Hustlers, Korean mob, and Uptown Riders.
For GTA V you missed the Varrios Los Aztecas, Armenian mob, Russian mob, Altruist cult, The Professionals, Triads, Kkangpae, and I guess Merryweather.
Its amazing how many gangs actually existed in gta 3 alone
