Great playthrough! I am the designer and after watching your video I realized I had an error in the rulebook. At the end of a wave, in addition to the 1 free heal, you can also heal with any leftover armor. I corrected this in the rulebook now. Melee characters are always going to be a challenge, but this should make it at least a little easier because you have a better chance of starting the next wave with more health, and potentially catching up even if you take a lot of damage in a given wave (you just have to have a good next wave). This will make using abilities and letting monsters pass a little less penalizing and will hopefully open up some new strategies for you.
That's good to hear. It was brutally hard. Healing a bit more should be just the thing. Thanks for the game, it was fun times. Good luck in the contest.
@@VeselkoKelava Thank you!
@@joeklipfel3076 Thanks for bringing this game to us. It would easily become one of my all-time favourite PNP games.
@@KyawThurein Thanks for your kind words! I'm really happy you are enjoying it.
“Likely we’ll die, more likely we’ll die fast” 😂How I feel starting any new game. Ever the optimist!
Right, you gotta look on the bright side :D
Just downloaded it looks great!
Good luck! You'll need it 😁
@@VeselkoKelava Love this game its awesome!
one of the Best free games i've ever played, thanks for showing :)
Many thanks for the playthrough: seems to be a beautifully looking and difficult game with few components - everything you could dream about:)
Thank you for the playthrough! I just printed the low ink version and I'm loving it
That's great, I'm glad to hear that. Did you also feel it plays similar to Set a Watch, or is it just me?
@@VeselkoKelava There's definitely a Set a Watch feel, the iconography especially, that's what initially drove me to try it out and I gotta say it's great
I have the cards printed out in black and white after watching your playthrough. By the way, the fifth round with the boss is quite brutal indeed.
It sure is. But check the newest version of rules, designer informed me there are some changes that might make it more manageable.
Oh. really? Thanks a lot. I will check that out. I am glad that I found your channel. Previously, I didn't have a chance to explore PNG games.
Great video, thanks! In 15:57, when you used the ability I guess you should have turned one of your "12" cards ninety degrees, that is, use it, no? Also, in 16:20 I think the forest dragon only defeats visible creatures, not all creatures in the deck. Just checking, I am in the process of learning the rules.
Hi, I did use one of my strength cards right before. And yes the effects only work on visible cards, not all cards. Thank you for watching
@@VeselkoKelava Thank you for the prompt reply. Yes, you used the 4 to activate the ability, but I guess the 12 should also be flipped over because it was used to actually beat the phantom. Anyway, thanks for the very useful video: great pace, great light, sound and camera angle.
Set a Watch Is One of our favorite games ever :D hopeully this one's good
amazing game
Nice artwork but it sounds like a tough game to beat.
Hey I just mentioned this in an above comment, but after watching this video I realized I had an error in the rulebook. It is now corrected in the rules and should open up some new strategies that make the game (marginally) less difficult.
Awesome artwork and efficiency using a limited number of cards. Also looks very hard to beat...I'm curious, whats the expected win % ?
Well, there was a fix made to the rule book, now you can heal a bit more at the end. So, a bit higher than it would seem 😁
My win rate varies a lot based on normal vs hard difficulty and melee vs ranged characters. When I was starting out I think I was about 50% with ranged characters and 20-30% with melee on normal mode. Once you get some of the character-specific strategies down you should improve quickly though!
