I've always assumed that adds and such, are generally a ranged dps responsibility as they typically have less downtime switching targets - I don't understand why so many ranged are guilty of tunnelling.
Steven Cox I only do lfr when i am bored. And i afk most of the time in it and read the chat and laugh at all the autists in the grp. Am 11/11hc too lazy to go mythic atm.
I LOVE your channel. Dont know how missed you before but this is exactly the kind of thing I like. A concise list, super helpful, and interesting. Thanks!
I like when people post "selling Ahead of the Curve carry" and say "link your Ahead of the Curve achievement to join". Why would anyone need a carry if they've done it already?
Agreed!! The only downside to the free ones is that you may not get in right away. It could take weeks for your name to be called. Having said that, when PerkyPugs did the Friendship Moose runs, EVERYONE that wanted a moose and was part of the community got one before the moose were removed. And I do mean everyone. There were multiple streams towards the end of the expansion where there were simply no people to give a moose to. Everyone already had it. So so long as you have patience, you WILL get your Spellwing! :D
Guilds asking that much should be threatened by blizzard. No typical wow play just accumulates 250k gold in any quick fashion. I was back in game for 3 months and barely netted 60k casually. I didn't focus on selling mats, or crafting and selling or spending all my free time on daily's because here in real life i work and do things. So yeah its great there are guilds willing to go out of their way to bring enjoyment to players instead of just demand everything they'll ever make from them. Guilds like that are pretty much the reason I don't play wow anymore though. The game is more about wealth and elitism them fun.
best part ( yea...sarcasm) is when you need to dodge the cone and most stack and go right, but at least two go left and thus leaving themselves nowhere to move to by the time he does the cone the third time.
I can definitely recommend the FriendshipBirb EU Horde group. Entered the raffle, got selected, and got my bird without any hassle whatsoever. They were well organised both in Discord and in game, gave clear instructions, and were very smooth and professional.
PSA: I don't think they Blizzard will ever let us farm pet charms as quickly anymore as in Legion. With enough alts you can easily make over 1000 a week just from world quests. So if you are like me and don't want to level any pets in BfA by hand, you will need to farm 9000 charms to buy 200 Ultimate training stones. Provided they don't give us more new pets than we got during Legion. Maybe even farm a few extra for purchases at the pet-shop.
For anyone concerned particularly with the mage towers, my suggestion is roughly the same as hazel's. However, there are some things that can vary greatly with how well you might do with these mage towers. Like she says in the video by this point even LFR antorus gear should more than enough to get the job done but how much more gear you're going to want will/should change depending on what spec ur working with For example: all healers except for disc priests (they have fel totem mage tower) have the same erdris thorn mage tower challenge and the thing about this challenge is that out of all the other mage towers, it is the longest. On top of that it takes considerably more gear to essentially "carry" you through it, because unfortunately the task at hand is like healing an lfr grp that is about to wipe. basically, the npc's you are given to heal are like paper. so while the dps mage towers and even the tank mage towers might become fairly simple around 915-930 ilvl, the healer mage tower will probably still be fairly rough until about 950 or more simply because of the sheer dmg intake of the npc's you have to keep alive As i said for the dps mage towers your best bet for ez mode is around 915-930+ ilvl, there are some discrepancies, like for example a shadow priest is a spec that is far more dependent on appropriate secondaries otherwise you need upper 950 ilvls just to pull off the proper dmg. While a WW monk will probably be able to do their mage tower at ilvls as low as 880 (im not even joking WW monks are broken) so be aware of those limitations. As for the tanks i'd say its about the same as the dps, 915-930+ ilvl. The only difference is that due to blizzards genius it ends up being better to build for dmg as you gear to do these mage towers rather than for dmg mitigation. I know that sounds crazy, but any tanks who have done the mage tower will tell you that it is far better to get things down fast then to just survive (a lot of times just the higher gear alone is enough to survive)
This applies to the assumption that (most likely anyway) you would be doing these minus good/proper legendaries and even tier gear. And since this is more of a rough type of guide my other suggestion similar to hazel's is that when looking up guides go for things that are recent as possible. With the number of hotfixes and outright changes, things are vastly different from when the mage towers were released, so the same guides MIGHT not hold true to what you need. Additionally, I feel it necessary to point out the easiest to most challenging mage towers with their respective easiest to hardest specs to execute them with: easiest mage tower: Thwarting the twins: easiest spec - frost mage next spec - marksman hunter next spec - balance druid next spec - shadow priest hardest spec- Affliction warlock (now some of u might add that with the infernal/voidwalker glitch u can just have the pet tank karam making this about as easy as the shadow priest MAYBE easier but im unsure if they've fixed it or not otherwise i hope you have corruption ring) Next mage tower: Feltotem: easiest spec: disc priest (obviously because this is a healer spec in a dps mage tower where there is no enrage timer, just take your time and BAM free skin :P ) next spec: Windwalker monk (i'd honestly almost place this one above disc priest but since their heals are limited you still need to be more careful technically) next spec - destro lock (again lack of mobility and damage dealing combination that gets these guys here) hardest spec - beast mastery hunter (granted you dont have regenerative legendaries otherwise taking any extra dmg could mean death in this one you must be immaculate in answering the mechanics) Next mage tower: agatha easiest spec - unholy dk next spec - feral druid next spec - fire mage next spec - elemental shaman next spec - fury warrior hardest spec - outlaw rogue? (all specs with a question mark after them indicate my lack of that mage tower completion and therefore am unsure of how difficult it is) Next mage tower: Sigryn easiest spec - ret paladin next spec - enhancement shaman next spec - assassination rogue? next spec - arcane mage hardest spec - demo lock (literally least mobile class in the game minus their tele abilities and since they cant deal dmg during the use of those spells and when moving, it can make this challenge difficult to find openings for when to deal dmg giving its place as hardest to do this challenge imo) Next mage tower: Xylem (shadow thing) easiest spec: havoc demon hunter (this one admittedly can be more difficult but only if u try it with ilvl lower than the suggested ilvl above) next spec: arms warrior next spec: survival hunter next spec: subtlety rogue? hardest spec: frost DK? (mobility being a big factor in this challenge is what gets these guys here) Next mage tower: Tank one (i forgot the damn demons name X( ) easiest spec: Vengeance demon hunter (literally so easy its bullshit) next spec: prot warrior (this spec had a harder time earlier on for anyone who disagrees, it is currently roflstomping this challenge) next spec: prot pally (this one might be the same as the warrior if it werent for the warriors ability to jump back on to stage from knock backs) next spec: guardian druid - (this one gets easier than prot war/pally with the right legos) next spec: brew master monk? - (tbh im unsure entirely if this one is this hard i just havent done it yet) hardest spec: Blood DK? - (now i know this one technically has some of the highest self heal but lack of mobility is killer in this mage tower) Hardest (bullshit) mage tower: Erdris Thorn Easiest spec Mistweaver monk? (i havent even done this one yet and i know it will be the easiest their heals are broken) next spec: holy pally next spec: holy priest (could be easier than pally i unfortunately did this one with a lower ilvl than the pally and that might have biased my opinion a little more here) next spec: resto druid (these guys despite being healing over time healers are here at this rung because of, again, how hard your allies get hit, you end hard casting actual heals over hots just to keep them alive) hardest spec: resto shaman? (again im actually kinda unsure at this point the current average gear levels could mean this is actually easier i just know that shamans typically arent well suited for smaller groups and are better for raids) I apologize if im missing a spec but there does appear at posting this that i have included all 36 specs 27 of which i have completed following the rough guide i have provided and i hope it helps you tremendously. I do remind those of you again that legendaries might make this list seem bad and my listing is entirely based of having random legendaries rather than the proper ones considering most mage tower farmers are only going to have good legos on their mains and maybe some of their alts. The placement of the mage towers is a little rough im sure that some of u might find that the twins one might be the hardest for you, i would however state that i find it to be the easiest because it technically has the least to answer until the challenge is basically already done so with the gear level suggestions stated above, you should absolutely wreck it. from agatha to xylem mage towers im honestly unsure they're all kinda close in difficulty so i'd pay more attention to the rankings of the specs withing them. I absolutely believe that healer mage tower is the hardest due to how punishing it can be if u get to the last stage and fail. It is a long and annoying mage tower and it is specifically why i state that it takes much higher ilvl (minus legos and tier) to actually "carry" the challenge to easy mode.
Probably the most helpful two comments I've seen yet. I want to do Mage Tower on as many of my alts as I can since I like the Mage Tower appearances, and I'll be prioritizing all Paladin specs above everything else. Now I know to dread the Holy one. I managed one Mage Tower on my Feral druid, but only because I had Luffa wrappings and I was at 917 ilvl. Without either, I would've lost. Probably because I'm dumb. I was never the best at minding mechanics. I'm honestly not sure how I'm going to manage getting even half of my alts' Mage Towers done before bfa. Maybe I'm just overreacting. I just really don't know how I'm going to get that high of an ilevel for my healing specs.. Most of my classes are around 900-915..
I am glad if this has been a good starting place for your appearances, however, i apologize if the healer one seems intimidating. I think I was only really stating that in order for that particular mage tower (erdris thorn) to be a joke you would probably need sub heroic ilvls. I think that in the end if you're diligent and you can stomach many attempts you will definitely get it down. I think ill dedicate this space to the erdris thorn mage tower (again this won't be a particularly detailed guide for any spec pls search for those respective guides here on youtube or wowhead) So, heres the thing about Erdris Thorn mage tower, as stated above, the NPC's and you(a typical 5 man party minus 1) are not too tanky. They are going to get hit very hard so it would behoove you to probably get an addon in order to re-position their frames where you can keep a better eye on them (google wow addons), now for me personally i dont use any addons but DBM and recount (thats what happens when you dont play with addons for nearly 10 years, you just get used to base UI). The trickiest thing about this mage tower is that you dont want to just sit there and heal when they take dmg. Things might go badly if you dont assist in the damage dealing which can seem a bit hectic because you will still need to keep a hawk's eye on those NPC's health bars. This is why i suggest an addon for more noticeable frames for the NPC's. This is also why i suggest such high ilvls in order for the gear to be able to carry or make it a joke. I struggled with this one a lot and it was bad enough that i even resolved not to do it again after i completed it the first time with my druid, but that was only because i had taken such a long break from maining healer (after having done so from wrath to MoP). Not too long after that i decided to get it done on the holy priest and then the following week i got it done on the pally. I hope i provided you with something helpful, i promise you once you've done each different mage tower at least once, i think you'll find them THAT much easier to do on other alts as i have.
Let me just take this opportunity to thank you for your videos. I am a newly returning player and would have had no clue about the Underlight angler artifact (have it already thanks to you!) had I not stumbled across your video on it. I find your videos informative and voice is very soothing so thanks! Also, you are insanely attractive to me. Greetings and many thanks from an expat in Cambodia. ))
Don't forget that "The Chosen" also apparently includes the mythic armor set for your type- so you will want to get the achieve four times on different characters if you plan on accessing those transmog sets.
Field medic took me so long to do. But the thing is i never farmed it...i just did it when ever i got the quest item i did not have before for the ach over a rly rly long period of time.
Note for weapon appearances. The base Mage Tower will no longer be able to be unlocked in BfA but if you have the base you can unlock the others. the only other one you can't unlock in BfA is the mythic 15 color change the rest in that tier will stil be unloackable.
Mage tower is my only goal, so far I've obtained half of them. I'll share some tips! 1. Be 890 ilv asap, so you'll join rf antorus. 2. Gear up with rf and fill empty slots with relinquished 910. 3. Your leggies will be the free ring by killing rf argus and another one you'll buy/drop while gearing up. 4. Now you should be 930+, with 2/4 set bonus.. go for it! 5. Once you get appearance for ms, just buy relics and go for os! 6. Gear up 2-3 alts at same time to maximize profit :)
Thank you for an exceptionally informative and helpful video, if it's any consolation the guardian mage tower has been slaughtering me for a while but eh I'll beat it soon, thankfully got the Feral one already, hope you crushed the heals one by the time you read this!
I finished Field Medic within 2 days. First I had to level my first aid to 790 (the last 10 points you get from the quests) Make sure you have all the items needed to complete the quests and learned all the recipies. I used the custom group finder, this goes way faster then doing it on ur own. I farmed 2 hours at aszuna, 2-3 hours in suramar, 3-4 hours in stormheim, 1-2 hours in highmountain and 1 hour in valshara. Ofcourse its all rng since i met a guy who was farming for 1 quest for 8 hours... bless his soul.
Is the feral/bear druid gonna keep special looking forms while transmoging into the artifact weapon? I guess not since Fandal's thingy for druids didn't do the trick.
I've deleted some 20-odd of those first aid quests earlier in legion when doing broken isle WQs was still a thing. Had no idea there was an achievement tied to them.
Don't forget Talon's Vengeance rep! Like Fire Watcher, I imagine this will be much harder if not impossible to do once everyone has left the Broken Isles.
That resto druid challenge footage brought back some bad memories. Dying on that phase is one of the most frustrating things I have ever experienced in this game and I have experienced it more times than I care to admit.
Just a note here. Field medic title is sadly not account wide at this moment so if you want it on multiple chars you might have to do whole thing few times. I know this because i did it on my main and non of alts can use it. Even ones with 800 first aid.
Ion said in the last Q&A that they aren't planning on getting rid of or restarting the prestige levels. He said that they just aren't going to add any more rewards to prestige, and that most future pvp mounts and titles will be distributed though other means. Prestige is just becoming a vanity thing. I'm still gonna get as far as i can though jic :D
I dought id get it as well with how slow my guild raid group is at raid progression. Hell. We just got normal argus on farm and we only raid once every saturday
So, i've done Argus heroic, got my bird, done the Chosen, did all the mage tower challenges for my death knight and got the mythic+ 15 skins, just need Field Medic now and i can finally relax before BfA pre-patch.
Hey Hazel, I was watching your G13 vs Orbweaver comparison. I was wondering if you could do a guide or some suggestions for keybindings, macros etc. I've had a G13 for a while and can't seem to get used to tabbing, jumping and using modifiers with it.
30/30 on my Mage Tower skins. Priest and Mage at lvl 60 range so I should be able to get the final 6. If not oh well staffs are meh to me. AOTC done awhile ago.
"Its ok to look at a thing, decide whether or not you want it" Holy shit I fall for this so many times... There's been so many times where I've done achievements solely for the sake of having them when I really didn't care all that much to even have them in the first place
I can't "out gear" the mage tower. I'm stuck at ilvl 940. My guild's pretty much non-existent. I've watched guides & tried a bunch of times. But I think the problem is me. I just can't seem to juggle all the stuff that goes on in those fights.
You mention the Mage tower challenge Artifact appearance going away but being able to attain other appearances in BFA. My question is what if I unlock the Mage appearance now but not all of the colour variations, will I for example be able to unlock the 10 rated bgs wins colour in BFA or do all the variants of the mage tower appearance need to be unlocked now? NVM, I found confirmation from WoW Devs twitter. UPDATE: If you unlock the Mage Tower's base appearance before the end of the expansion, you can obtain the color variants for that appearance post-Legion.
Does anyone know what Blizzard is going to be doing about the Legion class mounts? I'm hoping that they wouldn't be taken out, but they weren't even mentioned here so if anyone knows, that'd be dandy.
I was gonna go do the mage tower for my guardian druid, but after seeing the Kul Tiran human forms, I'm not bothered about it, I'll just race change since they are way cooler.
I am actually trying to grind out the last little bit of the first aid achievement. I primarily play healing specs and I really want that Field Medic title. I'm down to three remaining quests and it is killing me, lol.
Class Hall Gold Missions! WoD garrison gold missions disappeared with the legion expansion, so I assume these will disappear with the BfA expansion as well. So hoard your gold while you can!
Ion said that the pvp prestige rewards won't be removed in next expansion, in an interview with Lore. Also mage tower challenges can be outgeared so much that they're hardly a challenge anymore :)
Been farming pet charms for a while now, it's my go to WQ's on my toons. Also, Marks of honor when the WQ is up if you have not done so already. Because the marks are Bind on account, you can do it across all your toons on all the factions and just send it to one main toon (like I've been doing ;) If you want to go and buy pvp mounts, tmog appearances etc. I reckon blizz may just nerf that after a while. Also, probably a good idea to farm gold too. Any WQ up that gives gold and bring along your champion with you. Make sure he/she/it (elemental or whatever) has the champion resources set to the gold capturing ones. You can get an extra 95g per WQ ;) Mount is what I want to achieve before BfA. But everything else above also. Also, I love your hair, the colour is so vibrant :D xx
@Hazelnuttygames I might be wrong (didn't check it myself), but the Proving Grounds should scale with our item-level, so they might not be that easier to outgear as the M+15 or even the Mage Tower. / That First Aid one is really crazy, I farmed a lot of specific mobs for 3-5 hours and got no drop, dispite having the profession at 800 and all the recipes learned.
Yes, the PGs absolutely scale with ilvl, and the scaling doesn't appear to be broken in our favor. I'm a 960 rdruid and can't just cheese the endless healer PG. Mage tower felt easier to me, to be honest, because the breaks were longer and the NPCs I was healing weren't as squishy.
My current objective pre BFA is to get all of the mage tower appearances unlocked. Every class, every spec. I sometimes entertain the idea of all the prestige appearances, but I know I'll burn myself out forever on PvP, so that is extremely unlikely. Also, love the hair!
I' definitively getting every mage tower appearance for every class, but I' not sure about the recolors, they are a bit of a grind, and the same goes for any pvp appearance (tough I may, MAY do the first one of each class). I'm also not super sure about getting the titles or the +15 recolor on every class, but we'll see
Hey, Keep the good work :) I have a question, is the mage tower skin being removed in the pre patch? and if so, when it's the pre patch date? I've been trying to get it but its hard haha and want to know how much time I have left :S Thanks in advance!
Lovely cat u have there, sometimes I have to play WoW one handed cos one of my seven is usually ensconced in me arm asleep like a little baby hehe. Cats see WoW as not important as their cuddle time but luckily I have a CyberSnipa gamepad so still play whilst keeping the important things happening :)
Dumb question but I've been out of WoW for awhile now and I'm trying to get back in. Are Class Mounts still a thing? Are they gone or are they never leaving?
Aelythian I had some trouble clearing the small adds as Outlaw (0 legendaries ilevel 907). Consider using a Sylvan Elixir for +10% all stats, makes it a LOT easier.
Man, I wish I had the dedication and time to do HArgus and Mythics and such. I’m so under geared on my characters. I’ll probably check out that carry group you mentioned
Important about these buffs is in interaction betwen players. Does anyone remember how nice it was meeting some priest in some serious combat and after helping him you get buff as thanks, i did love it. I just hope that community will be less braindead and more well... alive in our world of warcraft. Interaction, Comunity, immersion those stuff makes MMORPG good. (And sorry bout my bad ENG have a nice day) :)
I want the final prestige courser, but that grind is killing me. I wish we'd get some confirmation or something from Blizz on what is going to happen with those rewards
Stephen S guardian druid is pretty tough, yeah. i think nihilo made a vid where he completed it with only 1 legendary on a boosted toon, maybe thatll help
The pet charms are still going to be easy. You can still get the shoulder enchant Boon of the Zookeeper. Even if they make the enchant max out at 110 you can stop leveling an alt at 110. All the important stuff is Bind on Account so you could mail them to yourself. Then you can aoe like mad in locations and farm a ton of stuff in short work.
hey hazel me and my son haven't played wow for 2 years and we just got back on and my son is trying to get the violet spellwing mount and he says that the cite that you have suggested in your video is inactive. He says that he played both mythic and herioc 25 player of the seat of pantheon raid but can seem to get the quest line for it, so any advice you could give me would be deeply appreciated.
Tried the Mage Tower once on a couple of toons when it first came out. Looked at the skins and said "To Hell with that!" Not worth the effort. Took a break from the game shortly after and recently returned. Have a Frost DK to 935 and a Frost Mage at 930. Both of them have their main spec weapons to 75. Considering giving it another go.
got one month sub just for the spellwing mount, tried the mage tower, but meh, its hard and i donno if its worth it, i mean i dont think i will use the shattered reckoning sword as a mog
I want that first aid one. But one drop is taking me forever. I've killed literally thousands of those blasted furbolgs that supposedly have the highest chance of dropping the quest, and nothing.
I started on this - spent 6 hours on the murlocs in Stormheim as they can drop all three items for Field Medic - got nothing. The next day, farming the Nightborne in Suramar with my fiance. He got his first within ten minutes of starting to farm them. After the hour and a half, within the space of 2 minutes, I'd gotten all three items, and a duplicate. RNG is strong with this achievement.
I had 858 itemlevel and level 16 artifact traits. HC Argus was not gonna happen for me so I paid a guild 100k to boost me, however I got the Spellwing mount :)
The +15 is a little more difficult than you made it out to be, its +15 and having done the Balance of Power quest, which involves whole lot of farming and doing normal mythic dungeons.
So, if the hype is all about what we are losing after BFA can you tell us anything good for Mages? I’m a casual player and have 110 level toons but I am lost on a lot of this anxiety of pre-BFA.

Hazelnuttygames if we obtain the default Mt appearance, will we be able to obtain, say, the 10 rated bg color in BFA?
0:35 rare footage of a ranged dps doing what needs to be done on argus
Nice vid too. Love from Bulgaria
I've always assumed that adds and such, are generally a ranged dps responsibility as they typically have less downtime switching targets - I don't understand why so many ranged are guilty of tunnelling.
You must spend to much time in LFR.
For a new player can you explain what a range dps should do

I like when people post "selling Ahead of the Curve carry" and say "link your Ahead of the Curve achievement to join". Why would anyone need a carry if they've done it already?
You must be mixing up groups when you see that because nobody does that.
Argus HC kills are damn expensive btw don't do it.
I said this few years ago, and I say it again. Watching your happy personality is such a joy, keep it up :)
I love that you put clips of destroying those orbs on Argus, more people need to be aware of these! Always the reason why my group wipes
Free runs for the Bird? They have restored my faith in the WOW community. My friends guild was going to charge me 250k.
Agreed!! The only downside to the free ones is that you may not get in right away. It could take weeks for your name to be called. Having said that, when PerkyPugs did the Friendship Moose runs, EVERYONE that wanted a moose and was part of the community got one before the moose were removed. And I do mean everyone. PSA: I don't think they Blizzard will ever let us farm pet charms as quickly anymore as in Legion. With enough alts you can easily make over 1000 a week just from world quests.

For anyone concerned particularly with the mage towers, my suggestion is roughly the same as hazel's. With the number of hotfixes and outright changes, things are vastly different from when the mage towers were released, so the same guides MIGHT not hold true to what you need.
Additionally, I feel it necessary to point out the easiest to most challenging mage towers with their respective easiest to hardest specs to execute them with:
easiest mage tower: Thwarting the twins:
easiest spec - frost mage
next spec - marksman hunter
next spec - balance druid
next spec - shadow priest
hardest spec- Affliction warlock (now some of u might add that with the infernal/voidwalker glitch u can just have the pet tank karam making this about as easy as the shadow priest MAYBE easier but im unsure if they've fixed it or not otherwise i hope you have corruption ring)
Next mage tower: Feltotem:
easiest spec: disc priest (obviously because this is a healer spec in a dps mage tower where there is no enrage timer, just take your time and BAM free skin :P )
next spec: Windwalker monk (i'd honestly almost place this one above disc priest but since their heals are limited you still need to be more careful technically)
next spec - destro lock (again lack of mobility and damage dealing combination that gets these guys here)
hardest spec - beast mastery hunter (granted you dont have regenerative legendaries otherwise taking any extra dmg could mean death in this one you must be immaculate in answering the mechanics)
Next mage tower: agatha
easiest spec - unholy dk
next spec - feral druid
next spec - fire mage
next spec - elemental shaman
next spec - fury warrior
hardest spec - outlaw rogue? (all specs with a question mark after them indicate my lack of that mage tower completion and therefore am unsure of how difficult it is)
Next mage tower: Sigryn
easiest spec - ret paladin
next spec - enhancement shaman
next spec - assassination rogue?
next spec - arcane mage
hardest spec - demo lock (literally least mobile class in the game minus their tele abilities and since they cant deal dmg during the use of those spells and when moving, it can make this challenge difficult to find openings for when to deal dmg giving its place as hardest to do this challenge imo)
Next mage tower: Xylem (shadow thing)
easiest spec: havoc demon hunter (this one admittedly can be more difficult but only if u try it with ilvl lower than the suggested ilvl above)
next spec: arms warrior
next spec: survival hunter
next spec: subtlety rogue?
hardest spec: frost DK? (mobility being a big factor in this challenge is what gets these guys here)
Next mage tower: Tank one (i forgot the damn demons name X( )
easiest spec: Vengeance demon hunter (literally so easy its bullshit)
next spec: prot warrior (this spec had a harder time earlier on for anyone who disagrees, it is currently roflstomping this challenge)
next spec: prot pally (this one might be the same as the warrior if it werent for the warriors ability to jump back on to stage from knock backs)
next spec: guardian druid - (this one gets easier than prot war/pally with the right legos)
next spec: brew master monk? - (tbh im unsure entirely if this one is this hard i just havent done it yet)
hardest spec: Blood DK? - (now i know this one technically has some of the highest self heal but lack of mobility is killer in this mage tower)
Hardest (bullshit) mage tower: Erdris Thorn
Easiest spec Mistweaver monk? (i havent even done this one yet and i know it will be the easiest their heals are broken)
next spec: holy pally
next spec: holy priest (could be easier than pally i unfortunately did this one with a lower ilvl than the pally and that might have biased my opinion a little more here)
next spec: resto druid (these guys despite being healing over time healers are here at this rung because of, again, how hard your allies get hit, you end hard casting actual heals over hots just to keep them alive)
hardest spec: resto shaman? (again im actually kinda unsure at this point the current average gear levels could mean this is actually easier i just know that shamans typically arent well suited for smaller groups and are better for raids)
I apologize if im missing a spec but there does appear at posting this that i have included all 36 specs 27 of which i have completed following the rough guide i have provided and i hope it helps you tremendously.
I think ill dedicate this space to the erdris thorn mage tower (again this won't be a particularly detailed guide for any spec pls search for those respective guides here on youtube or wowhead)
So, heres the thing about Erdris Thorn mage tower, as stated above, the NPC's and you(a typical 5 man party minus 1) are not too tanky.
Evil Tim I see. I'll be giving it a shot next time Mage Tower is up. Hopefully I won't get too frustrated. Thank you for your pointers. ^^
You got this :D
Let me just take this opportunity to thank you for your videos. I am a newly returning player and would have had no clue about the Underlight angler artifact (have it already thanks to you!) had I not stumbled across your video on it. I find your videos informative and voice is very soothing so thanks! Also, you are insanely attractive to me. Greetings and many thanks from an expat in Cambodia. ))
Thank you for the advice at the end of the video about figuring out what of these are important to you. I needed to hear that so much!
Thank you so much for shouting out our #FriendshipSpellwing community!
Big tip for everyone doing Artifact challenge is to make sure you have the DBM CHALLENGE add on downloaded and activated. This helps ALOT.
If you get the mage tower complete in Legion, the three alternative colors may be unlocked post-Legion and you will get the transmogs for them.
Proven defender title and mage tower challenge was hard as hell as a prot warrior.
But not giving up gets the job done.
I have to get this purple bird before bfa
We'd love to help you! Hazel was kind enough to link our website in the description and it gives you all the details
Do you do runs for EU Horde? :)
Holyzorea currently waiting. Yo see when an Alliance Us Tun happens
Am I the only one who thought he was talking about hazel when he said purple bird 😂
I dought id get it as well with how slow my guild raid group is at raid progression. Hell. We just got normal argus on farm and we only raid once every saturday
+15 appearence isn't going away and is going to be available once BfA starts - they announced it recently that you will be able to get it still.
My boyfriend and I won a Perky Pugs Bird raffle together. :D ty Alphagare, Dcarter, Zullel and the rest of the team!
Nvm just found your video from January for keybinding an Orbweaver. Ty :)
Great video and bonus points for the cat cameo.
30/30 on my Mage Tower skins. Priest and Mage at lvl 60 range so I should be able to get the final 6. If not oh well staffs are meh to me. AOTC done awhile ago.
i've been grinding out leggos and the mage tower for a while now, currently need to do healers and survival after that i'll be done
so does that mean even the re-color for the mage tower weapon? IE: The blue color for Unholy DK weapon?
Doing first aid quests now and deeply regretting it. This might be on par with grinding canopic for vial of the sands recipe..
Damn, I just got back to play for bfa and I cant get the violet bird, I'm sad :(
Glad I found your channel, subscribed.
"Its ok to look at a thing, decide whether or not you want it"
Holy shit I fall for this so many times...
I neeeed the MM bow appearance! Would also love the SV spear, but I don’t think I can pull off a SV challenge. Melee is not ma thang...
Hasn't bliz already said you can still unlock PvP appearances after Legion?
Just got WoW back today and I was wondering if the free bird runs are still available? Let me know, thank you.
Just an update, The M+15 achievement wont be going away, so you will be able to get the artifact appearance after BFA!
Cheers
This is the most live sample of someone that is miserable but still tries to learn how to smile.
Great video thanks :P
Does this mean that you will be able to get the transmorg Artifact “ Balance of Power “ after BoA ?
Very helpful. Keep up the great vids!
Working on the first aid on my monk. Not sure why i picked her for that achievement.
Do you need balance of power first for the +15 skin? Or can you do Balance of power later and have that +15 skin unlocked as well
Class Hall Gold Missions!
Does anyone know where else I can get Violet Spellwing runs? Friendshipbirb said they're no longer accepting names.
When you say mage tower artifacts, is that like all the looks? Or what is it? I'm a bit confused :x
You can get an extra 95g per WQ ;)
Mount is what I want to achieve before BfA. But everything else above also.
Also, I love your hair, the colour is so vibrant :D xx
can a hunter feign death on a mythic trial of valor wipe and still get the chosen title?
This video has incorrect info :/ Mage tower appearances are going away at pre-patch, and the mythic +15 will still be available on BFA
Yes, proving grounds still scale to your level, but artifacts seem to make them much easier.
Hey Hazel, what about the Balance of Power Questline, I heared you will not get the skin after BFA hits. Is that true?
I'd love to quit the Field Medic grind, but I only have 3 to go, so I feel like I'd just be upset with myself if I didn't try...
#8. i'm sure there will be farming groups to be found in the group finder.
Will the class specific mounts (doing the Broken Shore chapters) stay after BFA hits or will they be no longer available? Thanks in advance!
You only need to get the base mage tower skin for each spec, the other colors can you get at anytime. :)
You can't really outgear the Proving Grounds since it scales. :/
I'm also not super sure about getting the titles or the +15 recolor on every class, but we'll see
for the free spellwing runs, are they just downing argus, or do you have to go through the whole raid as well?
Hey, Keep the good work :) I have a question, is the mage tower skin being removed in the pre patch? and if so, when it's the pre patch date? I've been trying to get it but its hard haha and want to know how much time I have left :S Thanks in advance!
Is prestige going or staying? I've heard the pvp mounts won't be available after this expansion!
Definitely gonna push for the challenge appearances for my rogue, those outlaw rapiers are just too damned good looking
Aelythian
I had some trouble clearing the small adds as Outlaw (0 legendaries ilevel 907).
Any blue posts on if the Nightbane mount is going away?
I want the final prestige courser, but that grind is killing me. I wish we'd get some confirmation or something from Blizz on what is going to happen with those rewards
Did the Gold golem 500 000 Gold mount will still available ?
I am about to give up on my guardian druid mage tower. I know most people make it look easy but I just cant get it. I have the wrong legenary I guess.
Stephen S guardian druid is pretty tough, yeah. i think nihilo made a vid where he completed it with only 1 legendary on a boosted toon, maybe thatll help
Good job hazel keep up the good work!!
Wait so I hear rumors that frost dk is going 2 handed in BFA so how would that work if their weps are 1 handed?
hey hazel me and my son haven't played wow for 2 years and we just got back on and my son is trying to get the violet spellwing mount and he says that the cite that you have suggested in your video is inactive.
He says that he played both mythic and herioc 25 player of the seat of pantheon raid but can seem to get the quest line for it, so any advice you could give me would be deeply appreciated.
Thanks for the vid. found it super helpful :D
I still gotta do that mage tower, it’s hard without the legendaries though
I completed field medic in two nights, but then, I really wanted it for my goblin airborne priestess, who is my main of all mains. :)
What about the Lost-Mail quest? That will be gone too...
- - nope. That's going to stick around
got one month sub just for the spellwing mount, tried the mage tower, but meh, its hard and i donno if its worth it, i mean i dont think i will use the shattered reckoning sword as a mog
I want that first aid one. But one drop is taking me forever. I've killed literally thousands of those blasted furbolgs that supposedly have the highest chance of dropping the quest, and nothing.
go to group finder > then custom > then type field, lots off ppl doing it and it goes faster as a 5 man
I started on this - spent 6 hours on the murlocs in Stormheim as they can drop all three items for Field Medic - got nothing.
So, if the prestige system might be changed in BfA, can we assume that the prestige artifact skin won't be obtainable in BfA?
Cat was like: "Oh you are recording? How does my tail look on camera?"
So, if the hype is all about what we are losing after BFA can you tell us anything good for Mages? I’m a casual player and have 110 level toons but I am lost on a lot of this anxiety of pre-BFA.
