Really enjoyed both videos. I have been Carp fishing since 1984 and have always been fascinated by bait. I have always believed that the better the quality of the bait then the better your results will be. Honest and down to earth tips and advice 👍
Nice video John, having been carp fishing for over 50 years I’ve seen lots of changes. I have recently been thinking about making floater cake again, as back years ago it was so successful. Would love to see a video on this please.
Love your knowledge John and thank you for sharing but can you teach Will how to use the zoom on the camera, it’s something that would help and make the video better. Many thanks
Hi John, have you thought of adding a small clip of you on the bank with the finished bait , either on your own or with a friend. I'd like to see you chub or barbel fishing.
Hi John, I watch most of your videos and find them very interesting. I have a question and hope you don’t mind me asking but I am looking to dye some of my bait black and was wondering if you would have any advice.
Hi John, thanks for the latest videos, very interesting and thought provoking. I know you’re not a massive fan of glugs but say you wanted to make your own glugs that matched the boilie profile very closely. Im guessing you could use a sieved base mix, but what could be used as the carrier liquid? Thanks Pete
Hi Richard, thanks for the reply. I do use the paste technique that you mentioned but sometimes I’d rather use a light glug that compliments the boilies that are being used. Cheers Pete
After watching your videos and podcast I can’t help be inspired to make some boilies myself but I’m lost as to what to make. Any advice for a 3-4ft mere that’s loaded with bloodworm and naturally as it’s very silty and weedy. Was thinking you might have an idea of what their lacking in their diet and what would be a good route to take. After quality over quantity as it’s a case of finding them above all and discretely getting a rig and bait in. Any advice would be appreciated. Keep up the excellent work👍
One of my favourite sayings in carp fishing is that 'we catch in spite of what we do, not because of it"
A joy to listen to. Master at work.
Keep 'em coming. Everyday is a school day.
great video John, liked the comments around hair rigs ... people tell me mine are too long! Also be good to see some floating paste recipes :)

Is there an advantage to steaming boilies as opposed to boiling the?

Brilliant video John, would you bait with freebies/ pellets around paste or just on its own? Kind regards Tony Banks.

Try using a matching paste wrap rather than liquid glug… 👍🏻

If i want to make 14mm boilies obviously i use 14mm rolling table but do i use a different size nozzle?
Which of your base mixes is a good one for spring pre spawn and spawn
Thank you
Bonjour comment faire pour traduire l'anglais en français car je comprends pas l'anglais??😪
Lenny Middleton invented the hair rig i believe
John have you ever thought of doing tutorials for bait making ,i think you will take the scene by storm...
L I K E 👍 👍 👍 👍👍 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩💯❣🤍❣💯
👍🎣🐟
Could watch lots of these types of videos. A rig is just a "tool" to get your bait to the fish. If they are going to eat, they will eat it....
👍
Paste rules if you can get away with it ;-)
