I have a white 2010 Corolla S which I’ve taken care of since new. It has since clocked in 61K miles on the odometer. I have changed the oil regularly and has not given me any issues whatsoever. It‘s like the Land Cruiser of the economy car world. I replaced the tail lights with OEM Altis LED tail lights which makes it a bit unique to the other Corollas on the road. Planning to put on some TRD strut and sway bars soon. It’s a good reliable car that I will keep for many more years.
Yes I totally agree that it’s the economy version of the land cruiser for reliability. And I have been wanting to get some new tail lights for my corolla! I love the altis style ones!
@@BrandonStellmach The Altis tail lights will definitely catch the attn of other Corolla drivers. If you have a friend or family member who travels to Asia frequently, you can easily get one from a Toyota dealer over there. It’s plug and play. It makes the car look a bit more up to date. Just watch out for the other Corolla drivers who will high beam you at night to get your attn to ask about your tail light! haha

Cool mods! I own a very special base model Corolla, same color as this. Toyota made a very few Corolla’s with this configuration, right before they switched to the newer body style. My 2013 Corolla has a factory 2.4L 2AZ-FE engine, same engine they used in the Camry and RAV4 at that time period. And no, it’s not the XRS package, this is a base model with the upgraded engine. Like I said, Toyota made a very few of these, and it’s extremely rare to find them. I custom ordered it like this, and they made it!
That’s a very cool and interesting corolla! I have never seen the corolla with a 2.4L unless it was the XRS model. So I would definitely say you have a pretty rare car!

All you need now are the front and rear bumper valances and it would a Corolla S at that point. Nice ride. I’m running an LED relay for my 2009 Vibe GT, which lets all my led’s flash smoothly.
The bumper valances are on the to-do list.

The radio is a binize Android head unit with 2GB of ram and 16GB of storage. I ordered off amazon for around 150$.

Looks like a lot of cool stuff to further enjoy your ride with ! I think any other color wheels would stand out a lot better, but obviously you wanted everything dark on dark. I have a custom mesh-type aftermarket grill on my 2004, I don't know if they have one for your year or not. They come black, but a I've seen some red. I scuffed the black off the face of mine for a little contrast, it's very subtle and you'd almost have to be looking for it.
PS- I've got think you'll be doing a custom exhaust of some kind, tame or loud.. Best wishes ! 👏🏽
There is plenty of things to do with your car! And I have seen a couple people get corolla altis grilles from Japan. But they are really expensive and don’t look much different than the stock!
And soon I will be doing more things with the exhaust! 👍

Black out tail lights and head lights I just bought a used 2006 Corolla and I’m looking to change everything out from transmission to paint to sound and all wiring. Battery alternator. Doing it my self so I love your channel so far even though this is the first video I’ve watched. I’m thinking of adding interior and exterior lights and getting prof wheels. I’m hoping to get this baby running new and looking fn gorgeous. My self once again. All interior is going to be replaced leather.

I have a 2009 corolla, and it’s a U.S. model. So that might be the reason why they look different versus the Argentina corollas.

No I haven’t done anything. Other than a wash and wax.
Maybe it was just the lighting or something making it look different!

How’s the wheel alignment? Last time? I put 20s on my Camry I was shaking like hell.
I should probably get another alignment soon, but the car drives nice and straight and doesn’t have any vibrations, when at high way speeds!

The key fob you see is for an aftermarket keyless entry. My corolla was a base model and didn’t come with electronic locks, so I installed this. Here is a link to the video where I install it.

I can definitely say the car looks much better!
As for the ride, it rides okay, it’s a stiff ride, and you feel many bumps. But I wouldn’t say it’s terrible, I daily drive my car.

They came like that. I know that the 2009 and 2010. Are slightly different with the front end compared to the 2011-2013.
Should paint rear brake drum black or silver.

I just put a Spectre Cold Air Intake with a Pre Filter on my 2013 Toyota Corolla S it has the special edition 17 inch wheels and center console screen in the interior. I have “Pulstar” spark plugs running. They are AMAZING and have definitely increased good power. My next step is the Borla Exhaust.

@@That_TRD_Guy I wish my car was like brand new. But it had 2 owners before me. And they didn’t seem to take the best car of it. Luckily I don’t have any paint fade. It’s just got many swirls and plenty of rock chips.

How much was the wheel conversion to go from hubs to rims?
Well there is no conversation that needs to be done. Just all I had to do was buy wheels that I liked and then tires to go along with them!
But with all that said I paid about $1500 for all new wheels, tires and new TPMS sensors!

I never installed any wheel adapters or spacers. The wheels bolted on without needing anything.

And no I didn’t have any problems with the lock install. If you look on my channel you will find a video to me installing it if you are interested.
Also I have wanted to do power windows, but my only thing is I hear a bunch of people have problems with after market power windows. So if I did the swap I would try to source all oem parts to make sure they last a long time. But oem parts are expensive, unless you can find someone parting out there whole interior on a corolla.

Yes, that is why I got the relay, to stop the hyper flashing.
I like the black emblems I have one of these cars they look good as you painted them or that's how they came when you bought them

I ordered my wheels and tires from fitment industries. They mounted and balanced them for me. And sent them to me already assembled. And all I had to do was unmount my old ones. And put the new ones on.

And I never replaced the speakers, I only did the head unit. But speakers will be in the future.

Yeah they are really close!
And yes I am on rev9 coilovers. And the wheels don’t give a rough ride, but the coil overs do. I have the dampening set stiff, so the wheels don’t hit the fender. And that causes the rough ride!
@@BrandonStellmach will it hit the finders if I don't install the coilovers? Or will there be other problems if I stay on the stock shocks
@@EngineMotor you won’t have any problems. It’s just the coil overs make it look better. Because when you put the wheels on without the coil overs your wheel gap looks big!
What is the color of the car I have a silver 2017 Toyota Corolla and I just recently added on some ceramic tint to my vehicle for the first time the other day at the shop after riding around in a fish bowl for years I don’t know much about cars or wheel size or rim size what can fit on what but I’m willing to learn almost anything I’m looking now to vinyl the top black with the rain guards on the side and in the back I’m just struggling on what to start with first I know I should only focus on one thing at a time I loved the video man thumbs up!
Mine is called metallic grey.
And tint is a must, especially if you live somewhere with a lot of sun!
And usually many wheels under 20 inches will fit this car as long as you are not to low.
But what I would start out with is the cheaper things. Because you can do many of those before the more expensive ones!

I would imagine it would fit, but I don’t know the exact measurements of the newer corollas, but I would say they are probably very close to size of mine. You would just need to make sure the holes on the spoiler line up within the trunk of the new corolla.

@@popoygravy5118 yeah, I was looking at my recently purchased, and I thought those were the low beams, but you are right they are the high beams, the only problem with replacing the high beam with LED, is they flicker when the DRL is on, so I returned mine.

The high beam bulb does flicker when the DRL is on. And they don’t really blink, they just flicker very lightly. It’s not like you notice it a bunch, but you will see it a little bit.
But the low beam doesn’t have a problem.
How is the rev9 coilovers holding up ?
So far I haven’t had any problems, and I have had them for almost 2 years! And have driven over 15,000 miles!

They are stiff, you feel pretty much every bump on the road. But I’m not going to say it’s horrible. And yes I do bottom out the rear every once in a while if I hit a big bump going fast. But that’s because I have the rear pretty low. I have been thinking about raising it up a bit.

@@BrandonStellmach running across an issue. I ordered the bulbs from that link, without the resistors (because I have the flash relay) but the bulbs are always orange and do not change colors.
Am I missing something???
The bulbs I got look a little different from the photos on Amazon. All orange leds, no switch at the front/ no white LEDs on the side. But plugged in just fine like a regular bulb, but stay orange.

@@GraveyardWarden that’s very weird, I have never had this problem, they might be faulty bulbs. I would just make sure to order the ones I have. Because I know they work for my corolla!

it was 1170 for the rims only or with the tires also
That price is just for the rims, the cost has gone up over $200 since I bought them a year ago, so if you needed wheels it would cost another $500 more.

How much did you pay for your corolla? i’m looking to get one but most are salvaged and i’m not to sure about those
I payed almost $5,000 and it had about 115,000 miles.
Was it a clean title? And from a dealer or third party?
I got mine from a dealership 6,000 I went through dealership because they make sure the car is in great condition before the sale I have 100,000 miles on it runs good! They also gave me the Carfax the two previous owners kept it well maintenance

What you see in the video, I have about $1300 in mods, not including the wheels. And if you were including the wheels and tires that was about $1500. So almost $2500.
But make sure you subscribe to the channel I got many more upgrades coming. I have already put on some headers and a car back exhaust. Which make the car sound much better. So stay tuned!!

Tint is a great way to make the car look much nicer. And feel better on the inside from the sun!
And you are probably not seeing any lug nuts to take off because you probably have hubcaps. Which those just snap onto a steel wheel! If you try to pull on them they should just pop off!

If I ball park it. I would say around 12K-15K. To some people it might be worth it. To other people they might think it’s way to high. I have put about 6K into it and I bought it for about 5K.
Do you ever worry about getting pulled over by cops for your window tint?
Well I’m Florida you are allowed to have 15% on all the windows expect for the front windows. And front windows you are allowed to have 30%. So I’m not much over the legal limit. So I haven’t had any problems for the past year so far.
@@BrandonStellmach I see. I’m from NJ and their rule is I can’t have any tint on front windows and windshield. I’m still debating getting it on my car.
Yeah in Florida they seem pretty lenient about window tint.

Yeah you are correct that it’s 28% but you won’t find any tint that comes in 28%. So basically it’s 30%.

I never added bigger brakes to the car. I only added the drilled and slotted rotors with new pads.

I Am getting inherited a 2010 toyota corolla CE stick, Literally like yours with manual everything, In silver.
For some people they may think it’s over kill. I look at it as a nice blank slate to build off of!!!

Well Walmart always has super cheap tires for about $60 dollars a tire. But they are never the best. The tires I have now are a Nankang tire and I paid 500 for all 4 with mounting!
