Maybe the best recovery talk I've ever heard and I've heard a few. Really motivates me to get into the book and the steps.

The top ranking position that I seek in Alcoholics Anonymous is to become a child of God as per described by Scott R. - What an amazing share! Especially the last 40 minutes of which I related to in so many ways. Sobriety has truly been good to me but God has definitely been the true reason for me having developed a spiritual consciousness unlike anything that I've ever experienced before. From Dr. Yung to the Oxford Group, Rowland Hazard to Ebby Thacher, Dr. Bob to Bill Wilson... Thank God for everyone's direct involvement in the chain of events that gave rise to what is known today as a program of action that actually works. It has for me at least and for that, I am truly grateful for. My sobriety date is July 4, 2019 and what better gift to give a Son on his 18th birthday than a sober Dad.

Disaster is why I drank. But it's definitely not why I can't stop drinking.

I believe he had cancer, I lived in the SFV, L.A. CA from "86-1999" and knew Scott well, Met him at the Rafords Men's Meeting ,North Hollywood . HE WAS THE REAL DEAL. HUGE HEART SWEET GUY ,LOVED HIS FAMILY AND ALL THE MEMBERS OF AA PUT IN HIS PATH ! He was my Sponsor for a brief time when I was new but I wasn't ready yet to do the work .
Scott & his Wife had Thanksgiving at their home most yrs I was lucky enough to be invited for several yrs ! RIP SCOTT ❤
