    What a nice little horse.
You have some great horses in your videos & I really appreciate that they aren’t all “finished” horses.
We get to see differences in each horse’s education, training, temperament & personality.

I have a lot of fun sharing them with everyone who’s interested!

Thanks for this. I found you through another trainer and first video I watch I'm learning something. I've been struggling with how to differentiate between flex and disengage with two 6 year old's I'm training myself that I've had their whole lives. And now I also know why my older bought mare doesn't pull her head back when I release the flex (usually).
And that mare has quite the personality :D
I know what I'm working on today.

@@_thenaturalhorseman My six year old mare acted like I'd done it with her a dozen times already flex wise (I haven't) and was sticky at first with the disengage but worked it out quickly enough.
The gelding (a bit of an overachiever at times) struggled at first with the flex and thought I just wanted him to disengage but he too worked it out after just a couple minutes.

@@tacetlupus2510 Wow amazing, nicely done. It can take days for a horse to put all the pieces together. Very good!!

@@_thenaturalhorseman Thank you! I haven't done much flexion with them, maybe a little bit like a year or two ago, but they've done a fair bit of disengaging (especially the gelding which is why he thought that's what I wanted from the start).
It might be because I've done a bunch of small things over the years that I can't really recall, but with my two at least less is more.
Example: Gideon (my gelding) knows how to dip his head when being haltered. I taught that with a looped rope, three 5 ish minute sessions each a week apart. That wasn't even the outcome I was aiming for, but when I went to put his halter on around the 4th week he dipped his nose and surprised me with it. Done it ever since, too.
I'm finding it a shame you are another trainer I like a lot that we don't share the same neck of the woods lol. Several videos in now and I'm convinced meeting you would be beneficial. (Sorry for the/any lengthy replies. I like to be as succinct as possible, but can tend to run on.)
