The thing about Breaking Bad is that it gets better and better every season. Kind of the opposite with Game of Thrones after season 3-4
Yeah as soon as Game of Thrones turned the writing to the showrunners and not the original books (which aren't finished yet) the show got steadily worse. Season 7, for me, was just straight garbage.
Alex Boutin the writing died with Stannis.
yeah, but it's still not better, got has to many great characters and moments, breaking bad just has consistent good writing, too few interesting characters
@@meekee1 hard disagree. Walt, Jesse, Gus, Mike, Saul are infinitely better written than pretty much everyone in GoT. The most interesting GoT characters were Tywin, Oberyn and and Ned, who are all dead

Comparing Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad is tough, because I love them both and they’re so different. But I’d say the key advantage that Breaking Bad has is that it feels like an overall more perfect show. It’s flaws are few and far between. Game of Thrones has greater highs as a piece of universal art, and is also the much more impressive show in terms of work put into the filmmaking, but it also has greater flaws as a story/series. Breaking Bad is probably the best model of how to write a television series. Overall, I’d have to say I enjoy Game of Thrones more, but I feel like I learn more from Breaking Bad about storytelling, character development, acting and how to film simple real-life situations in dramatically and viscerally compelling ways.

Breaking bad, the sopranos, and the wire, are the 3 greatest television dramas in American history. GoT was an absolute cultural phenomenon and reached an insanely large audience, but it was never awarded the same critical acclaim
