Because Jesus show how to be humble. And disciples, seeing Christ in the flesh, is like seeing your father. The warmth welcome of Christ, makes you still.
I would have cried so much in the presence of Him. I will when I meet Him one day.

Yes I have heard that criticism. In the director's defense though, they had to go through so much material in so little time. But I do agree that they seemed to have been excessively PC in episodes such as Sodom and Gomorrah.

He wants us to remember him by doing this as if he was with us in flesh. By doing this you agree that he died in the cross and shed his blood to give you eternal life.
Its crystal clear to me when Jesus holds the bread and says "This is my body" he is implying his real presence in the eucharist, and giving the sacrament to the disciples to give to the world.
John 6:48 "I am the bread of life"
John 6:51 " I am the living bread came down from heaven...this bread is my flesh which I will give for life of the world."
John 6:53 "Very truly I tell you unless you eat the flesh and drink the blood of the son of man you have no life within you.
John 6:55 "For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink."
So from a biblical perspective, thats what he means...

The true meaning of Last Supper/ Passover narrative have nothing to do
with the
Messiah. The festival of Passover was never intended or predicted to be
replaced by another festival or covenant. or even modified in any way.
It was a permanent festival ( forever) . Did the Most High God forget
to mention it? lol Deut. 12:14,,42
Where is that Scripture that says that it would be replaced by a human
blood sacrifice in the Exodus narrative? Using as a parallel is merely
an "assumption" not a true understanding of the intent of the narrative.
I mean in the Tanakh not NT. Specially speaking of Messianic
prophecies.
Where in the Deut chapter 12 says that the future Messiah will parallel
that festival?
The meaning of the Passover was not intended for the forgiveness of sins
of the Israelites nor blood covenant.
Abba did not make the covenant with Israel until the Law given by Moses
but not in the Passover narrative my friends.
The Messiah was not Passover by Jews in the first century. Why? Because
all Jews including Yeshua himself remembered that festival as a
deliverance of Slavery in Egypt and receiving an inheritance as a nation
when they entered the promised land. BUT Christianity claims otherwise
and interpreted as the last supper lamb only as a blood covenant for
the forgiveness of sins.

According to Deuteronomy 12 , it could've been also "goat" not a lamb.
