So if I understand correctly, the gaming features this router provides enhances and prioritizes packets for gaming. I am wondering because of that prioritization, are any other devices that might be on your network affected and if so how much would you say they are affected by?
It says there in the level 3 section that you HAVE to have a ROG motherboard for the router to enable the game packet prioritization. I have a asus motherboard but it’s a prime not a ROG so will I be able to have access to the packet prioritization feature or did I just waste $250?!
I have a quick question on using the 2.5ge on the router and i was wondering which cable should be used there cause i tried using the cat7 with it and it did not work. for lan

Question: I have my side button to turn on game boost. however, when I enable game boost via the webpage, the light on the side of the router doesn't come on until I press the button. so even though I have it enabled via a webpage, do I still need to press the side button or am I missing something?
That does sound strange, but if you have enabled the game boost on the webpage of the router then it should be On, you should not need to press the button. Sound like a bug if the light is only on when you press on the button. As long as you see the game boost page update when its switched on that should be fine.
Why do mine doesnt show "game acceleration"?? P.s. Its connected to another router (no option for me). Im using as a access point, because when I use as a router, I get doubleNAT.
I'm sure you have a router modem combo. If you can just set it to a bridge mode. That way it will only act like a modem, then you can use the full features of the router.
Sorry being late to the party here… if doing acceleration say for your desktop, is it required that the router be connected via the 2.5G port or is a regular LAN port the same?

In the official specs, it states USB 3.1 Gen 1, however, the physical port on the router says 3.0, this is also shown in the settings interface in the router. can you please confirm?
When they did the USB renaming it made things so confusing, below is a article link and a snippet : USB 3.0 was released over ten years ago in 2008 and it was the third major revision to the USB standard. It was a big improvement from USB 2.0 which first arrived in 2000 with transfer speeds of only 480 Mbit/s. Since then, we’ve moved on from USB 3.0 which is now known as USB 3.1 Gen 1. Love the rog it’s the one thing missing ! I have been tweeting asus trying to get some attention on the issue as my rog is double the cost of the nighthawk lol
How can i geofilter my specific server? I love this router by the way. Had it about 6months, and have loved it. Edit- and im not paying 90 bucks a year for that, no way in fuck. My older router let me chose a server. Or let me choose a area around me to connect to. Dont tell me i have to pay for that on this expensive router. No way.

I managed to still use CAT6 it was around 12ft in length, CAT7 should work unless it's a very long cable. Perhaps you cable may be faulty

For the Gaming features it can work via 2.4Gb port or 1Gb port.

@@ytweirdo Yeeh i contacted WTfast , they were not helpful, i switched to Exitlag. Much better and does things in the background more efficiently

Wifi 6 Ghz not show when i search just 2.4 and 5 !
Maybe your device is not wifi 6 compatible on my phone it will show a 6 on the bars not 6g just the number
