However how to buy a train ticket using NS app had not been touched for a while. The NS app is the Dutch national railway application which is available in the app store and the android play store. First of all you have to change the language to English.
ns app buy a ticket for someone else is also possible. As explained in the video, you only have to put the persons name and email address in the NS App when buying a ticket for someone else. Ns App facilitates in buying a ticket for someone else, or for yourself. This app is also called the nederlandse spoorwegen app.

Once you have the tickets through the app, can you just use the app and tap when you get to the train. or do you have to print out a ticket or have a card ?

you can use the QR code in the app to tap in and tap out of the ticket machine. no need to print out.🙂
