Alex is a BEAST behind that kit!!! What a waste of time these guys took up arguing and fighting. The brothers pulled some horrible shit on Mikey. The dude was loyal, kept his shit square and he is a great bass player with thosebackground vocals that made Van Halen so unique and special.
This was the period of time where Al looked like he was a foreman for a paint crew during the day, then rushed home and cleaned up for band practice. LoL
...because at the end of the day he is a regular guy. he has nothing to prove and he never seemd like a guy that was full of himself.see the way he is hurrying to get his head phones swapped out/ he could have took his sweet ass time and made the band and everyone else wait but he didn't. he didn't want to miss out of the fun and make people wait and kill the vibe they have going on.that says a lot of eddie.
@@kevsta67 yeah.... I know that., I think you mY have taken something that was tongue and cheek humor as a serious comment... Sorry that I wasn't more clear with my comment being a joke. I have in the past when I was playing heavily in bands opened for alot of popular national acts in the north east. And yes they all are just normal people who happen to have really cool jobs.
Man!!!! That was awesome,,,,,smoking hot ,,, set it blew me away,,, to see to see Ed and Sam drinking out of the same bottle!!!! Music is for all!!!!!!
It's not terribly hard to cop... it's a Ludwig LM-402 with a coated black dot. Sounds like that out of the box. I've got one. It's also the famous "Bonham Snare" as well.
Damn. So amazing. And extra kudos to Michael Anthony playing Entwistle lines. Ed so missed so fantastic even with broken headphones, and playing the Who keyboard lines on guitar ha. Alex dead on as always. And Sammy - good lord one of the best that can do it live and raw. Love when awesome singers warn you they might not do well then “Yeahhhhhhh!!!” Ha
man those guys ,every one of them, really were on top of the world.....in their personal lives ,and musically.....wow.i saw them many times.saw dave az well.....but all of them were so tallented and destined for rock infamy.rock history.what a mark they made on the planet.
Wish Sammy’s vocals could have been heard better here. Just to be there watching these iconic members of Van Halen must have been a dream come true. What a life that must have been working as part of the Van Halen crew back in the 80s and 90s
Sammy recently said to Mick Jones that he couldn't sing DREAMS today nowhere near as high as he did back in the 80s. Mick Jones of Foreigner actually got that performance out of him (in the studio) when he produced their album at the time. 7:45
Damn Ed on Guitar and Sammy on vocals...to masters of their instruments... yeah we dont have a synthesizer so Ed just does it on guitar and it sounds amazing 🤣
And the rest of us with monetized channels are wondering where in the hell this video orignally came from..... (so we could have posted it, and made $$$$$$$)
I agree, but there will always be disagreement from the DLR camp. He was an excellent front man, but Sammy is clearly the better singer. Some people will always choose pizza over steak, and some will always take steak over pizza.
I know Ed was a "tone chaser"...but why'd he moce away from this? You FOUnD the tone, brotha lol. Not a huge fan of thar thoaty stuck wah pedal thing that followed after '96...thinking it had something to do with upper register hearing loss and nobody ballsy enough to tell him!
the who cover is way way better that the who ever was.i like a couple of who songs but really disliked borderline hated to hear them ever come on the radio.
When they were friends...they were unstoppable.
Sammy said he and Eddie made up just before his death. I thought that was nice for Ed and Sam.
damn I MISS this band and Eddie so MUCH!!!
Sammys voice to this day sounds amazing
Alex is a BEAST behind that kit!!! What a waste of time these guys took up arguing and fighting. The brothers pulled some horrible shit on Mikey. The dude was loyal, kept his shit square and he is a great bass player with thosebackground vocals that made Van Halen so unique and special.
💯
Never will be another EVH!!! Live on Forever!!!
100%
Rock music was better during the late 70's-early 80's, but this is the best lineup of VH. Keys, synths, and power ballads diminished the Hagar years.
Alex, was amazing.
This was the period of time where Al looked like he was a foreman for a paint crew during the day, then rushed home and cleaned up for band practice. LoL
That divorce hit hard!!!

Sammy was always on point with his vocals
Yes, however not in this video...
Man!!!! That was awesome,,,,,smoking hot ,,, set it blew me away,,, to see to see Ed and Sam drinking out of the same bottle!!!! Music is for all!!!!!!
Eddie is just magical in his playing
This was a great band miss it and Ed very much. RIP Edward Van Halen.
Alex and the snare sound of his..
Sounds like someone banging a Heineken on the side of a log somewhere in Africa..
Killer tone..

Hard bass part for Michael Anthony on Won't get fooled..... The rest of the band sounded awesome! Sammie was hitting it! Peace from Detroit MI.
Eddie was such a talented guitar player, the best I've ever seen, and yet he said he couldn't read sheet music.
Eddie an Sammy drinking from the same bottle of beer . That’s brotherhood.
This was great loved the Who cover the most this should be in the Smithsonian…RIP Eddie

Pure Gold...
Wonderful them doing "Won't Get Fooled Again" --tribute to the Who. Glad they loved them too.
Such a fantastic cover. AVH is criminally under rated.
Has he been charged ? Felony ?
Amazing. RIP TO THE GOAT
This was Van Halen at the top of their game.
Nah, they were way past their peak. Still good, though
@@pete7164 Way past their peak? Whatchu talkin' bout, Willis? They made some of their best music during this period.
Its best to think of them as two different bands. Both great but different.
Some good times
Dave was Great, but Sam added another dimension to the band. How great is this?
Wish Sammy’s vocals could have been heard better here. Just to be there watching these iconic members of Van Halen must have been a dream come true. What a life that must have been working as part of the Van Halen crew back in the 80s and 90s
I freaking miss ed so much ,,, but much more this chemistry .
alex,his drumming is unbelievable!!!!!!!😮😮😮
best Who cover ever
EVH FOREVER! 🎸🎸🎸🎸
Fantastic, thanks for this!
Al!! What’s great sounds on The Who’s song . Mike always good chorus, especially. Iove this clip
Sammy's scream at the end made Mike step back and say, "Wow!"
Okay Pete, this is how it’s played 💥💥💥💥” Don’t get fooled again “ 💥💥💥💥
THE WHO SONG.......That cover was SICK!
Wow. I'm speechless
Wow, just amazing. Eddie is the real deal. The band played great and hats off to Sammy's vocals, very hard to do.
Wow they are smooth.....
What a sad loss Eddie has been to guitar playing - great live perfomance.
Sammy recently said to Mick Jones that he couldn't sing DREAMS today nowhere near as high as he did back in the 80s. Mick Jones of Foreigner actually got that performance out of him (in the studio) when he produced their album at the time. 7:45
I don't care that much for Hagar, but he sounded real good here on Dreams. 👍
He always sounds good
@@wesryker6048
That's a matter of opinion
Damn Ed on Guitar and Sammy on vocals...to masters of their instruments... yeah we dont have a synthesizer so Ed just does it on guitar and it sounds amazing 🤣
awesome
They were a SMOKING HOT BAND. Sammy KILLS it!!!!
Sammy and Michael are 2 peas in a pod. Glad they’re still together.
12:40. Epic
Hard to believe that was 30 years ago and that Sammy Hagar was already 46
David Lee Roth sounds good in this video 📸
....and an idiot troll enters the room....
And the rest of us with monetized channels are wondering where in the hell this video orignally came from..... (so we could have posted it, and made $$$$$$$)
7:55 damn, I would love to hear Van Halen cover Mississippi Queen, Creedence, Cream, and We’ve Got To Get Out of This Place
The Who cover was pretty good. Enjoyed that but have never been a fan of the synth rock of VH. But he could play obviously and so could his band
2:29 "Piano's on tape."
Early Roth era was great, Sammy era was amazing and they never wrote a great song again after he left
He’s so proud of his Cartier pasha 18KT GOLD 😂😂😂
They should've brought it down a half-step for Sammy...
The best version of Van Halen by far
I agree, but there will always be disagreement from the DLR camp. He was an excellent front man, but Sammy is clearly the better singer. Some people will always choose pizza over steak, and some will always take steak over pizza.
Did anyone notice Sam and Ed drinking the same Heini?
Alex was a great drummer! He never got the credit because Eddie was always the main focus! Van Hagar was excellent!
FORTUNATELY I HAVE SO MUCH BETTER MEMORIES
EVH and Sammy drank out of the same bottle...
Sammy drank out of Eddie's heineken.
...Keanu Reeves on drums, 1:56
The first song sounds like a commercial for the Olympics.
Moon used duck tape, giggle giggle 😎
The who song was amazing
Alex could play some drums boy!
Andy
I just saw Sammy snag head off of Ed’s beer never did like that schmuck
lol... 😬
Who's AL?
Alex Van Halen the drummer
@2weird378 yea i remember now. So many posts now list AI as some source i get to wonder who AL is in all these.
Dave was great. But Sammies voice

Vocal to low
Dave could never, ever sung that song. Good front man, not a great singer.
Van Hagar was far better than Van Halen
What a great reminder that Van Hagar absolutely sucked.
Yeah especially in the 90s
Wow, in your opinion....I guess the only difference between bobbyflavor and God is that God doesn't think he's bobbyflavor.
im a dave guy but cmon these guys were fabulous. Different band in a way but still made great music
