i love the unanimous "they should add the Super Scope to Splatoon", i would've never thought about that at the time but somehow they predicted it perfectly (it did end up getting added as a Blaster in June 2023)
This is so small and dumb but the active 'live typing' when Mike goes "LOGITECH F310 BABEY!!!" scratches my brain I had to go and rewatch it like 5 times
This fucken rules, thank you for the supporting graphics and info, I didn’t know almost any of these controllers so having context to the discussion is awesome, thank you!
I just found this video randomly and I love the vibes of it, just a bunch of friends hanging out talking and ranking weird and wonderful video game controllers.
Hopping in here to defend two of these: 1. The Logitech F310. I found two of these at Target for $20 together, and bought them to use on my PS3 and shitty laptop at the time. You can swap them between X and D-input, so they're pretty compatible with some consoles. It worked on my PS3 minus the ability to open the home screen, I had to use the shitty DS controller for that. It also worked on my 2012 Macbook Pro thanks to a homemade X-input plugin! I still have one of them, and honestly it lives up! The analog triggers provide a good amount of resistance, which can be a good thing depending on the person. I played Halo 3 with my friends with it and it worked flawlessly! 2. The Duke. Okay, I didn't grow up with the original Xbox, but hear me out. At MAGFest my friend and I played Capcom vs. SNK 2 EO on an Xbox, and I have to say that it was probably the best way I've played that game right under a candy cabinet! The extra buttons are weird, but can come in handy if you're playing a fighting game!
1:44 Warframe player here, for the record theyre probably referring to the Halikar, a glaive type melee which does look a lot closer to that controller in a way.
Also I don't know what steam controller they had but holy shit it doesn't deserve F. Sure it could be better, and with the steam deck being out and essentially executing on the premise of the steam controller but better its worse by default, but it's still functionally sound and does plenty of cool things especially in conjunction with Steam Input
Steam controller is C at least. Any controller that let's me play an RTS on the couch is great. It's very light and offputting to new users though, which is very important. However, it has a lot of features that make it really versatile compared to everything else. Valve's greatest sins are that it wasn't properly weighted, it didn't have the actually responsive haptic settings on the trackpads by default, and it had mediocre ergonomics. If you are stubborn enough to throw yourself at it until you get used to it and used community mappings it's pretty good. I wish they made a V2 to address the problems but at least the best features made their way into the steam deck.
The Intellivision controller actually had special game-specific paper overlays you could slide in that told you what the numpad buttons actually do Also I’m sad that the CD-i Presentation Spoon and the OUYA controller didn’t make the lineup
Also I’m literally holding the OUYA controller in my hands as I type this Unironically the best feeling and positioned element of this controller is the fucking home button 💀
the neGcon at C makes sense, but only because it had so few games thst supported it. if it was more widely supported it wouldve been *the* way to play racing games on ps1. also the buttons on it are abysmal, they're so spongy and stick up so far.
i see drawfee reference on a rtvs compilation thumbnail, i click instantly because i know the creator must be peak adult cocomelon fan with both things
@@RevengeRaptorREAL my take is it doesn't feel hollow and the buttons aren't THAT shit, mines plenty hefty. I don't even find the touchpads that difficult, only downside I've had personally is Bluetooth seeming to be a bit shit with my steam deck but like a LOT of Internet stuff seems to fuck up around my metal desk
i like this!! i especially like the photos of the controllers accompanied on screen
thanks you!!

They should add the famicom beam gun to splatoon (and make it shoot bullets)
@@davebob4973 you're genuinely so right
Love the cut to Dreamcast keyboard in S after Holly’s reasoning

no youre so right and i totally get the same feeling
The pervert tier controllers are so funny
that pic of Wayne in the thumbnail fuckin kills me every time i see it. i cant begin to process whatever emotion that is
eagerness, malicious intent, predatorial gaze
lust
shaved wayne and beard + glasses wayne are two different people, he went from a mischievous demon to a peaceful wizard
It’s the emotion of uh…win?
18:37 they manifested the S-blast into existence in this moment
The steel battalion controller is fucking badass. You actually flick all the switches to start each mission its badass

LMAO the Sega Saturn 3D edit, great job
God, I want several of these controllers.
holy shit did this stream release before or after the titanic sub
A few months before iirc. If it released after they would have noted that it's the only controller here with a body count
the TurboGrafx-16 looks like the remote to a model train set
Edit: ok there’s two Turbografx 16s here, both look like model train remotes
I wanted a Falcon so badly when I was younger
great edit lol

I'm surprised that The Glove controller for Playstation 1 and the N64 aren't on here
Anyone know the stream Wayne’s talking about with the Logitech wheel around 25:23?
LMFAO wait holy shit i have the ps3 remote
GameClam controller is an S honestly, wish it wasn’t such an obscure thing. Would’ve been on the list otherwise.

they talk about pervert tier in the video. i've made a fool of myself once again. i still watch
i.... i dont watch drawfee......... what reference did i accidentally make 😭😭
Drawfee also added a pervert tier in one of their tier list streams@RevengeRaptorREAL
@@naptime23_7in your defense, pervert tier is a great add to any list
11:06 - They had Xbox 360 controllers in 2001?
aha, good catch. that mustve been one of the controllers i didnt find a proper year for, i dont remember where i pulled 2001 from
The steam controller is phenomenal wtf are they on about
