He drugs Kao at some point and alongside Kao, he convinces Kao that Alfred is just being a bummer and unjust, and to have fun kicking Alfred down together. Poor Alfred... Alfred unfortunately sees Kao's descent into this state.
I feel like this theory is very likely. I believe there was a comic that was on his old deviantart account (since deleted, some art is on the fandom page) which showed Mystery thinking Kao was "a fun one" because he never had the courage to say no. Do you think Mystery would ever try dragging him into their god complex as well?
Ohhh, that's definitely a good possibility. I'm not sure if Kao would really believe in Mystery's "religion" (but then again, we don't know what it comprises of and if it can co-exist in Kao's mind.) But at the least, definitely, Kao would feed into it because they probably can't bring themselves to put something Mystery seems to care a lot about down. I was analyzing this video and I found at minute 3:52 the word (Matthew 7:7) and at minute 3:58 the word (Proverbs 16:3). It was fast but you can see if you put the video in slow mode. Surely it is related to the bible, but I don't know if it has anything in common with Doll Eye in general. And i think the word usbdriveusbdrive is a keyword for the vegenere cipher, because the spelling of the keyword is the same, that's just a random idea of mine that may have no connection with the cipher.

oh my GOD i love this video. i noticed the binary code at around 2:30 i believe?? and i spent a few mins putting it into a translator and it said something along the lines of “usb drive” (not exactly what it said but that was the general gist) and i also noticed the bible verses in the video that show up for a split second. iirc they were matthew 7:7 and proverbs 16:3, and i looked those up and now im all like. the LOOOORRRRREEEE AUGGHHH and it makes me wonder if thisll be some kind of ARG thing (or maybe im getting the definition of that wrong idk lmao) but yeah so. matthew 7:7 says something along the lines of “seek and ye shall find” and proverbs 16:3 is something like “commit your actions to the lord and your plans will succeed” and it made me think back to whats actually going on in the video. i feel like this video is hinting to the events of chapter 2, which might consist of mystery making kao turn on alfred?? considering the words and the visuals that are paired along with it. (ex. “if you find a scoundrel, with all of our strength, lets pour this flame of justice onto him!” paired with a doodle of alfred) anyway yeah i think mystery will try convincing kao that alfred is a very bad person, which is what mystery already thinks, evidenced by the very end of chapter 1. ive also been looking at the full lyrics to the original song, mainly the part where in this video, the lyrics are pixelated. it mentions being cold-hearted towards someones misfortune, and so maybe thatll happen between kao and alfred?? like maybe alfred will suffer a lot more than kao and upon mystery convincing kao that alfred is bad, kao wont really care about it too much. but honestly thats just my theory. in short, the video was very good and so was the cover :^)
