I disagree. Bleach doesn’t do the songs justice. Plus Dave also elevates the songs’ sound so much. As you can see here, the live versions are leagues better than the album versions.

Distortion here was a DS1 or DS2- he recorded Nevermind with a DS1 but switched to a DS2 sometime during the Nevermind tour when his DS1 broke. He never used the turbo mode on it though, so mode 1 on the DS2 is basically the same thing as a DS1. Either DS1 or DS2 will work, but if you use a DS2 set it to the first mode, not the turbo mode. If you also want the In Utero sound, get a Sansamp classic. Don't get the updated version (GT2), get the old one.
Driguez Ros im a drummer but prob just a chorus. Everyone slways thinks he used the same type of chorus. Im sure he used different distortion pedals throughout the yearz. Spec when he started making $'
john balducci here he’s just using a distortion, no chorus pedal for this song. He always used a small clone chorus as his main chorus, EHX polychorus only for a couple in utero songs but v rarely. Distortion was a DS1 for bleach & Nevermind, switched to DS2 but set to mode 1, then sansamp for in utero. He didn’t use a ton of pedals, just a couple. Phase 100 only for curmudgeon
Was pretty sure this early on he was using some unknown fuzz pedal actually. Sounds like a big muff. On the studio version at least. Not positive though. Btw. He didn't ALWAYS use the DS1 or DS2 lol
