It doesn't matter if the the victim was a saint or a serial killer-- the police are not tasked with being a judge or a jury or an executioner. Period. Not that difficult to grasp.
Right so if they treat the convicts with respect to convict would treat them with respect and we wouldn't have any resisting arrest right maybe they should just ask him pretty please put your hands behind your back and cut yourself so that we don't get into a scuffle when I try to do it. And them convicts would just cooperate like nothing you ever seen. And if that don't work call LeBron James I'm sure he's got some suggestions

Killing a suspect should be the action of last resort and only to protect public and/or officers.
Generally speaking that does not fit killing someone while he is fleeing. The only exception would be criminals like serial killers, mass shooters, serial racists etc.
You know their identity, get them a day later but better prepared.
Well as i see it shooting someone in the back isnt justifiable if there not an immediate threat to public/officer safety.
But you can’t expect a suspect with a warrant and ties to drugs to just roll over for police most of the time.
Until you have spent some time in Law Enforcement or understand that criminals dont obey the law then you would understand most fugitives will run to get out of going to jail.

With all the videos of police violence even an innocent person might flee, they would be justified to think their life is in danger.
Only if the person running is ACTIVELY a danger to others is this justified.
I really wonder why 2 young white men who had just murdered multiple people and were still carrying their weapons when police showed up were apprehended without violence. One was treated to Burger King on his way to be arraigned. Yet someone who is fleeing is shot in the back.
I am conservative and I've spoken to other conservatives about this. We all agree that all officers should have body cams and the videos should be accessible to the public immediately to uphold ethics and accountability. It literally benefits everyone even the officers as long as they aren't guilty.

Did you watch the video? In it, they literally talked about how police manipulated and redacted the police body cam footage. So, ensuring they wear body cam doesn't solve the problem.
When you don’t release the footage immediately, you let the clowns at CNN and MSNBC tell the story. And they have literally ZERO intention of telling the facts of a situation

It also depends on the origin of the video. In the Chauvin case the video was made by a private citizen, the Philando Castille video as well. We can post videos on media platforms, regardless of what the police, government or media decide. The best thing about this age of information is that private citizens no longer wait for biased media and racist governments to decide what version of reality they want us to see. NC, birth place of the KKK, has particular laws to protect their authority. A mandatory court order before releasing police video is one of them. Too bad none of the witnesses who heard the commotion during the attempted arrest of Mr. Brown were younger. We would have just "watched the link".
Many police shootings in Michigan have had the bodycam and dashcam footage released within hours for transparency and without redaction.
I find it so very sad that police put out all the information they have on the shooting victim but never release so much as the name of the shooting offices. It should be public information.
They should release every record they have on them as well.

We certainly need police protocols that ensures alleged crimes will be investigated and that criminal organizations are not awarded millions of dollars in civil suits.
@@jannmutube if the police department responsible is the one examining evidence than I strongly disagree. All evidence related to a police shooting should be automatically handed over to a different agency such as a state AG's office. Only then can the public have some trust in the investigation.
Police departments have participated in cover ups far too often to be trusted. If there's no problem with police conduct why would the local departments not welcome an investigation by an outside agency?
My state has an Appearance of Fairness doctrine in its state laws. That means that not only are processes required to be fair, they are required to appear to be fair. As a local government official I was required to follow this doctrine. I think all states should adopt it and all government agencies including law enforcement should follow it. Then perhaps policing will regain public trust.

Hi, I haven't been able to get an answer yet. How long is the whole video? You must know.
You do also know it's part of an active investigation right? I have no idea of what actually happen, just like the 99% of people.
Hypothetical situation, Im on the side of everything the cops do is wrong. The footage is released and a whim. Hypothetically the officer is in the wrong. Case goes to trial, and the footage is thrown out due to releasing the footage to fast as there are many, many rules surrounding chain of custody regarding evidence. Also compromising a defense or prosecution due to releasing information.
Now I don't know what happened but those are just some reasons to think about.
Wait for information to be properly collected, and presented. Then make educated informed decisions.

The media and public feel like they have the right to get all the details without delay, so they can argue and rule on the case before charges are even laid. I was on North Carolina on my way back from Florida in 2015 and some old white man disrespected my mother in law. I stepped to him and the black people behind the counter was so terrified trying to stop me it scared my mother in law. I stopped and thought about where I was at (Wilmington, NC) a place synonymous with harming black bodies, and decided to calm down and leave. The look on the black people face said everything. Every time a black guy dies they people say there a criminal but has nothing to do with the fact that he was shot 5 times all people do is wait for them to pull they criminal record and if something he did like 15 years ago oh well he deserved it like.
There was an investigation that led to this. They were going to arrest him for selling drugs. and if you see the first four shots, they were on the arm. why did not he stop then? He decided to take his chances. If he succeeds, he still be free selling drugs killing other humans.
