I 100% agreebwith you. Chauvin should have been fired! This is why the DOJ announced today they're investigating MN's and KY's police policies and practices. This illegal practice has been permitted against the poor and minorities.
That won't happen. They will put him somewhere safe, possibly under another name. He will receive the "duty of care" that he denied to Mr. Floyd, and others.
I've never been able to understand why the officer who murdered Tamir Rice wasn't prosecuted. Open carry state, he wasn't endangering anyone and the officer literally gave him no time to comply. They shot him down like a dog, there was no justification for it. Between the moment they arrived on scene and they fired the shots that killed him, maybe 3 seconds passed. The officer who murdered him had been fired from his previous police department because he was deemed emotionally unstable. It still makes me angry.
It's possible that case will be re-opened and it should be. That officer has lied on applications to police departments. He is still trying to get a job on any police department that will accept him.

And, the judge would not allow Chauvin's history of complaints to be allowed in court. Why??? It has everything to do with what happened to George Floyd because it shows a history of disregard for people in the community.
No way am I defending Chauvin, but suppressing previous history is common in almost all criminal trials in the US. The argument is that such knowledge would prejudice the jury. I agree Chauvin did what he did because he always got a pass on his previous actions.
@@joeyager8479 I understand that certain history can prejudice the jury. However, when that history directly correlates to his current behavior and is part of the reason why he is on trial. Why is that history not relevant? George Floyd's drug history was on trial. Why not Chauvin's history of complaints? I don't see the fairness in this. It's not like the prosecution wanted to bring up a history of domestic violence. Yes, that would possibly be irrelevant to the case. Police should be treated like any other professional field. It's like me being a waitress and throwing scalding hot coffee on my customers repeatedly and causing them severe injuries. The restaurant manager knows about it and continues to let me work there, until finally someone goes into shock and passes away. That's when my manager gets concerned. The first question people are going to ask is why did management allow me to continue to work at the restaurant when I had a history of throwing hot coffee at customers. It doesn't take a NASA scientist to figure out that I shouldn't be working with the public. They knew Chauvin shouldn't have been a police officer. They just chose to turn the other way and ignore his brutality.
It's their "blue code" and "blue wall of silence" that is coming crashing down around them now. All those who knew about Chauvin's violent track record and did nothing about it are just as complicit.

What we need is a federal licensing bureau for cops. No more of this migrating around to avoid consequences...formally known as the dance of the lemons. One place that collects all the data on a cop’s fitness to wear a uniform.
I’m an RN for more than 30 years. One of the things I tell new nurses, it’s harder to keep your license than to get your license. If I have anything against my license in any of the 50 states, I can’t get another license in the other 49. That’s why nurses remain the most trusted profession in the world. Officer Derek Chauvin, served honorably in the Unites States Army for 8 years...He served as a Police Officer for 19 years....He was awarded 2 medals of valor and 2 letters of commendation...He received only TWO "letters of reprimands the ONLY disciplinary action in COUNTLESS encounters with the criminal element!!...He was trained to utilize the MRT [Maximum Restraint Technique] by the police department, itwas in their instructional training manual!!...The manual also instructs to maintain the technique UNTIL medical personnel arrives [EMT]...Therefore, the over 8-minutes he assumed the position followed code and is IRRELEVANT!!...This was NOT revealed at his trial, which was a set-up and a miscarriage of justice!!
But the Law & Order crowd said he was an angel, how could this be? Do you mean they could be wrong? How many things weren't reported about this guy?
ALL POLICE OFFICERS IN EVERY DEPARTMENT NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM
Be sure not to call them if you need them
@@vickiefinney6073 Why would anybody call the cops Protect yourself don't depend on the government to do it for you. Only sheep call cops 🐑
@@Jeremy-ul3it i personally can say, I've never seen sheep call the cops before 🐑 📱
@@vickiefinney6073 That's because you're one of them
@@Jeremy-ul3it last time i looked i had only 2 legs and wasn't covered in wool. Im beginning to think you actually don't know what sheep look like 😅
Where are the good apples when this one keeps getting away with all this violence ?
That’s only one cop out of the entire department....in one city out of one State....this goes on everyday in every city in every State.....we have more people locked up than we have going to college. This Country is built off a horrible history that still goes on today.
I bet the Minneapolis PD wishes they'd fired him when they had the chance, I hope it's a lesson to other departments about what a guy like this can cost you.
Yes but then the police union would've overhaul his firing.
This wasn't an accident, this is the standard. They're all cowards & psychpaths.
Not all police are like that and the fact you believe that shows how stupid you are. The media has corrupted your mind.
Cringe
THIS SPEAKS TO THE POLICE DEPARTMENT, THE MAYOR, THE CITY!!!! they support this
27 million speaks a lot. They deserved that lawsuit.
As Trevor Noah said..”it’s not a matter of a few rotten apples it’s a matter of a rotten tree”!
Life in jail and nothing less.
Keeping him on the force is a good question. Whole police dept needs investigated cause he's
probably not the only one that has ever done this. Other police departments need looked into also.
This is so bloody depressing!
Thank God he won't be able to do this to anyone anymore. What a shock he was still a police officer after all this complaints Minnesota police department need to be sued why wasn't this brought up during court justice system so corrupt for not allowing this in court.
And thank God because the bad guy can't falsify more bills too.
Because it was prejudicial to his case and everyone would have found him guilty what’s funny to me is they say his record was clean despite 22 complaints and already killing that sounds anything but clean to me 🙄
His superiors should be held accountable as well..
C he thought he would get away wit doing whatever to black men/boys I hope he gets all the time possible and when he appeals he’s loses them all
BUT, He had to be removed, to get off of George Floyd, even after the Ambulance help came!!! HE IS A NEW KIND OF CRAZY!!!
AND A CHILD WATCHED HIM TOO AND NO REGUARD!!! HOW IS THAT TO PROTECT AND SERVE!!!
Oh god. How can any system allow this kind of person to be on their watch? Sickening. It’s gut wrenching.
..... and people wonder why we are so angry and why we have had enough!!! This is outrageous
Outrageous!! One should actually start punishing the superiors of such officers!!
Their cognitive dissonance is very convenient for them and comforting
Works for Democrats, so...
HORRIFIC STATS! GOOD MAN MERRICK NEEDS TO GET ON THIS ONE TOO.
You know george floyd had horrific stats as well. Good thing not only 1 bad dude is gone.but 2
