There will be a Quad widget back in OpenTX 2.3.12 so if you use this version or later of Opentx on this kind of radio you shouldn't need all of these steps.. If you have any questions about things like travel and setup then please check out my INAV for Beginners 2020 series where I cover all of the steps I use that work great. Best of luck
Thanks for this video, Lee! The amount of knowledge in your YT library for fixed-wing pilots is wonderful. Would you consider a video on the iNav FixedWingGroup OpenTX Standard Model? I run into the problem of not setting my models up all the same and recently discovered this OpenTX iNav "template" model that has all kinds of stuff preset and along with a CLI copy/paste in the configurator enables some pretty cool stuff. Thanks for all you contribute!
You have helped me many times. Thanks. I wanted to get your advice. My racing quad is all set up and working except for one issue. After arming I stick up to full power which it does. But when I bring the throttle stick down, the motors remain at full throttle. Is this a betaflight fix or a tx16s fix?
Short and sweet. love it. No need to adjust extreme throw values to 1000 and 2000 with subtrim then check if center is at 1500? I thought that betaflight prefers 1000 to 2000.
There is a lot outside of the scope of the video. This is aimed at those struggling to make a basic model type and add two extra switches. Maybe a more detailed video on a few of those extra things I do if this proves popular..
Thank you for doing this video, one thing I have not been able to figure out yet is how can I use my tx-16 S radio with a long-range APM 2.8 airplane build, what receiver do I need I was thinking about using Express lrs but then I hear they can't run servos? Thank you for the help I am confused on this right now.
I think many of my issues have come about because of confusion about where the arming is set up, in OpenTX or BetaFlight/iNav. I have been trying to get them to work in OpenTX companion with no success. It seems possible in either place. I think of the open software as something like Unix (also open software), everything is possible, but nothing is easy. lol Cheers!
All you need is one channel setup on the radio for arming (usually CH5 or CH6) then setup the ARM mode for that channel in the position you want. Best of luck!
Great video thx!! ? When your adjusting the subtrim to get the center stick at 1500. Is it wrong to calibrate your radio to fix that issue? When I use BF and my center stick is off I always calibrate the radio in that BF screen and the center sticks usually go to 1500. Is that not a good way should I be using the subtrim? Thx in advance
Sadly for me, this is the latest brick wall for me. I have a Archer RS receiver successfully bound to an X9 Lite on Fport but i am not getting any feedback in Inav. I have the correct Uart with the right settings on the F411, i get a few telemetry readings, have all the latest firmware flashed....still nothing =[ i am so ready to sit this Kopilot on the shelf but i just cant seem to get this build working for me
I don't use fport here.. good FC manufacturers do provide some guidance. I.e. www.mateksys.com/?p=4488 Best of luck with it and I hope you get it working soon..
hey its me again i have createt a modell with delta and that was wrong i have create a modell airplane and now its working but there are still problems inav says i am pitching but the servos are rolling and i can not give gas with my reciever

Happy to - I hope to hear from one of them so I can look at a video.. I may do a video showing how I set it up. Stay tuned!

I've never seen that here. What BF version?

I would look at Crossfire for super-long range flying of any type. I have videos on how it works with stuff like Ardupilot too.. Best of luck.
@@Painless360 thank you that is what I have been looking for, I will search your channel to find the videos you're talking about
Can you do a follow on video that covers backups and restore? For Open TX
Sure, what is it you want to do?
Don't you need to set the output min/maxes so you get 1000 - 1500 - 2000 instead of the usual Taranis/etc 987 - 1500 - 2011? Or does iNav not care?
Please see the full INAV setup video series..

That is one way to do it but you can find that some receivers will report the values differently from others... Happy flying!
Umm, purple! Your videos are really timely as I have a new radio for quads, and planing to acquire one like yours, minus the pretty parts.
is this a jumper t16 pro supported?
I don't understand what you are asking. Can you rephrase?
Thanks, Super useful!
Just in time.. thanks 💪💪👊👊

Please follow all of the steps in my INAV for beginners 2020 series. If you missed that basic step, you may have missed the others.... Best of luck
You can just press RET when asked about the model type and you'll get a very generic setup without any expo and other stuff, suitable for quads
