Please make a knitted mosaic stitch unisex adult hat with solid color ribbing that can fold up or fold down!!! I am soo excited about this video! I am a knitting chicken! Feeling bolder now 🥳🍁
My favorite childhood sweater was a Yellow Brick Sweater that was made in this stitch! I'm so happy for this tutorial, because I might try to recreate it in an adult size :)
Very easy to follow, love in it, and the mortar could be black and the brick dark red, that would be awesome, of course those are my two favorite colors, lol, always looking for something to make with those two colors. Thank you for your tutorial, will be making a scarf soon, as I also love knitting as well as crocheting. Have been working on hats for the homeless, have different styles as a matter of fact was looking through your tutorials for some hats when is came across to his tutorial. Well back by to looking. P.S. thank you for having your camera close enough so we can see the stitches, especially in crocheting. 😁💞💞🌹
I'm learning to knit in between my crochet projects. So far I am sticking to dish cloths. I like the idea of using a kitchen cotton for the grout rows and a scrubby yarn for the bricks. Thanks for the tutorial and ideas!
Watching you has refreshed what I remember about knitting. Thank you for doing your tutorial at a pace I can follow. Maybe I will need to pick up the knitting needles again. I usually crochet. Thank you Fiber Spider. I enjoy your videos. Keep them coming!!!💕💕💕💕 On top of that I am left handed and can still follow you. Very clear instructions.
Craig, I really enjoy the way you do your tutorials! I know that I can follow along and you won't skip any step that might be needed. Keep up the good work 👏
Hello Fiber Spider I love how the scarf came out I’m a crocheter I can’t knit for my life lol I tried and tried but I will not give up!!! I’m going to give this a try Keep it up!!! You are doing an amazing job Blessings and stay safe
I've never gotten to be the first viewer before! Yeah, me! Thanks so much taking the time to share your skills. 💞 I love Heartland! I got a bunch of it at 30% off a few months ago. It washes & dries great.
This is great! I've wanted to try mosaic work in either way-crochet or knitting. I've been watching Fiber Fox and Tinna, too, for the mosaic crocheting. Thanks for doing this knitting tutorial. Now I can figure out which will work best for me.😀😷😀
Oh My...While I love this scarf, I know nothing about knitting 🤦♀️ I see I'm joining other commenters in wondering if it's possible for you to do one in crochet🤷♀️. I don't have time at the moment, but would love to crochet it next year. Keep up the good work...Your tutorials are awesome! Thank you ❤️
You make it look so eady! I just might have to try this one thanks for the tutorials. I've tried a couple of your patterns. The Virus blanket I made came out beautiful. Wish I knew how to post a picture of it so you could see.

Hi Craig I am making this scarf and have never worked with two strands of yarn independent of one another. I know how to cast off and finish a regular piece but am not sure how to cast off and finish this scarf. I need help.
Ok, here's the official answer, from Suzanne Bryan, TKGA Master Knitter (I texted her a screenshot of Fiber Spider's swatch): "Brick stitch is a Mosaic stitch pattern. "Mosaic is a subset of slipped stitches. Not all slipped stitches are mosaic. This is mosaic. "There is a very similar design that involves two garter ridges between the lines. It is not mosaic. In mosaic you always slip 2 rows."
It uses "slipped stitches", which is also used in Mosaic patterns. Another thing in common: When a color is active, the sts are knit; and in the same row, the inactive sts are slipped. RS and WS.

Tinna is the Icelandic Queen of Mosaic Crochet. Her work is stunning. She has a FaceBook group and tutorials for beginners on TH-cam.
I think I'm going to try this in tunisian crochet, then I can crochet & don't have all the ends. I'll see how it comes out.
Would love a pattern for a hat to match!!!!

Can you switch it to crochet instead if knitting that pattern you would crochet instead?
I think it could be done in single crochet?
Have you thought of doing a written pattern of this?

How much yarn or did I just missed it?
Depends on the project you want to do with varying dimensions. For my scarf with 30 stitches, I only needed the two skeins and had a bit left over.
Thank you
Yes Google crochet brick stitch
No offence to you, but I prefer overlay mosiac crochet. Good video otherwise.
You might consider changing the name to brick stitch and not mosaic..just a thought..great video
I’ve seen this stitch before with another designer and it isn’t mosaic.
@Starfire Horizon doesn’t look like it to me. I love the stitch though. Knitting the brick stitch isn’t mosaic to me.

@@TheDollyce there is another designer who did this exact tutorial but it was not mosaic. She did it a little different.
