Beautiful flight and plane. I have a Pulsar 3.2m pro that I would love to slope with, it's similar to this bird so I imagine it would be fine in the right conditions. Very nice John.
Thanks for yet another beautiful video! The F5J design seems to be more anxious at low speed than your other models like Bird of times, Thermalist, etc. What is your feeling?
Yes definitely. The ‘old timer’ designs are not as efficient overall but are great at flying slow with their big wing cords and fat under-cambered wing sections.
Hi John some advice please. I have been flying a 2.6mt Radian XL for a couple of years and as I fly paragliders i use this on flat fields and my paraglider sites from coastal cliffs. I was going to purchase the Introduction FJ5 because I wanted to build a sailplane but now I am wondering if I should go straight for the Inside FJ5. What do you think? Or should I learn on the Introduction model then swap the wings for the Inside model if I feel I want to. Is the Inside model faster than the Introduction? I am quite happy flying in gentle cliff breezes when its too light for my paraglider of 30 years! Thx Pete.
Hi John. Another very appreciative subscriber here in the U.S.A. What glider out of all the gliders you have flown would you call your favorite..from modern designs to the early designs from the 40s & 50s, the one that you would take if you could only take one for one year. I know that just about impossible to answer. Maybe name two or three.
Thank you so much. Glad you enjoy the channel, the videos are always great fun to make. I still think my favourite glider is the Ocean Breeze. It flies in a variety of wind strengths, it is very responsive but also flies ‘hands off’
@@jasmijnarielnot really, if you look well it has a rubber band around the prop blades, as on the coast in the wind he certainly does not need a motor. And as John has written is was a swap, and it gives him the option of flying at normal fields and go for thermals.

The cameras angle can sometimes be deceptive. It’s only a relatively shallow slope down to the costal path about 50 meters below, and only then does it get steep. There is no way I can fall off .
As a child, I used to watch someone flying gliders like that over the cliffs and hills of the Jurassic Coast. So peaceful.
Awesome flying!
Your videos always cheer me up when I'm having a bad day. Thanks🙂👍🛩
Thank you again. So glad you enjoy the videos!
Gorgeous scenery, beautiful glider mastered with usual dexterity.Sincere congrats and cheers!
Thank you!
Beautiful plane. I have the simpler cousin to this, the “Introduction F5J” and love it.

Thank you. It does fly really well off the slope but I was trying not to over-stress the airframe.
@@SlopeRCGliders That is my concern as well, but it looked beautiful in the air. Thanks and have a great day!
Yet another beautiful plane and video!!!
You build remarkably straight models.
Tracking through a simple loop is the tell-all.
Thank you. But I can’t take credit for building this one. It’s one I swapped with a friend.
Wow! Yes. Its fast & sleek. Good to see flaps and then she sits like a hawk.
Doesn't get any better than that does it ?
What a beauty
Wunderschön, da möchte man ja gleich mitfliegen. Tolle Aufnahmen.
Que preciosidad de planeador. 👍👍👌👌

Hello John another spectacular glider . It is possible to know its name and if the plans are available . Best regards, Andres
Hi there, it’s called an Inside. It’s available as a kit from here www.hyperflight.co.uk/products.asp?code=INSIDEF5J&name=inside-f5j-2-9m

pleasure to watch
Another Stunning model. I can't afford to watch your channels anymore 🙄
Holy Cow what a beautiful sailplane. Big Loops..
Thank you.
Had wing flutter with mine!
How fast was it?
I build the same model now,,and thinking about cfk-profiles everywhere, for stability...
Quel site exceptionnel pour faire du vol de pente... je ne suis pas pilote vol à voile. M
Was that a 4-channel configuration?
It does have a motor as well, so it’s got 5 channels.
When you double all ruders?
6ruder on the wing,2servos in the plane,,its 8 channel.
With motor you need a 9channel reciever😊
I used Y-leads on the flaps and ailerons so I can use a 6 channel receiver.
lovely
oh... it's the name of the glider... I saw some video was like "inside crow" I was like but it never looked inside the glider...
Magic
Hello, can this model buy somewhere? Thank you.😯

kit
Yes it is. www.hyperflight.co.uk/products.asp?code=INSIDEF5J&name=inside-f5j-2-9m
thank you John I just ordered one of those, I hope the instructions are in English 😃
Flaps, that's cheating John! 😀
A car with brakes isnt cheating? But on a plane is?
That electro engine on a slope is worse

Do you ever get so wrapped up concentrating on controlling your glider that your forget if you take one step forward you die?
