This is my favourite twenty one pilots album, I think it's their strongest. The storytelling is amazing, and it doesn't feel fake at all, at least not to me.
For the era, concert and pure dedication into not only the album and songs but to the lore of their band was definitely the best but my favorite for the music itself is self titled lmfao sorry Josh
So glad you checked this out, I think it's my favourite album of theirs. Jumpsuit->Nico->Levitate have a series of music videos that tell a story when watched in that order and give more details on the lore behind the album. Dema is the 'city' Tyler is trying to leave, which is controlled by 9 bishops ('Nico and the Niners') who want to keep the inhabitants trapped in their dark thoughts and ultimately to commit suicide. Tyler is trying to 'leave the city' and escape into 'Trench' with the 'Banditos', rebels who have already escaped from the bishops control. Dema represents tyler's struggles with mental health/dark thoughts which he keeps trying to escape and then falling back into and how it's a constant cycle. the character Nico is another name for Blurryface from their previous album and Trench kinda dives deeper into who Blurryface is and how Tyler kinda wrestles for control with him.
Chlorine is about Tyler's love/hate relationship with songwriting, it used to just be a way to 'cleanse' himself and work through his emotions but now it's his job. Neon Gravestones is about the glorification of suicide, particularly celebrity suicide. The Hype is about how other people can influence the songwriting process and how exciting it is being close to someone who is creating. Cut My Lip is about how he will lean on his fans for support and persevere through things that are hard to get to a better place. Pet Cheetah is about writers block and Legend is about Tyler's grandpa who had dementia and died while he was writing the record.
I'm happy you enjoyed Trench! It's my favorite Twenty One Pilots album and I also saw them live during this era so it hold a special place in my heart. I think my favorite track would be Neon Gravestones or Leave the City. :)
My favorite band…. and my favorite album. Tyler poured his guts and everything into this one. These guys put on the best show I’ve ever seen. My favorite on this album is probably Cut My Lip…but they’re all so good. His falsetto is insanely showcased on this album. He’s got such a unique voice. Would love to see you do Blurryface

Well I just stumbled into your channel but I can definitely say 2 things, 1: you should do their other albums as well I believe they have 3 other ones (4 if you count Regional at best) and 2: you have a great voice for asmr
💋 cut my lip & morph are my faves on this- mostly because I really relate to the lyrics & I love their sound. This album surprised me with Tyler’s singing & cemented just how good a vocalist he actually is.
