I love watching you love turkey hunting!! No corn piles, no $500 pop up blinds and no state of the art full strutter deoys. Just get your back against a tree and create an illusion, thats my kind of turkey hunting!! Thanks for another great video!!
That’s the exact same way as I feel! He truly hunts turkeys with no deception of any kind except a call. That is true turkey hunting in my opinion! Back to a tree with woodsmanship. Woodsmanship will kill more turkeys than anything else
I don't know who was more worked up, you or the bird! I loved how you were talking about him "screaming for the whole world to hear" and that joker popped full strut for one last time!
I just noticed, at the 4:30 mark of this video, you passed nice 4 prong ginseng plant. Love hearing you call and watching the hunts. I thought you had it won at the grand nationals this year in Nashville. I enjoyed hearing you call in person. Thanks for the videos.
"I got the WOBBLES" ......I LOVE it. That's why I hunt! I LOVE the "WOBBLES"!!!! Big fan man! I'm like Cuz, I think I've watched them all at least a couple of times!! Keep up the good work. AND CONGRATS ON THE TEAM AIR AND FRICTION WIN TODAY!!!!! AND THE 2nd PLACE FINISH IN THE SENIOR OPEN!!!
The explanation at the end of the video was the best part for me.... they live their whole lives scared to death and for a few weeks of the year, they stand tall and scream, for the rights to breed and pass on his lineage. I'm excited for my first year to hunt turkeys but that got me all the more excited!
Great hunt!! That Gobbler acted like he was on vacation!!! Can you send me a link to the Gun camera and the fixture you use to secure it to your barrel. Thanks
Great hunt. I grew up in the Appalachian Mountains. It can be tricky as the mountains echo sound and it’s easy to choose the wrong direction. Nice correction and finish to harvest a nice gobbler. Congratulations man!
Keep fighting the good fight !! Forget the haters . Screw a kill I want tha real and you go above and beyond to capture it. You do it for yourself and that’s what makes it so special!
That was as good as it gets. I've been hunting these birds for 45 years now and that hunt reminds me of so many hunts. Hearing a turkey and cannot for the life pinpoint him and spending thirty minutes in the wrong direction and then finding him and finally killing him. It's no better feeling than knowing you just participated in a chess match and won on his terms. Wish there was catch and release in this sport!
Absolutely beautiful hunt! It doesn’t get any better in the mountain hardwoods!!! Just awesome seeing him come around through there looking, beautiful! Great hunt brother
My theory is hunters dont kill gobblers. Gobblers kill themselves! It's their mistake that seals the deal. Good calling man. You knew just when to call and shut up. Wish everyone knew that....😂
Love ole Mountain Gobblers. Some old birds are smart and super wary PA Allegheny National Forest my favorite place to roam the many logging roads and benches. Thank you for this one.
Solid Gold. Ole boy saluted while you were talking about him screaming from the mountain top for the right to breed. Man im tellin ya..... SOLID FREEKIN GOLD.
Wow...what a hunt Brother !! Dave I can't tell you how much I appreciate how you honor these amazing birds that God has privileged us to hunt. Thanks for taking us along !! God bless ya my friend !!
Man what a hunt, what a bird, ain’t nothin like them mountain birds, the public land in my area that has fields stays super crowded so mountain birds are all I have good opportunity to hunt and it’s amazing how much you can learn about the turkeys and woodsmanship up in them mountains, glad to see how much you enjoy and appreciate it. If you ever have time for it I believe a video on tips for improving woodsmanship would do really well.
Awesome hunt 👍. Not sure who was worked up more while you had to watch him standing there you or I. Good luck this season 2022, can't wait till it starts here in central Florida 🦃
It opens earlier than most states where I hunt and by the time it's right (like your talking about) most of the pilgrims have called it a season and the woods are wide open!! 🤫
Hey love watching the videos! One of the few I watch even when you aren’t killing something! Quick question, when will you be getting some more calls in? Pot and diaphragm
Another great video. Just received two of your ghost cut mouth calls. Used one last year and one of the easiest calls I’ve ever used. Called in two toms. Thanks Dave.
i agree with all you say and do-i do know what you mean but idt that mature turkeys walk around scared they are the masters of the forest, they sometime get ambushed but what doesnt they feel like they can escspe anything and talk and walk so brave -if scared they would flip from fear on the fisrt step cause danger can be literally anywhere they anounce their presence at first light then fly down -like saying here we are come and get us if you can, than make more noise as if to raise hell if they had the sense of smell than the twisted souls would truly get their fix or just cry a lot
What state was this in? Aren't you afraid of Rattlesnakes & Copperheads in those rocks? Extreme patience Dave, look forward to your videos every day. Thank you for sharing
Love hunting A hot bird in the hardwoods, benches can definitely fool your ears. Way to pull it all together. I though for A minute he was going to spin around and work back up the bench.

That only works for people who don’t have to work a lot. Or those that get paid to. The rest of us are time constrained.

Wow that was awesome!! Fine job well thought out.
Loved it!!!
Beautiful hunt, beautiful bird! We all live for those kinds of mornings. Thanks for sharing it with us!
Best video of yours yet! I love the self filmed hunts better than with a gaggle of other hunters.
Dave you was almost human on this hunt ! 🙃😉
My theory is hunters dont kill gobblers. Gobblers kill themselves! It's their mistake that seals the deal. Good calling man. You knew just when to call and shut up. Wish everyone knew that....😂
That breeze was right on time at the end. Had to spread that tail fan out one last time.
