This is the allure of turkey hunting, you never know what lengths your gonna go to in order to seal the deal.I have belly crawled, waded creeks, ground myself up in briars and became A mountain goat A time or two. Man you hit it on the head. My first bird with my son with me we crawled about 60 to 70 yards through a swamp full of moccasins. Matter of fact it looked just like the one from when Dave and Zach were hunting. When I was telling the story to my wife I could see her getting more passed and more pissed about what I put my son through, but hey he loved it and is now just as hooked as me.

I have so many wonderful memories and experiences thanks to the turkey woods. My son and I relive hunts we’ve had together often. I love all hunting but turkey’s are my thing. Good luck this season and I wish you and your son many harvest and memories.
There is no hunting like turkey hunting. It is my heart, it pumps my blood. All other hunting just helps keep me focused on the prize. Us turkey hunters are different. Others just have no idea.

I have swam for turkeys before. And when I say swim. I mean over 6 feet deep water. Waste deep is just another day in early season for a SC swamp hunter.

I hunt a creek bottom I've waded the creek lots of times. Three or four hundred yards at times. Carry my billfold and shells in zip lock bags. Sometimes its belt deep!
Hard earned birds are the best birds. Only a select few will consistently kill hard earned turkeys, the rest will come home empty handed or keep buying junk products until they finally cheat him.
