I believe Poly Styrene is from a broken home and didn’t see much of her father. She was traveling a lot as a teenager going to music festivals. Was in a punk band at an early age in the 70s UK punk scene. Did have issues with drugs, mental health and motherhood with her daughter who does sing with her in this video. Her daughter discusses these issues in the documentary .So probably not nolstagic about the whole family Xmas thing.
