Sexuality has always been a part of drag performances because it’s just that, a performance of art. The narrative that drag performers are more “sexual” or predatory (which is completely made up) now compared to how they were in your golden years, is a dangerous opinion to hold. I pity you and all of these commenters that have allowed the latest round of right wing propaganda (including all this transphobic bullshit that everybody now has an opinion on) to distract you from the real issues that plague our present and future.

But really the Kabuki at the time was more of a news of the day mixed with myths, and because the women were starting to take more political stances and refused to fall in line with the ruling class, it was outlawed for women turning it into an all male art. If I remember correctly it was because it was dishonorable to execute women but men could be executed or forced to commit hari-kari.
I dont have a problem with drag or trans people I actually recommend people to experience one show in there life with the bois at the very least but when it comes to kids watching and or participating in drag it just doesnt feel right to me. Anyone else have a similar opinion?
I've seen drag videos in front of kids, actually toddlers ..I don't get it. I started watching the clips of the story hour and drag shows. My college has them monthly now. Idk why the obsession with LGBTQ, I'm part of it and I don't understand it.

Got dragged to one, it was a really fun time. Don’t know where or how many of these involve kids but I think most reasonable people can see that an entire art form doesn’t need to be attacked because sometimes parents bring their children to their shows (which I think is a little odd)
